Re: Healthy Habits Check-In w/o 4.13

  • What habits, goals, or resolutions do you have for yourself this year? Or which goal(s) are you focusing on this week?
    Overall goal - lose 5lbs a month
This week’s goal - work out everyday and stick to my meal plan

    How's everything going?
Overall - not well. Not at all.
This week - definitely seems achievable! I can do this!

What has you motivated or struggling this week?
Just low motivation levels, really. Going to go on our walk in a little bit I think. I can’t be asked to go but it usually lifts my spirits so fingers crossed

What questions/help do you have/need to help you achieve your habits, goals, and resolutions?
Hmm, no questions. Just like the accountability of having this thread

What's a "small win" you have from last week?
I worked out and/or went on a walk everyday this past week! Proud of myself!

@jackie_dunny Hey girl!  I'm so excited to see you over here from BOTB!!  You've been waiting such a long time.  I wish you the best of luck, even though I see you're NTNP.  How exciting for you!   <3

  • @jackie_dunny nice job getting some form of exercise every day last week!

What habits, goals, or resolutions do you have for yourself this year? Or which goal(s) are you focusing on this week? GF and DF diet, yoga 2-3x a week

How's everything going? Not bad, not bad

What has you motivated or struggling this week? I've found some good videos that aren't very strenuous so I can at least get in the habit before really working on getting stronger through yoga

What questions/help do you have/need to help you achieve your habits, goals, and resolutions? None this week!

What's a "small win" you have from last week? I got my yoga sessions in last week! And I'm already off to a good start this week by doing a session yesterday  :)  Yesterday was a flow yoga which was a little difficult, and certainly more of a challenge, but it was about 20 minutes and I got through it okay

  • What habits, goals, or resolutions do you have for yourself this year? Or which goal(s) are you focusing on this week?
Well I had two goals this year.  One was to cook more and one was to eat food out of my pantry/freezer etc

    How's everything going?
Well I am cooking a lot more and we eat out maybe once a week now (as opposed to most meals over the weekend).  Since we have been trying not to go to the store, my freezer and pantry are pretty full.  But it will go quick once we get started on it.

What has you motivated or struggling this week?
Well my mom is being sweet and keeps sending us food.  Our freezer is jammed back and some beef will be delivered on Wednesday.  It is from a farm local to our old house and so good.  Just not sure where I will put.  Sweets are also overloaded over here.  I am practically forcing DH and I to eat some daily.

What questions/help do you have/need to help you achieve your habits, goals, and resolutions?

What's a "small win" you have from last week?
Sorta related, but I did an awesome job of keeping up with the dishes last week.  With all the cooking, that can be difficult.  I also meal planned this week (but didn't account for the beef delivery...so we will see).  I am also adapting on the fly with ingredients.
  • @jackie_dunny Great job on the working out last week! Keep going, you can do it this week! You are sooo close to making it a habit. :)

@inthewoods23 Congrats on your successful yoga week! It sounds like you’re definitely on the right track this week too.  Look at all of us, being all successful and stuff.😊

@dobiemom11 Nice job on the cooking AND the dishes! That’s definitely an accomplishment. We are also cooking at home so much more than before. We used to waste so much money on eating out!

What habits, goals, or resolutions do you have for yourself this year? Or which goal(s) are you focusing on this week? The goal started out to move my body 5 times a week. But I’ve moved every single day for 3 weeks, so why stop now? LOL.

How's everything going? It’s been going great! But it’s crunch time with this project I’ve been working on, so I’m going to have to make a real concerted effort to peel myself away from the computer for some exercise everyday.

What has you motivated or struggling this week? Just sleep deprived from the project, don’t feel like doing much intense physical activity. Will keep it easy with walking.

What questions/help do you have/need to help you achieve your habits, goals, and resolutions? None this week! Unless anyone has a delicious oat milk they can recommend? The best I’ve found is Oatly.

What's a "small win" you have from last week? Another big win with moving everyday, but also starting to really run hard & it feels normal & amazing. So that’s motivating.
  • @keikilove I've had both the Silk oat milk and Planet Oat oat milk. Both taste fine to me although the Silk version was vanilla flavored so I know that's completely different in flavor from the regular one. DH says it smells like lucky charms lol.

  • @inthewoods23 building up on your yoga sounds like a really good plan! That’s basically what I’m doing with my workouts - just get into the habit and then you can put more work in!

@dobiemom11 great job cooking at home and doing the dishes! We have a mini dishwasher which is a lifesaver because we both HATE doing the dishes

@keikilove great job moving everyday! You’re actually so inspiring!
