Re: All Trimester Check In April 20th

    • How far along/EDD? 24+2/Aug 4
    • How are you feeling this week? Good. Been exercising more so I feel better overall. And reached viability!
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? At the same time I’m getting really bored of staying home all day, I also don’t want to go back to work. I’m secretly hoping that the state extends the stay at home order long enough that I don’t need to go back to work before my maternity leave begins.
    • Any upcoming appointments? My OB appt this Wed.
    • GTKY: What's the best and worst movie you've seen in the past 10 years? Oh. I have to think about this one. I don’t watch movies much and the few I’ve seen I wasn’t impressed.  The last decade I’ve mostly watched tv shows.
    Me: 41  DH: 46
Unexplained infertility/AMA, polycystic ovaries, insulin resistance
    FET#1(July 2017): eSET of first of 4 PGS-normal embryos, DS born 3/30/2018
    FET#2(Oct/Nov 2019): eSET

    • How are you feeling this week? I was fine until this morning (see Rant). Physically I'm doing OK. I'm making myself get back into exercise, so that's been interesting. My plan is to workout 2-3 days a week and to walk 2-3 days a week. Today is day 3.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? Rant - So tomorrow is my AS and when I booked the appointment 2 weeks ago I was told my SO could come. He can't come to the doctor's appointments but he can come to the ultrasound. The office called me today to tell me he cannot come in for the AS. I was extremely upset. I'm slowly calming down, but I'm still not happy about it. It's such a big appointment, I would really like him to be there. We are now trying to see if they'll at least allow us to FaceTime it.
    • Any upcoming appointments? Tormorrow's Anatomy Scan.
    • GTKY: What's the best and worst movie you've seen in the past 10 years? This one is hard for me too. I would say the best one would be either Inside Out or Parasite. The worst = Hereditary.

@cashewchicken - Yay on reaching viability!! I'm also hoping the same on the stay home order, but I don't see TX lasting that long. You can state movies of all times. I know it seems like movies have gone down hill in the last ten years or so.

  • @cashewchicken – Congrats on reaching viability!

@31magnolia – I hear you! Both my OB and high risk Dr have the same policy now.  I hope they let you at least facetime.

    •  How far along/EDD? 25w+6d / Jul 29th
    • How are you feeling this week? Much better since I started Nexium during the weekend, literally none to very little heartburn, which was my one complaint.  I will stop in a couple of days and I am praying the effect continues at least for a while.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? I know it is still early but from how things seem now with the virus, I think the plan of having my mom flying to stay with us for a month or so is out of the question.  She is 72 so I really don’t want to risk her.  Now, I just need to find a way to deliver the news to her…she is very determined to come.
    • Any upcoming appointments? May 7th with high risk Dr.  My next regular OB was supposed to be on and May 15th but they called and said that I have to have the glucose test by 28w so they moved it one week earlier to May 8th….and he said I will be now coming back every 3 weeks.
    • GTKY: What's the best and worst movie you've seen in the past 10 years? Best that I remember is the last one that I liked: The Two Popes.  For the worst I don’t even remember, as I tend to fall asleep

    • How far along/EDD? 10w5d. Nov 12ish
    • How are you feeling this week? Symptom wise pretty okay. Nausea has faded and some energy is coming back. Which also makes me a little worried since symptoms were sort of comforting, you know? Boobs hurt. Still exhausted but more from our toddler not wanting to go to sleep and DH being back at work this week so I’m trying to work from home and entertain an almost two year old.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? Any second time moms....when did you start showing/popping with #2? With my dd I feel like I stayed small really far along and I feel like I already have a bump so early!
    • Any upcoming appointments? Not till next Friday!! I thought it was this Friday and ugh was so disappointed when I realized it’s still a week and a half away!
    • GTKY: What's the best and worst movie you've seen in the past 10 years? Oh man, I can’t even remember the last movie I saw! I’ll have to think on this one.
    @cashewchicken yay for Viability!

@31magnolia oh no! I would be upset too! Hopefully they will let you FaceTime. I’m hoping for the same thing at my first OB appt. we haven’t heard the heartbeat yet (just saw it at the REs) and I Want DH to be able to experience that
    • How far along/EDD? - 6/21 31+2
    • How are you feeling this week? - I'm ok, braxton hicks are happening more often and sometimes make me feel so nauseous. Otherwise just super tired.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? - I got my glucose results back today and I passed, yay! But apparently my iron is low so I'll have to start supplementing that. Also, my DS turns 6 on Thursday! I can't believe it. I took the day off so me and him can celebrate as best we can for a quarantine birthday.
    • Any upcoming appointments? Next up is a growth scan at 34 weeks, 5/14.
    • GTKY: What's the best and worst movie you've seen in the past 10 years? I don't get out much for movies, but best would probably be Infinity War. Worst I don't even know. I rarely go to the movies these days.

    @cashewchicken Congrats on viability!

@31magnolia I'm so sorry, I hope they let you facetime!

  • Haha! Ok. Maybe my questions should have been TV shows. It seems no one watches movies anymore.
The doctor's office did say I could FaceTime, so I'll be doing that. Still disappointed but at least we can do that. I have a habit of getting so nervous during these things that I kind of zone in and out, so having my SO physically there is always comforting. But it is what it is.

@hanshotfirst77 - Aww for your son's birthday. What did you all do to celebrate? How is handling the stay at home orders? Also, is it normal to have a growth scan? I was worried that this anatomy scan would be all I would get!

@mtpbadger -  I was the same way with my symptoms. I has having them every day and then around week 10 or 11 they stopped and that scared the heck out of me. It's funny I complained when they were there and then got scared when they went away! This is my first pregnancy but I also showed very early. I was told it's because my abdominal wall was already week from a surgery I had a few years before. I read it's the same for 2nd pregnancies. You show earlier because your abdominal wall has already been stretched with the first pregnancy.

@angelina1919 - Glad to hear the Nexium is working. I used to take it way back when it was prescription only. That and prilosec. I've been doing ok the last few days but nice to know I have options if the heartburn returns. Hoepfully your mom takes the news OK. I know my mom probably wouldn't and would still try and show up. lol. Two popes is on my watch list. I love both actors.

  • @31magnolia Thank you, the plan for tomorrow is we are going to bake his cake together, he really loves baking/cooking. And his big gift was a swingset for the yard so hopefully it's nice and we can be outside and play. He's also chosen that for dinner we will all have McDonalds lol. I have a few little gifts for him to open too. He's handling it pretty well for a 5/6 yr old. He's pretty good at independent play being he's been an only child for so long. But I can tell he's getting bored and missing having other kids to play with. I don't believe growth scans are standard. But my OB wanted to do one for me. Initially I think it was just since she knows my loss/IF history and that I'd like to see her again but last few checkups my fundal height has been 2 weeks ahead so I think it's also to check and see how big she is. But I know these measurements can be so unreliable and I heard you can measure ahead with 2nd babies since you show more and quicker. I would really be shocked if she was a big baby. I'm small, so is my son, and so is the sperm donor. So I guess we'll see.

  • @hanshotfirst77 - Sorry. I thought you were saying it was last week. I misread. That is so adorable! I especially love the fact that he chose McDonald's for everyone to have for dinner and that he's helping with the cake!  I can't wait to have those experiences. My parents did that for us. Heck, my mom was still baking me a cake until I left for college! lol.

    • How far along/EDD? 5 weeks today
    • How are you feeling this week? Mostly doing really well. I would say I have that early-pregnancy anxiety most of us have. Don't think I have any physical symptoms yet.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? My first beta was 71, and my second (last Friday) was up to 199! I was really relieved. But no more betas so I feel weird to be on my own hoping for the best.
    • Any upcoming appointments? I have my very first scan at 7 weeks on May 7! Not counting down the days or anything....
    • GTKY: What's the best and worst movie you've seen in the past 10 years? Hmm..let's narrow it down to best picture winners. Moonlight would probably be my fav of the prior 10 years and Birdman was my least.
    ***TW***
    DH & I both 34.
    8/16: IVF, antagonist protocol
    21 eggs | 9 blasts | 7 normal through PGS

@omarismyhomeboy - I should have listed Birdman. I couldn't make past the first 15 minutes. Still haven't seen Moonlight.
Yay on the more than double second beta! I'm surprised they won't do one more beta.  My office only did two, but my initial one was really high to begin with and even after the second one I was going stir crazy waiting for the US. I know the waiting is going to suck, but I have my FX for you!

  • Hi Everyone!
    • How far along/EDD? 5 weeks +? First beta was last Tuesday at 240, second one Thursday-540, today's over 2600.
    • How are you feeling this week? So I'm really needing to break my meals up to smaller and more often otherwise I vomit.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? I'm still processing ending up pregnant naturally after having IVF + two successful FETs **TW one gave us our twins, the second one resulted in a mmc at 9 weeks.
    • Any upcoming appointments? First ultrasound next Thursday, April 30
    • GTKY: What's the best and worst movie you've seen in the past 10 years Best movie might be the first Avengers one, worst movie is more difficult. I will say that I tried to get through Aquaman three different times. I'm not much of a movie buff.

  • Hi @stella_700 and congratulations!! I somewhat remember reading your journey on the infertility page. Seems like natural pregnancy in between waiting has been happening a lot lately!

  • @stella_700 yay yay yay! So happy to see you here!

Got a call from my OBs office today that he’s going to be out all next week and wanted to push my appt back a week. I was not happy to hear that but thankfully they were able to schedule me with another dr, who happens to be my old OB that I LOVED!! She moved into more of an admin role but still sees patients twice a week and it sounds like I’ll be able to continue seeing her throughout my pregnancy! She is an IVF veteran and gets all the emotions and everything so was fantastic for my first pregnancy and I Am so thrilled To see her again (and to not have to wait any longer to see what’s going on with this little bean!!)

Congrats @stella_700! It’s awesome to hear that so many ladies are getting pregnant naturally! Maybe all this COVID19 talk is getting more people fertile. lol
@mtpbadger I definitely started showing earlier than my first pregnancy. With my son, I was somehow able to hide my pregnancy even at 24 weeks. It was in winter and I wore thick, baggy outfit but still. Now? I’m 24+6 today and no way I can hide this bump under anything! I’ve started to notice a bump around 13 and became really noticeable around 20 weeks.
@31magnolia I’m glad you were able to FaceTime with your SO during AS.
@omarismyhomeboy My clinic only does 1 beta unless the first beta number is off. It’s weird but at the same time it’s nice not to fret over beta values.
