  • Estimated due date (EDD): 10/21

    Week of pregnancy: 13+5 today

Upcoming Appointments: 6/8 for anatomy scan

Rant/Rave: Rave: felt flutters a few days ago! I didn't believe it at first because it's so much earlier than last time, but I checked with my prior BMB and most of the STMs said they started to feel movement around 12-14 weeks the second time around! I will feel much better about skipping my 16 week appointment if I'm feeling movement.
2nd Rave: I haven't thrown up in almost a week! Nausea isn't totally gone but definitely improving.
Rant: meh. Quarantine isn't going well. I'm still just getting by. Ordered DD a mini trampoline that will be in Wednesday, so I'm hoping she gets some energy out with that.

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how?  If not, who would you most like to meet and why?
I'm not sure if this counts, but I went to college with Golden Tate (NFL WR). I worked at the on campus convenience store and he would often come through the check out line there. He was always very nice!

    Week of pregnancy: 14 weeks

    Upcoming Appointments: May 5

Rant/Rave: sort of a rant and a rave? Now that they have officially canceled face to face school the rest of the spring I’ve been trying to find ways to keep busy since for preschool we only have to send out a weekly link to plans. I cultivated our garden to get ready to plant on Saturday. And I noticed our front landscaping and hostas had been completely dug out by some creature over the winter which made me mad. And it just all needs remulched anyway, especially down the sides of the house. So that’s going to keep me busy since I’m going to re-landscape the entire thing. Im hoping it ends up looking like I want it to! I just need to find some pretty perennials to plant there.

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how?  If not, who would you most like to meet and why?
I got to shake Barack Obama’s hand when he came to Ames during his campaign run. I also had Billy Currington sign my tank top I was wearing when we snuck to the front of an autograph line after his free concert at the Iowa State Fair when I was like 15! And another celebrity in the education world I got to meet with my fellow teacher friends was Gerry Brooks (hilarious principal on social media) when he came to the next closest school district to ours during his tour! He was so funny and so inspiring to listen to.
  • Estimated due date (EDD): Oct. 18th

    Week of pregnancy: 14+1 today

Upcoming Appointments: April 29th (routine OB)

Rant/Rave: Rant - Although I am extreme introvert and am enjoying this time at home, I ready for quarantine to be over. I hate having to order my groceries online and accept the many, many substitutes for items, and dealing with them being out of stock because of people hoarding toilet paper, paper towels, disinfectants, etc. I like to clean while I'm home, so I'm quickly running out of stuff to do my normal cleaning, and it really irks me that selfish people have over-bought these items. I really hope grocery stores and big box stores continue to refuse returns of these items to teach those a-holes a lesson.
Rave - I have taken to going on walks around my neighborhood in the afternoons, and it's really helping my mood. I think one of the blessings in all of this is getting to see my neighbors spending time with their families and taking care of their homes, BBQing in the backyard or mowing their grass. It all feels very Pleasantville right now, lol.

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how?  If not, who would you most like to meet and why?
I've met a few, actually. I met Chuck Zito (from Oz and Sons of Anarchy) and Dan "Rudy" Ruettiger when I was in Las Vegas for a conference. Both are very nice men, totally kind and willing to chat. Rudy was the motivational speaker at the conference, and he and I chatted for about 15 minutes at the end of the first day. And I actually spent about 45 minutes with Chuck at the airport, talking about upcoming projects and travel and stuff. He smells really good, lol. Oh, and I met CT from The Real World Paris at a modeling/casting call in Seattle (he was a douche).

    Week of pregnancy: 14

    Upcoming Appointments: telemed at 16wk

Rant/Rave: my scrub tops are already getting too short with my little 3rd kid bump, but no stores that sell maternity ones are open for me to buy more.

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how?  If not, who would you most like to meet and why? I’ve met quite a few pro athletes by taking care of their kids.
  • Estimated due date (EDD): 10/19

    Week of pregnancy: 14 today!

Upcoming Appointments: May 8 for blood work and check-in

Rant/Rave: Rant: I'm hating it when my husband tries to be sexy with me. We haven't done anything since February, and I only feel more like throwing up at any given moment. I wish he would trust me to let him know when that changes.

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how?  If not, who would you most like to meet and why?
Nope. Elizabeth Warren comes to mind.
  • Estimated due date (EDD): 10/16

    Week of pregnancy: 14+3

    Upcoming Appointments: end of may

Rant/Rave: I hate allergies. So much. My spring allergies are so severe I’ve dealt with ear infections last week and hives this week. Luckily I was able to do a tele visit on Friday and score the prescriptions I need to feel somewhat normal. Still itchy as heck but it should get better.

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how?  If not, who would you most like to meet and why?
ive met Taylor Swift years ago. I remember she was sooooooo skinny. I’ve also met Blake shelton at a meet and greet post concert.

Week of pregnancy: 14 weeks 3 days

    Upcoming Appointments:  Thursday

Rant/Rave:  I have started to feel baby moving around.  I'm surprised to be feeling movement this early considering it took 20+ weeks for me to feel movement with my first pregnancy.  It feels like a flutter, and it took me a second to realize what it was.

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how?  If not, who would you most like to meet and why?  I've met Jerry Springer.  We used to live in the same neighborhood.

@carrotsandpeas3  Yay for feeling baby move and for your nausea improving!  I thought that I was going crazy when I recently started feeling baby move.

    Week of pregnancy: 14

Upcoming Appointments: June 5th with anatomy scan (still feels too far away

Rant/Rave:  I’m just feeling kind of blah lately. I’m so happy to be healthy (including family & friends) and in a financially secure place during this crazy time. I just miss my old daily life - as I’m sure we all do!

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how?  If not, who would you most like to meet and why?
No one really comes to mind, so I’ll say no I haven’t.  I don’t really have a certain celebrity I LOVE, but I have always enjoyed and been intrigued by Reese Witherspoon, so I’ll say her!
  • @carrotsandpeas3 I was shocked that I think I felt mine a few days ago as well. I was sitting down and bent over to put my shoes on and felt it when my stomach was really smashed which is when I always felt lots of movement with the others. With DD I was FTM and didn’t feel anything until 20ish weeks and with DS I had an anterior placenta so I didn’t feel him until about 17ish weeks. So threw me off to feel something this early.

@babyodo I feel ya on the grocery pick up. I’m so picky with my produce and they never have a million of the things I put in the cart. I’ve complete given up on meal planning and just play chopped every night.

@knottie Last pregnancy was the only one that DH got lucky during. I completely cringe at being touched right now in any form even by my children. He’s been on a real dry spell for a bit now. 😕🤷🏼‍♀️

    EDD: 10/20

    Week:14

Appointments: don’t remember- third time mom probz??? If it’s not an US I guess I’m just meh. Plus it’s going to be tele med anyways.

Rant: working from home With two kids sucks! And my neck/back hurt like hell from hours in front of a computer all day. My sciatic is killing me. Quarantine and a week of crappy weather have me down in a little depressed funk too.

GTKY: maybe this is my UO- I truly have no desire to meet anyone famous and have never really followed one. Not a fan girl at all.

    Rant/Rave:
    Income loss/pay cuts suck.

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how?  If not, who would you most like to meet and why?
I never met a celebrity, if I could I'd meet Taylor Swift because I think she's incredible, even when I'm the only one in the room who ever feels that way 😂

  • @kalesix3 You are not alone in being a Taylor Swift fan!

    Rant/Rave: Rant: Quarantine stinks...
Rave: Glad to have a job that I’m able to work from home so baby can stay protected.
Rave #2: I have maybe felt slightly nauseous a handful of times! I feel lucky.

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how?  If not, who would you most like to meet and why?

I have not, not personally anyway. I have recently started watching videos by Tabitha Brown, a vegan social media influencer. Now I am NOT vegan nor have I ever been or wanted to be, but her personality and uplifting messages have been so needed during all of this quarantine business and just life in general. I would love to meet and chat with her!
  • EDD: 10/15

    Week: 15+1

Upcoming appointments: May 20 Fetal Echo, Mid-way Ultrasound and in-person appt.

Rant: Acid Reflux!!! I'm constantly gagging and having to watch how I sit and how I eat. It drains me of all energy and makes me feel like I'm not producing enough at work. On the plus side, it keeps me away from the fridge.

Rave: We have our health, our incomes, no other kids during the day as I know this is a hard time for parents. I've also felt fluttering! It's crazy how it feels like flapping! I also bought the items to do our announcement and some maternity leggings this week! And my Aunt no longer has stage 4 lung cancer.

GTKY: I met Russell Wilson at a work conference and got a signed football! I've also met Kenny Chesney and Lars Frederickson.
