    Week of pregnancy: 12+5 today

Upcoming Appointments: had one today. Just regular OB but got to hear the heartbeat so that's great. 😊

Rant/Rave: Rant: my OB group is no longer doing deliveries at my preferred hospital. I'm more tied to the hospital than the OB, but changing right now with all the COVID nonsense seems like too much work. I'm either going to swap OBs once this all comes down or just let an OB hospitalist at the other hospital manage my delivery. Just a pain.
Rave: we got a takeout Easter dinner from a local restaurant and it was so much food and so so good. So many delicious leftovers!

GTKY: What's the last show you binged?  Why should we watch it?
Currently binging The Mindy Project. I watched it when it first came out but hadn't since like the second season. I'm enjoying it and it's an easy, light-hearted show. Just what I need.

Also currently rewatching Brooklyn 99 for the 3rd-ish time with DH. So so good and always makes me laugh.
  • @mamahosch I love a good bargain! I'm getting another crib from my sister so I don't have to move DD over to a real bed any sooner than she's ready, so that was a huge relief to me. I was being too cheap to be willing to buy a second crib!
  • EDD: 10/15

    Week of pregnancy: 13 weeks

Upcoming appointments: Actually skipping my 16 week checkup and doing my 20 week check up with ultrasound and fetal echo on May 20th, 19 weeks.

Rant/Rave: I feel like a big ole whiner. I seem to have GERD or Dyspepsia and I thought I'd be out of feeling sick by now but this is not relenting. I've started to find ways to work around but some days are harder than others. I was glad today's puking episode didn't result in a headache since it was first thing.

Therefore this week's GTKY is about all I've done besides work which is binging New Girl! I've already seen it, buts so light and carefree, it's been a nice to have in the evenings! And I'm pretty excited to add an order of Nightfood Ice Cream to that!
  • Also I'm impressed with all you ladies shopping and getting deals already! This is my first so my husband and I have barely started a registry and are trying to get home renovations done so our current guest room/office/storage room aka the Room of Requirement can become a nursery.
  • Estimated due date (EDD): 10/16

    Week of pregnancy: 13+3

    Upcoming Appointments: may

Rant/Rave: I got the heart Doppler from my friend when I picked up our confetti eggs. I was able to find the heartbeat pretty quickly so that helped me feel a lot better about going 8 weeks without an appt.
rant: I have severe allergies and since I can’t take all the regular allergy medication I normally do to survive I know have an ear infection. It’s absolutely miserable but hoping I have some relief by tomorrow so I can catch up on some sleep. (Rave: I was able to try out the telemedicine option our insurance offered us and it was fantastic. They were quick and zero hassle getting my prescription at the right location.)

GTKY: What's the last show you binged?  Why should we watch it?

Currently going through law and order svu when DD isn’t around and frailer when she is. They’re some of my favorite shows that I’ve watched a few times so I don’t feel the need to pay 100% attention to them.
  • Estimated due date (EDD): 10/19

    Week of pregnancy: 13

Upcoming Appointments: not til 16 weeks

Rant/Rave: Morning sickness seems to have finally chilled out!

GTKY: What's the last show you binged?  Why should we watch it? All American on Netflix. It’s your typical HS drama but I enjoyed it haha.
  • @mamahosch I watched the Circle and loved it but DH made fun of me for watching it. I think it’s so interesting though.

    Estimated due date (EDD):10/20

    Week of pregnancy: 13 tomorrow

    Upcoming Appointments: May something

Rant/Rave: tired tired tired! Teaching from home with littles of my own is exhausting....oh and growing a baby to boot.

GTKY: What's the last show you binged?  Why should we watch it?
Watching a couple of episodes of The Good Dr. some nights at bedtime with DH. It always takes me forever to get through a series these days. I never have time to actually binge.
  • Estimated due date (EDD):
    10/18

    Week of pregnancy:
    13🙌

    Upcoming Appointments:
Just a normal appointment in two weeks

    Rant/Rave:
Rant is that carseats are awful. I can't figure out specific differences, everything is confusing, I don't know what to get 😭
Rave is I caught a sale at H&M and had a coupon code and got a bunch of the cutest neutral baby clothes for a good price, so that's a start on the baby stash.

GTKY: What's the last show you binged?  Why should we watch it?
Honestly I think the only thing I've actually binged recently has been The Witcher, I've watched it three times since, I think it's incredible.

@babycakesday yay on getting a doppler, I'm so glad you found the fht right away!
  • @mamahosch nice score! We're still undecided on which travel system we want to go with. We have two saved to our registry, one is much more expensive than the other but has higher safety ratings. We might just bite the bullet and use our stimulus money for that.

@babycakesday I got a fetal doppler on eBay last week and couldn't find the heartbeat, but that could be because it was either too early, I was sitting up, or I had just gone to the bathroom (probably a combination of the three), so I'll try again with a full bladder and lying down.

Estimated due date (EDD): Oct. 18th

    Week of pregnancy: 13+2 today

Upcoming Appointments: April 29th (routine OB)

Rant/Rave: Rave - We got our NIPT results back! Everything looks normal, no down syndrome or trisomy 18/13, and we found out we're having a GIRL!! I'm so excited, and MH is terrified, lol. There are no girls (other than his mother) on his side of his family, so he has no experience in that area. Rant - We're expected to work from home, but the systems they provide us with are so crappy!!  :s I hate it. I have so many emails I need to get out, and the system is so bogged down that I'm lucky I can even login some days, let alone get anything out. And to make matters worse, my supervisor is super into micro-managing (which is one of my pet peeves, it makes me feel like he doesn't trust me to do my job even though I've been doing it for 16 years) so every time I get a text from him, my hackles immediately go up and it puts me in a bad mood.

GTKY: What's the last show you binged?  Why should we watch it? We've been bingeing Schitt's Creek, and OMG it's hilarious. I actually woke MH up from a nap yesterday when I was laughing at a scene that caught me off-guard. I think in times like these, even though I'm an introvert an am enjoying the quarantine life, I still need something funny to distract me from how sad the outside world is.
    Me: 37 / DH: 41
Due with baby #2: Feb 2022

  • The Chicco Keyfit travel system is what I recommend to everyone! We used it with DD1 born in 2014 and DD2 in 2016. We will have to get a new one now because the car seat is expired but it’s the best. The car seat fits into the stroller so you can just pop it in and out. The base installs in the car in like 30 seconds and as a pediatric nurse I see this system constantly being used.
  • @babyodo I’m obese and kinda looked it up on YouTube for best ways to find it. I put pillows under my low back to kinda elevate my belly and did some cat cow stretches before. With DD, my OB always had trouble finding the heartbeat until I was 25 weeks. So I think some babies just hang out closer to the front and others like to hide. I was expecting to spend like 20 minutes looking for it so it surprised me when I found it in a few minutes. I was even more surprised when my OB found it right away two weeks ago.

@JLaVO888 DH makes fun of me for watching shows like The Circle. I just can’t help it. I get sucked in and can’t stop from watching.

    Estimated due date (EDD): 10/16

Week of pregnancy: 13 weeks 4 days

    Upcoming Appointments: next week

Rant/Rave:  There was a small change to my vacation weeks this year, so I am off this week.  I have decided to potty train DS during this time off.  It is going much better than I expected.  He is figuring it out much faster than I thought he would.  I am just really proud of him right now!

GTKY: What's the last show you binged?  Why should we watch it? I rarely binge watch anything. The last show that I binged was "The Handmaid's Tale."  I read the book when I was in college, so I was already familiar with the story prior to watching the show.  It is about a dystopian society, so parts of it can be difficult to watch.

    Week of pregnancy: 13

Upcoming Appointments: Thursday! Normal checkup and getting some blood test results. Once I get reassurance from the doppler that everything's ok, I'm going public with the news.

Rant/Rave: Whine: I'm so tired of being useless and feeling sick all the time. I can't get my energy and appetite back soon enough.
Rave: Hubby has been amazing doing everything to take care of me and the house and working. Also, creating a registry is really fun and actually makes the whole thing feel more real :)

GTKY: What's the last show you binged?  Why should we watch it? Currently watching Jessica Jones, which is an intriguing storyline if you're into that kind of thing. David Tennant plays such a good bad guy that my 10th Doctor paraphernalia around the house is creeping me out.
Also always binging Bob's Burgers because it's my favorite thing!
  • Ugh! My username shows up in my profile but apparently still not working here. I'm mistygish.
  • @knottie/mistygish welcome! Sometimes you have to log out and back in to have it take effect. Other times I've heard it can take a few days.
  • @mistygish Hi! Welcome. I think mine updated once I logged out and back in.

@AB518 Yay for potty win! At least you’ll get a break from diapers for a bit.
