  • What physical workouts are you doing?
    I’ve been able to get back to running a bit! I’m praying I’m turning the nausea corner so I can get back to upping mileage. 🥳

    What are you doing for your mental health?
    Taking some me time every day! Thankfully, DH is working from home and encourages me to take a rest everyday while he wrangles the little ones.

    What mindfulness practices are you doing?
    Praying and Bible reading helps keep me calm, relaxed and focused. 💜

    Question: I have always been small chested...except during pregnancy. I am in need of a more supportive sports bra for running. Any recommendations?

  • What physical workouts are you doing? At least one walk every day, but sometimes two or three. I can go like maximum two miles before my hips start aching, so I haven’t been doing long ones. I did a couple streaming barre workouts, which felt so great. I would go about three times a week to barre before everything shut down and then I stopped working out when I got pregnant because of spotting. 

    What are you doing for your mental health? Walks are helpful, getting time alone each day is important too. 

    What mindfulness practices are you doing? Nothing really. 

    Do you have any questions for the board? Anyone else getting super winded already? I think it’s the blood volume increase, but I don’t remember being this winded so early in my pregnancy last time. 
  • @surlyjaneausten yes on the winded early! I have had to slow my pace down almost 2 minutes slower per mile. That was actually one of the first things that made me test in the first place, because my running was feeling awful!

    What physical workouts are you doing?  I am doing 21 Day Fix Real Time currently...still not super convinced I hurt myself during 10 Rounds, but the reduction in twisting my core has definitely helped.

    What are you doing for your mental health?  I have been trying to wake up earlier than DD and MH to get my workouts in because the alone time is great.  I have also REALLY focused this week on DD's sleeping and it has been such a tremendous improvement I could cry.  Monday night I was convinced I "broke" my child and literally just cried as I was rocking her to sleep.

    What mindfulness practices are you doing?  I always try to read PD books, but I haven't been able to do much with the bedtime struggles.  But I am hoping to pick up listening to some Podcasts soon.

    Do you have any questions for the board?  No at this time, but @surlyjaneausten OMG yes to the windedness.  I have to modify exercises now that I never needed to before, but I am just happy to still be moving.  I think I have mentioned before I was such a couch potato in my last pregnancy and it was bad, so this time I am determined to make it better LOL.

Thought I’d post to motivate myself to try to get off the sofa (I threw my back out). I so want to get moving What are you doing for your mental health? This is a good reminder I should be more conscious of this. What mindfulness practices are you doing?I think I’ve been in survival mode working from home with kids. Do you have any questions for the board? How are surviving the isolation?! I need a playground for these people! This post is a good reminder to me to live my life and not let life dictate. I’m going to try to make changes by the next fit Friday post.

  • What physical workouts are you doing? Walking 2-3 times a day + strenght training 3 times a week + 1 prenatal yoga class a week (live on Zoom). On good weeks, I'll squeeze in a pilates session and/or a barre class (online).

    What are you doing for your mental health? A bit of color drawing, spending time outside in the daylight, meditation, positive affirmations...

    What mindfulness practices are you doing? I start most days with a 10 minute meditation using the app Headspace 

    Do you have any questions for the board? I'm also interested in podcasts!
  • What physical workouts are you doing? MommaStrong everyday! I'm on the longest exercise streak of my life (almost 60 days) and am so proud! 

    What are you doing for your mental health? Eh, not much. MH has been taking DS more, which is a very welcome respite.

    What mindfulness practices are you doing? Nothing atm, but it would be nice to get back to something like that.

    Do you have any questions for the board? Good job playing with the format here @mimser it's nice to have a change-up on the questions.

  • @name1109 and @mimser I was thinking of starting with the new Podcast Autumn Calabrese is doing. But I don’t think there will be many episodes. So let me do some research and I’ll get back to you lol!
