I finally figured out how to create the group myself, so the August 2020 PG is now live! If you have been active here and are interested in participating, please go ahead and join the group. If you don't get added right away, it's likely because I have to accept everyone. Once we are there, we can pick a few other moderators.
Please note: if you have not introduced yourself and participated here, you will not be added to the group until we learn a little more about you. There is no official minimum level of participation, but we want everyone to know enough about each other to feel comfortable sharing.
ETA: Comment here if you want to be added to the group. It will be quicker/easier than hitting refresh on the group every so often to see who has requested and keep this thread at the top for the next day or two. And don't be shy about starting or participating in a thread once you are in!

@coldlife2 that is so freaking typical of TB. Let's see if anyone else can figure it out, and if not I will see if there is a workaround tomorrow.

I had the same issue. What you have to do is use a laptop, or if on your phone access the bump on your browser then switch it to “desktop mode”. That was the only way I could access the private groups! After that you can access it on your app!

It looks like you have to be on a desktop or put your phone in desktop mode to accept. See above SS from @charhar0820 on how to do that.
@wildrainbow it looks like you haven't accepted the invite yet. You should have access instantly once you accept. I think you need to go into desktop mode, find the invite in your inbox and accept from there.
