  • @beaandthebabes I am so cranky sometimes and it’s normally because I’m hungry lol or annoyed with something stupid like my husband picking hair off the dog.

@chasingroygbiv a Boy! Yay!! Do you have a name picked out too?

@mflowers929 do you use a pillow at night? I have two one between my legs and then just a regular pillow I put behind my back. I still wake and readjust many times
  • Thank you all!

@ktholysz No name yet! DH usually gets the honors of choosing first names (he’s good at it so I trust him) and I pick middle names. He seems to be struggling this go around, we like uncommon, but not “weird” or hard to spell.

@jennifer_louise See and I’m really short so baby has no where to go but out! I think my body is so used to this stretching routine, too, that it’s just stretching right back out.  :D I look now like I did at 24-26 weeks with our first.

Baby is the size of a(n): mango

How are you feeling? Just anxious. With all that’s going on I’m nervous to go to the hospital for the big US and bummed to go alone, but happy to see her!

    Raves/Rants: none

    Questions: none

GTKY: What is a favorite pizza topping(s)? Just cheese, but when pregnant I like black olives too!

Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out, but team green to the public

Baby is the size of a(n): bowl of cereal apparently 😂

Upcoming appointments: My last Friday got cancelled, I found out, so two this Friday, one of which I hopefully get to find out baby's gender in!

How are you feeling? Pretty great actually! Still some pains here and there but I can manage! I no longer get stupid nauseous walking into the lunchroom at work and I can cook meat again too with no issue!

Raves/Rants: I really don't think the country should already start opening back up on the third. That is stupid. America is stupid.
On the bright side baby is moving and I can feel it sometimes!! Not enough to get concerned if I'm not feeling it "often" enough (lazy thing probably sleeps just as much as I do!) But enough that it makes me smile. It's a very surreal feeling!

    Questions:

GTKY: What is a favorite pizza topping(s)? Oof I'm the pickiest, so cheese only for me! Been hardcore craving Cici's dessert pizza with the Bavarian cream on it though, now that I'm thinking about it. Will probably get some after appointments on Friday 😂
  • EDD/weeks+days: 9/20 17 weeks

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): pomegranate

Upcoming appointments: 4/20 for regular appointment and then AS at 20 weeks; really looking forward to the AS because I haven't had any ultrasounds yet but I'll be bummed if my husband can't come :/

How are you feeling? mainly just headaches

    Raves/Rants: none

    Questions: none

GTKY: What is a favorite pizza topping(s)? I'm a just cheese person
  • @chasingroygbiv Hooray for boy!! Also, same on this being the biggest ever. I am shocked at how much I have gained in just the last 4 weeks. About a week and half ago they called our school for the year and it is just so heartbreaking especially for the kids that are transitioning like seniors or 8th graders. So many events that they will never get to have.

  • @chasingroygbiv Same! I’m 5’1” and this time around I am definitely ballooning up fast.

@jennifer_louise I love olives but that is 100% how I feel about onions. If an onion has been near it I’ll know.

@Louise_Belcher I need to upgrade my 2 year old to a big boy bed and I’d like to swap out my changing table for a dresser for more storage and it is so frustrating not to be able to go find furniture.

  • @Louise_Belcher congratulations on a girl! She’s lucky to have brothers to watch out for her!
  • @beaandthebabes onions just on pizza or in general?? I would never say I adore onions but they're in like all our recipes!

@raesky1111 so we don't have Cici's here or where I grew up and MH was shocked to hear I've never had it. But, I do love dessert pizza so I'm sure I'd be down to try if we did!
  • @jennifer_louise in ANYTHING. I can’t stand them. I can’t stand the texture or the smell.
  • @beaandthebabes @jennifer_louise give me all the onions.  My husband doesn’t care for them so I definitely don’t get them on pizza or in a lot of stuff.  My topping or thing I can’t stand is mushrooms.

  • EDD/weeks+days: 17w1d, 9/21

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green

Baby is the size of a(n): pomegranate

Upcoming appointments: 4/22, with my new perinatologist

How are you feeling? Blah...I have a few autoimmune issues already and some new markers came back positive for antiphospholipid syndrome (increased risk of blood clots)...just annoying getting older and my body giving out.
Going to see what my new perinatologist says but I'll likely end up seeing rheumatology.

Raves/Rants: The twins are growing toooo fast (17mo). My son is actually already climbing out of his crib and it's already as low as it'll go. I'm looking at sewing a piece of fabric between the legs of his PJs to help stop him from climbing but he has such incredible upper body strength. So not ready to transition him to a toddler bed.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is a favorite pizza topping(s)? cheese

Two Furbabies: Mika (american eskimo) and Gypsy (wire-haired terrier, dachshund mix)

Twins: Kaiden and Zara born 10/2018 conceived after 6 years of infertility via a medicated IUI

  • @beaandthebabes Same on the onion hate. It cannot be near my food let alone in it and if my husband eats them I can smell them on his skin hours and hours later even when I don’t have a pregnant bloodhound sense of smell. While pregnant he has had to sleep on the couch because of eating onions in a meal during lunch. Peppers are the same way but to a much lesser degree.

@linz36 My second was a crib jumper at about that age. It sucks. Hope the rough part of transition is quick.

@ktholysz @greyl Thanks!! She is gonna need to be a sturdy little thing to hang with her brothers.

@raesky1111 I am super picky too. It sucks. I am hoping to not pass that on to my kids. I hate being invited to people’s homes for dinner or pot luck gatherings because I dislike most things even dessert.

    Upcoming appointments: 3 weeks AS

    How are you feeling? great

Raves/Rants: Sad that I’m stuck at home not doing much during the part of pregnancy where I feel the most active

    Questions:

GTKY: What is a favorite pizza topping(s)? I like plain cheese. So maybe additional kind a of cheese haha
  • @Louise_Belcher I'm resisting the transition to a toddler bed. I sat them both down and spoke to them about their cribs and told them they have to stay in them until they are 3 (they probably had no idea what i was talking about but I put it out there so hopefully it'll happen lol). My plan was to have all 3 of them in the same room. And if they are in toddler beds I just can't trust them around the baby. We'll see what happens. Right now we only put him in the crib when he is asleep and we run to get him when we hear him wake up...that way he doesn't have time to get out. Luckily my daughter loves to sleep and hasn't shown any interest in climbing out...yet.

  • @linz36 my 2.5 yo son is still in the crib and he still wears a sleep sack it’s an XL lol. He did climb out of the pack n play he naps in a few times. I had him too close to a bed tho.
  • @linz36 Hahaha! I hope the stall talk works! :)  I totally understand the apprehension for the transition especially if baby is going to be in there too. Them having that level of freedom is rough! Hopefully your daughter doesn't pick it up from him. My DS1 never showed an interest in climbing out and even at 4.5 I think if I stuck him in a crib he wouldn't jump out. Both of mine ended up in twin beds at 20mo with DS2 in a toddler bed leading up to that and the transition was bumpy.

    Upcoming appointments: Friday (Telehealth)

How are you feeling? Mostly good which is making me anxious! It’s my first pregnancy so I feel almost too good, I feel like I should experiencing more symptoms but just trying to relax and embrace it.

Raves/Rants: Overall I am nervous and a bit frustrated with all things Covid has impacted but looking forward to the day where things are back to normal.

Questions: anyone else experience little symptoms during this stage of pregnancy?

GTKY: What is a favorite pizza topping(s)? Pepperoni!
  • @linz36 aw heck, I hadn’t thought about not trusting the toddler in the same room as the baby.  :# I just transitioned my 2 year old to a toddler bed with hopes of squish moving to the crib (after she’s 6 mo.) but now I’m wondering why I ever thought that was a good idea.

    @ktholysz !), 19 weeks, 2 days

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: pink!

Baby is the size of a(n): dollar bill

Upcoming appointments: 4/27 for a regular check up. Has my AS at 17 weeks

How are you feeling? Great! I am starting to get that “oh I’m winded bc I’m gaining weight” feeling but even that has been pretty mild.

Raves/Rants: I am the only woman on my team in an essential job that has barely changed since COVID started. Half the guys on my team think this COVID stuff is BS and they aren’t social distancing. These are the same guys who have lectured me about being careful/not overdoing it when it comes to physical labor because I’m pregnant. The lectures annoyed me bc it’s not my first kid and because of the hypocrisy of their statements. I don’t think anyone will revisit the topic with me but it’s still left me annoyed.

    Questions: None

GTKY: What is a favorite pizza topping(s)?
Pineapple, onion and chicken on a Papa John’s pizza with extra sauce!
  • @corngirl due date buddy lol with my oldest I didn’t do much with the bump boards so this round I’m excited to see how birth dates fall related to due dates! Congratulations on a girl!
  • @ktholysz congrats on your little boy coming! My daughter showed up on her due date, but mainly (I think?) because I asked the doctor not to break my water. Who knows what these new kids will do! Did your oldest show up on/near their due date?

I was mostly active on the BMB my first time around and that group moved to Facebook after the babies all showed up and we’re all still really active there. All that to say that I’ve had to make an effort to get back on this BMB and actually participate regularly.
  • @corngirl he was 4 days after his due date but I started having contractions the day after his due date. He was a long 70 plus hours of labor. I’m pretty sure this guy won’t be that long lol
  • I haven’t really gotten to talk to my doctor much about scheduling yet because of how our office is handling covid precautions but I keep having to remind myself that I’ll probably go in for my c-section at 39 weeks so his birthday will most likely be a bit before 9.14.
  • @corngirl I'm sure some toddlers do very well with babies. It's just that the twins are very active and they are much younger than yours (17mo)...so I just want them to be older when they have free reign of their room. I can just see them jumping out of their window or something crazy...I'm impressed by what they can accomplish already lol.

  • @raesky1111 OMG! Cici’s Bavarian cream dessert pizza is my favorite but haven’t had it in years. I know they changed the dough they use to use for it (which I fell in love with 25 years ago 😜).

    EDD/weeks+days: 17 weeks

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team Green

Baby is the size of a(n): Game console controller 🎮

Upcoming appointments: May 13 for AS (it was supposed to be May6 but the ultrasound tech is now going to be out that week)

How are you feeling? Pretty good, though get some headaches more often than usual

Raves/Rants: I was having issues recently getting and staying comfortable while sleeping and my back/hips hurting when I woke up. I broke down and bought a pregnancy pillow (never bought once for my previous pregnancies). Let me just say it is amazing!!!! I sleep much better, am comfortable and my back/hips don’t hurt I’m the morning.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is a favorite pizza topping(s)? It really depends on where we are getting pizza from. Normally I love sausage and mushrooms from Papa Johns. However, all I want this pregnancy is pepperoni regardless of where we are ordering from.
  • Re: pizza. My coworker bought a pizza and had it delivered to work and he let me have a slice. It was pepperoni and banana peppers from dominos (which I normally wouldn’t get on my pizza) I was starving so it was BANGIN. I wish I always thought pizza tasted that good lol

How are you feeling? Feeling good but my sciatic nerve on my right side has been hurting me a lot.

    Raves/Rants: none

    Questions: none

ETA: favorite pizza toppings are chicken, bacon, artichokes, with kalmata olives and then topped with fresh arugula after it’s been baked. Yumm!
    Ivy: July 2010  |  Stella: Dec 2012  |  BFP#3: MMC at 11Wk's, July 2017 | Wyatt: April 2019 | BFP#5: Twin Girls due Sept 2020

  • @robyn2201 What does your sciatica pain feel like? Wondering if that’s what I’m dealing with..
  • @chasingroygbiv It’s like shooting pain down the side of my back into my leg. If it’s a bad day, it hurts when I take a step. I have noticed with my other pregnancies, that if I sleep with either a pregnancy pillow or body pillow between my legs it helps so much! And towards the end of pregnancy doing pelvic rocks/tilts help drop baby forward and relieve pain. Also it’s a great way to help baby get into optimal positioning for labor!

How are you feeling? Energy drained, but nausea has pretty much subsided for the most part thank goodness! Pain in my groin area; bikini line basically. Assuming it’s round ligament pain.

Raves/Rants: really just feeling the anxiety of corona like all others; I want to browse the store for baby stuff and plan a shower for later in the year!

    Questions: none right now!

GTKY: What is a favorite pizza topping(s)? I like pepperoni, sweet peppers and black olives with some garlic salt!
