  • Est Due Date/ Weeks + Days: November 3 /12w6d

    FTM/STM/STM+: FTM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue: 💙

Interesting Baby Fact / Baby is size of: Baby is the size of a scoop of ice cream/ Plum

Upcoming Appointments: NIPT this afternoon and tele appointment tomorrow.

How are you feeling?: I still have sore boobs, although less than they used to be. Less fatigue too, I successfuly skipped my nap yesterday! I wonder if that will stay the whole time. I felt so good emotionnaly for a few days after my 12 week ultrasound then got a call to double check the genetic test and I started to feel anxious again. Honestly nothing super worrying but PGAL brain gives me a hard time to see the finish line with confidence.

Rants/Raves: My boss has been so all over the place lately, I dream of my maternity leave....

    Questions:

GTKY:  Are you planning on taking a baby-moon? If so, where are you going or where do you want to go? Not sure with this COVID-19 situation, if we do I think we may rent a cottage or something near a lake and spend a few days there during our vacation time this summer.

  • Est Due Date/ Weeks + Days:  November 1st...13w1d

    FTM/STM/STM+:  STM (DD 27 months)

Team Green/Pink/Blue:  Finding Out! Had my NIPT done on Thursday and should have the results by Thursday, but we are going to do a gender reveal!

Interesting Baby Fact / Baby is size of: Baby is a lemon (TB) and a Matchbox Car (Ovia)

Upcoming Appointments:  Normal check-up on 5/13

How are you feeling?:  I was great until this morning.  I had to call the nurse line. I woke up this morning to bright red bleeding and I normally don't freak out, but that instantly freaked me the EFF out.  It stopped within the hour.  I am on couch rest today and was told to drink a lot of water.  And rest for the next 2 days and directions to call back immediately if it starts again. She said my ultrasound on Thursday was picture perfect and because the bleeding resolved on its own, she just wanted to watch/monitor for now, which works for me.

Rants/Raves: See above for the rant, but also a rave since everything appears to be okay.

Questions: Is anyone still doing their workouts at normal pre-pregnancy intensity?  I am wondering if I did this to myself.  The only thing that I changed up was working out yesterday as I had taken (2) days off from spotting on Thursday.  I am actively going to look into a Peloton because maybe my weight lifting workouts and high intensity jumping around cardio are no longer okay for this pregnancy.

GTKY:  Are you planning on taking a baby-moon? If so, where are you going or where do you want to go?  Hmm that is a great question.  I don't think it will necessarily be a baby-moon, but I want to go on vacation somewhere this summer once all this COVID stuff is over.  Honestly down the shore for a long weekend would even work for me and bringing DD along wouldn't bother me in the slightest.  I would like to possibly do AC sans DD once the casinos open back up so MH and I can hit up some fun gambling and The Sugar Factory.

Rants/Raves: DH was amazing and basically deep cleaned the house this weekend

    Questions:

GTKY:  Are you planning on taking a baby-moon? If so, where are you going or where do you want to go? No, we do have a family vacation planned for the beach in September with ILs, BIL/SIL and their daughter who is DS's age

Interesting Baby Fact / Baby is size of: a plum

Upcoming Appointments: phone appt for NIPT results on Wed

How are you feeling?: So much better! Still bloated and constipated though 😭

GTKY:  Are you planning on taking a baby-moon? If so, where are you going or where do you want to go?
Nah. We don't have the money, and aren't really big travelers anyway. I love the IDEA of traveling, just not the actual experience (most of the time). Plus we have DS, and the plague, so that'll be a big nope.

  • @mimser How was your blood draw? Fx for good results!
@bserena Yay for appts this week!
@jaclyn0405 So scary! How are you now? Have you asked your doc about exercise? I was told that if I was doing it before getting pregnant, then it should be fine for first trimester at least, but I admit to being more careful just in general now. And with your situation it sounds possible that the two are related....
@ksdelong20 Were you team green with YS too? Good for you!

  • @hedgepig the blood draw went well. That's a record for me to have 2 in less than a week! I'm starting to be better with needles I guess. Only 4-6 more business days to wait...
  • @hedgepig I am doing okay now! It was just the bleeding for an hour and then it stopped.  I am resting until tomorrow and will work out on Thursday.  I am thinking the two are somehow related as well.  I did an ab workout on Sunday in addition to a full body lifting workout and it may have been too much for my body.  I am going to look into yoga and active maternity workouts or at the very least cease ab workouts and high intensity cardio that requires bouncing around of any source.  My doctor told me I would be okay too, but I am thinking that is no longer the case.
  • ksd20ksd20 member
@hedgepig yep! We were team green with him too!

Interesting Baby Fact / Baby is size of:

Upcoming Appointments: next week I have my first MFM appt. I'm high risk due to age and previous 2nd tri losses.

How are you feeling?: Like complete garbage 24/7. Don't know what to eat and when I do most of it comes back up.

Rants/Raves: it's just been hard feeling wau h shit all the time on top of the stress of Covid19. Really hoping I turn the corner soon.

    Questions:

GTKY:  Are you planning on taking a baby-moon? If so, where are you going or where do you want to go?
Lol, my partner doesn't even want me to leave the house to go to the doctor.
  • @jaclyn0405 So glad things seem better! I've mentioned this elsewhere but I am a big fan of MommaStrong. I've been doing it for over a year now and now am doing the Momma-to-be program love that the exercises are all pregnancy safe and there are lots of levels of modification depending on your strength/motivation level. Highly recommend.

    FTM/STM/STM+: FTM

Team Green/Pink/Blue: Finding out anyyyyy day now :)

Interesting Baby Fact / Baby is size of: Plum/Tennis ball/Jelly Doughnut Hole

    Upcoming Appointments: Friday

How are you feeling?: Nausea is all but totally gone, but replaced by migraines. Been trying to do more cardio, preventatively. Excited to see Baby on Friday and also to find out the sex! Going into 2nd trimester; things are finally really starting to feel real.

Rants/Raves: Seems like my new wake-up time is 5:30am; decided to capitalize on that and get a workout in before DH woke up and took over the living room for the day. It's nice to regain some energy!

Questions: Does anybody else get like random pain in their groin? Feels like stabbing. I looked it up and I think it's lightning crotch, but that typically doesn't start until later and I've been getting them for a while now.

GTKY:  Are you planning on taking a baby-moon? If so, where are you going or where do you want to go? I wish! We were planning on going back to Hawai'i in August for our Anniversary/Babymoon, but that's obviously not going to happen. Realistically, we will likely take a trip somewhere drivable depending on the pandemic.

@jaclyn0405 Glad you are feeling better. I worked out on Thursday after I set up the Peloton and my experience was scary. I didn't account for how much faster a pregnant heartbeat is (nor the fact that I hadn't been working out for the last 8 weeks) and joined a regular level ride. 16 mins in, my heart was beating out of my chest and I thought I would vomit. It took a full hour for my heart rate to regulate. I had some slight spotting that evening and popped into the OB the next day for a quick scan to make sure everything was alright (it is). I've been modifying ever since, and now I definitely feel better. Just cannot push as hard as I'd normally like to.
  • @laurenmicheley thanks love! And OMG we had exact similar experiences.  I don't wish you to be in the same boat, but I find it comforting that you experienced the same thing and everything was okay.  I am definitely scaling back.  I did an upper body workout today, but instead of my normal weights I used 5lbs and a resistance band and loop.  Still got a burn without killing myself.  It is hard for me to slow down, but I definitely see the need to do so and will be modifying from here on out.  So glad you got it all figured out too! <3
  • @jaclyn0405 You can find it at mommastrong.com - it's $5 a month, but great value. You get daily 15 min workouts, lots of short 5 minute workouts, a ton of targeted fix me's for pain or problems, and it's all targeted at helping to heal, realign, strengthen women's bodies, especially from all the damage pregnancy, childbirth and general momming do. Plus it's a mom run small business 😁💜👍
Oh, there is a FB page that has had some free sample workouts recently too.

  • @hedgepig Nothing, yet. Starting to get a little antsy since it's definitely about time to get results.I called my OB's office yesterday who said they'd contact the imaging center to see what the status is - but haven't heard anything back. Hopefully, I get results today.

rants/raves: while it’s not their fault it’s hard being a FTM and not having my DH be able to accompany me to doctor appts.

    Questions: none

GTKY are you planning on taking a baby moon?: we were planning on going to Charleston, SC in July or early August. We have a friend who lives there and offered to let us stay with them. However with the coronavirus that trip isn’t looking like it’s going to happen
  • Aww yay @hedgepig so happy for great results and a girl! <3

    Team Green/Pink/Blue: We're having a boy!!!!

Interesting Baby Fact / Baby is size of: Team Lemon

Upcoming Appointments: Not until 15 weeks. Had NIPT done at 10 weeks. Hard to wait for next US at 20 wks since last one was at 8wks

How are you feeling?: Great compared to first trimester. Not as nauseous or exhausted. But like many others my head is killing me!

    Rants/Raves:

    Questions:

GTKY:  Are you planning on taking a baby-moon? If so, where are you going or where do you want to go? We'd love to, but travel options are super limited right now. If COVID-19 clears up, I want to see my family in Chicago and go camping!
  • @laurenmicheley I've also been having those pains and wonder if it's round ligament pain?? I hear it's totally normal, but I know it's really uncomfortable!

Congrats to all with good test results and finding out baby's sex. So exciting!!!
  • Had my OB appt this morning. We are measuring right on track with a heart rate of 155bmp. Baby is soooooo active! We were able to see his entire face and he was moving so much the entire time. Ultrasound was abdominal which is such an improvement from transvaginal.

@36anditsmyfirst I asked my OB this morning and she said they could be growing pains - RLP is around your pelvic bone area and my pains are basically vaginal and abdominal. Said it's nothing to worry about, though. :)
  • @laurenmicheley your ultrasound picture was awesome! So awesome that he is moving around and so active!
  • mimsermimser member
@laurenmicheley just saw your US pic! 💙 So baby was measuring a whole week bigger?
  • @mimser He's measuring 13w+5 and I am 13w+1 so only 4 days. They leave the due date alone if it's within a week.
  • mimsermimser member

Team Green/Pink/Blue: Team Finding Out (hopefully soon!)

Interesting Baby Fact / Baby is the size of: a stick of lipstick

    Upcoming Appointments: 5/29

How are you feeling?: I'm starting to have more energy and nausea is better for the most part. Getting car sick lately though. Now that I'm feeling better, I've tried to exercise more often, but I already feel so out of shape...

Rants/Raves: Last appt was yesterday, where I had the NT scan (everything is good) and blood work for fetal DNA screening. We've chosen to find out the baby's gender, so I'm looking forward to that. Family keeps asking and making predictions; while I know they're just excited and will love the baby no matter what, a part of me just wants to know so that I don't "get my hopes up" thinking it's one or the other. I feel bad for thinking that. I'm the only girl on both sides when it comes to siblings and cousins in my family.

Questions: Have your families offered or just flat out given you things for the little one yet? Any advice on how to handle this without being rude? The inlaws seem to want to "pass down" a bunch of things, and I really don't want the clutter or obligation to use all of it. I'm also just excited about planning and getting certain things for myself...

GTKY:  Are you planning on taking a baby-moon? If so, where are you going or where do you want to go?
We had originally planned a trip to Disney... :( But now we're hoping to plan a week in NH or ME in the summer.

Interesting Baby Fact / Baby is size of: size of a macaroon

Upcoming Appointments: May 5th NT scan & May 19th second appointment

How are you feeling?: Still nauseous and tired but it’s starting to ease up

Rants/Raves: loving anything with spaghetti sauce right now! Hate how restrictive my appointments are with my DH not being able to go :(

Questions: Any STMs feeling like they are showing sooner than with first baby? I feel huge already!

GTKY:  Are you planning on taking a baby-moon? If so, where are you going or where do you want to go? Not with the virus and all the nonsense
