Kinda freaking out!

Has anyone else have an ultrasound at 5 weeks along (maybe a day or two behind that) and not see ANYTHING AT ALL?? no gestational sac, nothing. The doctor said it's normal and shes checking my hcg levels but I cant help but be so nervous and freaking out. Has this happened to anyone else this early and it ended up being completely fine??

    With my first, we used saw a reproductive specialist and the very first ultra sound, it was a sac but nothing. The doctor wasn’t helpful and two days later we saw a different doctor (they switched off mornings) and little dude was there! I was exactly 5 weeks the first ultrasound.

    5 weeks is really early, that's why my OB doesn't even schedule ultrasounds until at least 8 weeks unless there's a specific reason/complication. Prior to then you often can't see a heartbeat and, let's face it, the little bugger is still a tadpole so there's not much to really see. If your doctor isn't concerned, don't worry about it.
