2 miscarriages in a row

I have had two miscarriages in a row and was wondering should I go see a fertility specialist about this. Has anyone had the same experience. I have one daughter and don’t have A problem getting pregnant I just have a problem with the first one I lost around six weeks and the second one I lost it at four weeks.

    debbiem86  With a LC and 2 early MCs, I'm uncertain if you would qualify for RPL testing.  I know that you can qualify for RPL testing if you have 2 MCs (IF your doctors follow the newer 'rules' because before it used to be 3 MC to qualify), particularly if you are AMA and/or have no living children.  Honestly, the chances are very high that with a living child and only 2 early MC, you will have success on the next PG.  I mean, there is no guarantee of anything, but I've seen more people have 2 early MCs and have their next PG be successful, whereas only a tiny percent of people have the 2 MC and end up with a 3rd loss.

    I’m so sorry for your losses. I also just had two in a row. It’s heartbreaking. 

    I was able to get the testing done but it was only because I also had a miscarriage 13 years ago. So I qualified for the 3. I think it’s so dumb you have to have 3 babies die before someone is willing to help you. 😭

    My midwife said that if we were going to try again right away before the tests came back that I should start taking baby aspirin 4 days after ovulation and also vaginal progesterone. These are the main treatments they use with reoccurring miscarriage. So maybe you can talk to your doctor about being proactive with treatment even if they won’t test you to confirm?

    I am sorry for your loss.

    I am going through the same thing now. I have 2 children that are teenagers. I am 36yo and my husband and I have been trying for 5 months. I had a miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks on Feb 6th and this month I had a bfp on 4/10, numerous negative tests after and af started yesterday.

    Hello all. I had an early miscarriage in 2014. I got pregnant with my son the next cycle and had no issues. Got pregnant right away in 2017 with my second son. We started trying for baby number 3 in June and had another early miscarriage at 4+3. I'm pregnant again and I am 5+4 today and started to have dull cramps and brown/pinkish spotting over the last 24 hours. I really fear like I'm heading down the road to miscarriage again. I really hate this feeling of no control and uncertainty.

    I also experience 2 miscarriages row in last than 6 months. I have no clue what to do next, I am just confused. My first miscarriage happen in July 2020. It was a missed miscarriage. I didn't know I miscarried until I went to my first prenatal appointment. I was 9.4 weeks and the baby only grew to 8 weeks and no heart. I had a D&C to remove it. After my the D&C, the doctor suggested for us to wait until after my second period to try again. We did wait after my second period to try and I got pregnant right away. The Saturday before Thanksgiving I started to experience bleeding and I was 8 weeks pregnant. I want to the emergency room, where they did an ultrasound and measure the baby to be 6 weeks and 1 day. I was so confused cause at that time I should have been 8 weeks.  I  had a schedule first prenatal the day before Thanksgiving, where the doctor did an ultrasound and found that the baby got smaller. So I said to the doctor " so I am in the process of a miscarriage" he said "yes". I ended up having a natural miscarriage and it passed through in the early morning of Black Friday. I just want to know if anyone had this experience and had a healthy pregnancy?  Just to note I do not have any live children.

    @jtayl962 I'm sorry for your losses.  With two MCs and no living children, you should be able to qualify for RPL testing.  Talk to your OB and find a Reproductive Endocrinologist to get the testing done through them.  They may be able to find out if there's a problem that can be solved to help you have a living baby.  However, please be warned that approximately 50% of us who experience RPL never get a diagnosis as to why we keep losing our babies. Despite the fact that I'm in that category, I still appreciate the testing that I got, knowing that I wasn't just losing babies for something that could have been done/prevented to help me having living children.
