This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Going to throw it back to this time last year when I still thought we had a chance to do it without medical assistance
How are things going?: Ok. I'm feeling resigned to the longer wait, and I'm back to avoiding a lot of social media (dear friends and family, please stop complaining about having to spend time with your LOs!!!!) and I muted the text chain with my MiL and my SiL's mom complaining about missing the LOs. It's been better for my mental health.
I also signed up for The Rainbow Run, a virtual 5k on 4/19 for IF and Miscarriage awareness. MH is going to do it with me, which is nice.
Any questions?: Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"? I love getting to watch one of my TV shows (usually British) that MH does not like to watch while I crochet or knit. Could truly do that for an entire day.

What are you doing this cycle? NTNP
How are things going? Things are going okay. Like @mvt2003 I’m feeling really triggered lately by a lot of things. I’m afraid to go to work. But I keep reminding myself of all the things I have to be grateful for- my health, loving husband, family & friends, all of you lovely ladies, a roof over my head, food in my fridge.. and that the weather is finally getting nicer!
Any questions? Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some “me” time? Watching cheesy chick flicks, face masks (which I plan to do tonight) and a glass of wine. I also love doing yoga and lounging in the sun with a good book.
TTC since 9/2018
10/19- First RE visit
2/20- DH had surgery for bilateral varicoceles
7/20- IUI with 5 mg letrozole- BFN
9/20- IVF. 9 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, 7 blasts, 4 PGT-A normal
11/20- Mock transfer/ERA
12/20- FET #1- transferred one 4AB- BFN
3/21- FET #2- transferred one 3AB- BFP! Due Dec 2021
12/21- Baby girl born!
Diagnosis (if you've been): AMA, blocked tube
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): A pretty terrible job of trying on our own. I'm not holding my breath, and am waiting for AF.
How are things going?: Alright, all things considered. I'm just like everyone else. I have my good days and my days where I'm in a total panic about how the world is going to end.
Any questions?: Nope.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"? I watch a lot of intense TV shows that MH doesn't enjoy. Or I love going on walks with my dog, which is something else MH can't really do because of his physical limitations.
@mvt2003 Glad you're doing what you need to do for yourself and muting people! How does the virtual 5K work? Do you just run alone and it keeps track of what everyone's time is?
@misshelen86 Reminding myself of what I'm grateful for is helping me too! So sorry that things are scary at work right now.
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained so far, delaying HSG and the IUI #1 we had planned for this month
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO (finally after being benched three months for Zika!)
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Kind of NTNP, will probably track CM to get a sense of O. And waiting around and crossing my fingers that things calm down ASAP! For a lot of reasons.
How are things going?: Okay...SO is an "essential" employee at his job so has to be out of the house at work every day which scares me but I'm coping. I'm at peace with delaying IUI and look forward to when we can do it b/c that will hopefully mean things are better in the world! Hopefully won't be too long for any of us. In terms of positive news, SO and I are also thinking of getting married (just at City Hall or something very small) when things calm down -- maybe partially just because it's nice to have something to look forward to! (We've been committed for a while but getting married was just not a high priority for us before.)
Any questions?: Do we still do the grad updates thread at the beginning of the month? I didn't see it posted...
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"? Reading, yoga, taking a walk and listening to a podcast, cleaning while watching a movie I've seen a million times.
@shoogapoff Same, constantly wondering how the world is going to end.

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO - AF arrived yesterday
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): NTNP
How are things going?: Good! I wasn't too bummed when AF arrived. It was actually nice to "see" her because this was my first official cycle since having that cyst so it was nice to know that my body did it's thing and was working correctly! Just chugging along nicely.
Any questions?: Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"? Anything relaxing.... enjoying a quiet cup of coffee... watching a TV show... sitting in the sun!!
@mvt2003 I am right there with you about being tired of seeing people post about being "over" having their LO's home. These people are NEVER happy... they complain when they don't get to see them and then they complain when they have too much time. Is it the perfect situation? NO! But make the freaking best of it and cherish this time, people! Ugh - they have been making me so mad lately!!
@misshelen86 Keep thinking about those positive things, friend!! It's a great way to keep the fear at bay
@shoogapoff I love taking the dog for walks too! Keep doing whatever makes you happy
@whitealbum29 Hi friend!!! Love reading that you're doing well and I love the wedding idea!!!

3/2/2020 - Taking a break to reset/NTNP
11/1/2020 - At peace with where things are in life and are no long actively TTC. Whatever happens will happen and it will all be okay.
@misshelen86 this would be so much harder if it wasn't starting to warm up! It's the one positive thing in being stuck at home indefinitely.
@shoogapoff I can be so good emotionally for a while then something stupid triggers me into an anxious mess. I can never tell if it's something in particular or if it's just from so much negative around me.
@whitealbum29 my cousin had a wedding planned for later this year and is now doing something small - immediate family only so they'll be getting married on their planned date at city hall and doing something later. I see nothing wrong with that!
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained, low morph
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO.... eventually ha
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): waiting for the ovaries to wake up and try naturally.
How are things going?: I slipped a bit on the diet over the weekend, but DH had been craving hamburger helper as was I so.... normal pasta it was. DH did not like that I made it with my oat milk but that's all we have in the house now. He's asked me to buy him a small jug of regular milk for things he may want. Hilariously, he's been loving candied carrots so that's being made often... with my vegan butter and I don't think he knew until this weekend. Note to self though... don't make french toast and slather on a tablespoon of butter on the griddle. That was a bit too much for him and I'm over here not really knowing a difference. It certainly smells different from regular butter, but it otherwise tastes pretty similar.
Any questions?: I still think it will be at least 2 weeks before I O, so should I start doing OPKs every other day instead of every 3rd day? There's at least a line there so maybe I should switch to every other for the next week or so then start doing every day? What do you ladies think?
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"? Right now it's always just watching TV and playing games on my phone. When I'm up for it I do a puzzle book too. Debating if I should get into puzzles, but then I feel that I do them once and wouldn't do them again.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Tried Letrozole w a little TI.😑
How are things going?: Ok. I have a big project due next month so it keeps me busy & occupied. Also, woke up out of my sleep at 5 am feeling super ill & crampy. First 2 thoughts simultaneously: Is this coronavirus and Is this implantation cramping? 🥴
Any questions?: How do you do the Grad Checkin? Just copy/paste from previous month & delete the earliest names?
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"? It’s funny thinking how times have changed. I used to LOVE to do my nails, read a magazine, or even do word searches to relax. Now that all sounds like it’s straight outta the 1950s. In this modern era I watch reality TV or browse my Reproductive Immunology groups & TB on my phone.
@kpearse99 Glad you’re feeling good & that your body has returned to normal!
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): I *think* I o'ed early actually. Positive ish opk the last few days, now trending down, and a temp rise this morning. waiting until tomorrow to confirm.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): trying some supplements, and HOPEFULLY clomid next cycle. Still haven't heard back from my RE.
How are things going?: Honestly - on the struggle bus. TW *loss mentioned, covid
I should be worrying about it.
I should be giving birth next month, I should be soaking up the end of my pregnancy. Honestly, I am feeling bitter. I mean, no one WANTS to be in the position of worrying about going through birth alone....
But at the same time - I wish I was. Then I feel like a terrible person.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"? Bath bombs, candles and a book.
@mvt@mvt2003 I will admit - I am a fan of BBC period dramas. A group of friends were screen shoting "what inappropriate thing is wish.com suggesting for you?" - The app suggested a scarf clip, a crochet hook, and cat themed stationary. Apparently wish thinks I'm a little old lady.
@mis@misshelen86 I wish our weather would get nice. It's still just a BIT too cold to be comfortable, and today is the first day it's not rainy and gross. I was to get outside in the sun.... but its still cold. Boo.
@whi@whitealbum29 That's exciting about thinking about getting married. There are absolutely some very legal benefits to it. You kinda don't think about them until something major happens.
@kpe@kpearse99 I'm glad you get a "fresh" start after that cyst. Hopefully this is what you needed!
@int@inthewoods23 I don't do dairy, DH finally revolted. He's been downing about a gallon every two to three days since he returned to it. #deprived
@keikilove that's what I was thinking at this point. The weeks just kind of go by and we're already getting close to calling it mid-April so who knows! The control line is still pretty dark, but I feel like waiting 3 days to test again might make me completely miss it. I certainly almost did back in October!

How are things going?: OK. Very happy that I o'ed on my own, even if it was CD20. We also had pretty good timing, so we'll see. It's been like a year since I've been excited to test so it's fine if the TWW drags. OH! And I actually found chicken at the grocery store today, so I am in a good mood right now. Still no toilet paper or frozen veggies at the store, but I'll take what I can get.
Any questions?:Nope. I've been TTC long enough that I think I might be all out of questions!
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"? Hmmm...knitting while listening to true crime podcasts and drinking tea. Kind of a weird combo but it works for me. Ha!
@mvt2003 I'm starting to think we're the same person with our knitting/crocheting, love of Disney and British stuff. Haha! Although I don't run. Ever.
@misshelen86 thank you for working in health care. I think about all of you every day.
Enjoy that face mask and wine, you deserve it!
@shoogapoff I'm curious about what you mean by intense TV shows.
@whitealbum29 woohoo for being off the bench AND talking about getting married!! That's so exciting.
@kpearse99 isn't it funny when we're actually happy to see AF? I love that you're keeping such a positive attitude.
@inthewoods23 I've been thinking of switching to vegan butter. I feel like I might not really notice a difference. I make scrambled eggs and a lot of other things with almond milk and I don't taste a difference. I have the same thought as you do about puzzles. I don't want to spend money to only do them once. My mom does puzzles and she was saying that they're really expensive on Amazon right now.
@keikilove that reminds me I need to do my nails. Maybe something bright and Easter-y (even though we're not going anywhere!).
@the_road_to_oz I don't think you're a terrible person for having those feelings. The "should be"s are brutal no matter what's going on in the world.
@keikilove I'm glad you have a big project to keep you focused and your mind off other things. That should really help pass the time for sure!
@the_road_to_oz You are not a terrible person, one bit, for having those feelings. You're allowed to feel them. You are entitled to them. It's impossible not to think about those things, and I think you shouldn't push those thoughts away, but instead continue to let yourself feel them. Otherwise, they will always stay as resolved feelings.
@emeraldduchess yay for finding chicken!! I am still shocked that TP is still out at all the local stores around here too.... and paper towels. Like, HOW??!!! ugh! I hope this happy mood continues for you, friend!

How are things going?: Good! Our timing was perfect (-4,-3,-2,-1,0x2). I am currently 2DPO; I plan to test on 9DPO because I am impatient lol. My RE asked me to inform them when my next period comes so they can reinitiate my FET cycle, so I guess I will be less sad if this trying on our own cycle fails.

Any questions?: Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"? Reading a book!
@pom9207 I admit I am a little bit jealous of the fact your RE office is moving forward, but only in a completely I hope this it is for you!
@emeraldduchess Chicken is such a rare find! H found 2 rolls of paper towels today, I may have done a little dance.
@mvt2003 that is an awesome cause to run for! I have been trying to get out and go running again. But after not running for 5 months, it is so hard!
@misshelen86 Hope you are getting lots of time for TLC both for your mental and emotional health. Stay safe and healthy with work. I am so short on patience these days, a face mask, good book in the sun, or glass of wine all sound amazing.
@shoogapoff I texted a friend last night asking what happens to our sanity if this continues for 12 months…it may or may not have been a low point.
@whitealbum29 Having a marriage to look forward to sounds so encouraging! Congratulations!
@kpearse99 I love that you sound so much more relaxed during this NTNP time.
@inthewoods23 Have you checked out the jigsaw puzzle app? It isn’t like doing a real puzzle, but there are lots of puzzles for free.
@keikilove Love that the first thoughts were Rono or implantation lol.
@the_road_to_oz I am in the same boat with you in regards to your TW. Mine would have been in May/June. All normal feelings. Hugs.
@kpearse99 Glad things are moving along after the cyst!
@inthewoods23 Yeah it sounds like EOD would be good for OPKs for now until you get closer. My cousin also had a wedding planned for May 2 and it took them a while to come to terms with the fact that ain't nobody traveling to a big wedding in early May. It would be so stressful to have everything planned for a big event and have to move it!
@keikilove Your wedding sounds so sweet! Yeah I've seen so many simple and lovely ideas for a courthouse wedding, I like the idea of doing that and then just having dinner with family....then maybe a party at some point later on.
@the_road_to_oz I'm so sorry all this is bringing up even more feelings than you might already have had this month. Of course your feelings are completely valid, you need to feel them and it doesn't make you terrible at all!
@mvt2003 That's awesome, I love that it's helping families in need and that your H is getting involved too!
@emeraldduchess I'm still always so proud of myself when I O on my own and by day 20ish, haha, after a few months in the beginning when my body was going rogue. Yay ovaries! And yay for chicken at the store! I got some of the last kleenex at the drugstore today and was pretty happy with that...I still always look for cleaning supplies/bleach and TP even though I know the shelves will probably be empty for weeks and weeks!
@pom9207 - yay for great timing!
@whitealbum29 the shenanigans that our bodies pull sometimes is maddening!
@ramzlau It's okay and natural to be bummed but I am happy that you seem to be at peace with it now. Just breathe and let whatever happen, happen - because that's really all we can do in today's world right now!
@emeraldduchess I mean, to a degree, I get it. But even with the majority of things being "shut down" we are all still able to go out and get the essentials we need. I mean, we are still good on TP and PT for now, but eventually we will need it haha

@kpearse99 As always, I’m so impressed with your optimism and ability to see the positive in a crappy situation. Keep chugging along friend
@inthewoods23 If you don’t have a gluten sensitivity I think it’s okay to slip up a bit on your diet! Glad that you aren’t noticing a difference with the vegan butter. With the OPK’s, I would stick with every other day until either the line starts getting darker or you notice changes in CM.
@keikilove Glad you have a project to keep you occupied right now. The SS is real... I started temp tracking again this month (to screen myself for a fever more than for ovulation purposes) and when it went up a bit, I went back and forth whether it was the virus or ovulation.. or just hot from DH and my weighted blanket.
@the_road_to_oz You aren’t a terrible person. You have every right to feel those feelings and they are SO justified. It’s frustrating to hear people complain about things, when we would give anything to be in their shoes. Hugs to you!
@emeraldduchess Woohoo to O’ing on your own! Your “me time” sounds very relaxing! Hope you get lots of that in over this TWW.
@pom9207 Yay for perfect timing! You get a gold star! Glad you have a backup plan with your RE but hoping you won’t need it!
@ramzlau It’s hard to have patience with this crazy situation we are all in. Hope you find lots of things you enjoy doing to keep yourself occupied and GL to you with going old school!

@the_road_to_oz You are 100% not a terrible person for those thoughts. Having been on both sides, I can tell you I would 100% take this current situation over another empty due date. I'm thinking of you and rooting for you (especially since I realized a month or so ago who you were because changed your username and I missed that fact when it happened, hahaha) Big virtual hugs!

@emeraldduchess wohoo for O! I too ovulated on CD20
@mvt2003 virtual 5k is awesome! Glad you and YH are able to stay active!
@misshelen86 Agreed at this moment a lot of things can be triggering... yay for better whether though! I am jealous! Our wheat her is still so chilly and rainy...
@shoogapoff sorry you are not feeling hopeful about this cycle. I hope things turn out to be the opposite!
@whitealbum29 ahhh congrats to you and your SO!
@kpearse99 I know! Not actively doing treatment helps me to be more relaxed, too
@inthewoods23 I vote for every other day using opk strips with FMU!
@keikilove I hope letrozole+TI works for you this cycle!
@the_road_to_oz since I deleted FB and other social network apps I don’t see posts make me bitter
@ramzlau I know, it’s so frustrating to delay treatment. I hope natural cycles work for us!! Praying for magic babies!
AFM, ugh I was feeling hopeful until yesterday. I experienced cervix pain which continues to today
I think it is likely the “benign inflammation” that’s causing my discomfort. Ughhhhh I just hope it won’t jeopardize my chance for the FET cycle

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): NTNPish with Letrozole & Progesterone.
How are things going?: Doing ok now. Sorry I’m so late to the party this week...like really late! I had to take a break from here. *TW - My second empty due date just passed and we are still on this crazy TTC roller coaster, after almost 2 years of trying! I’m so over this...it is so unfair for all of us who are stuck here!! - End TW*
Any questions?: None right now.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"? Watching one of the shows DH isn’t necessarily a huge fan of (usually This Is Us or Grey’s). And since I started knitting last year, I enjoy doing that as well!
@misshelen86 I’m so sorry for all the triggers! I think that is so good you are focusing on the things you can be grateful for...that is probably the best thing we can all do to get through this! Sending hugs your way!
@emeraldduchess fingers crossed so hard for you that this is your cycle!! I bet it feels nice to have that excitement again, good for you!
AFM, we got all the (digital) paperwork from the genetic testing place today. My head is spinning, but it's good to know that as soon as we get the all-clear to start our IVF cycle, everything will already in be in place. We decided that we don't want the sex of our embryos stated on the results that they send back. We figured after all we've been through and what we've yet to go through, we want to have something left as a surprise!
@emeraldduchess That's great that you have everything in place for IVF!! I hope it's just a couple months away!
@misshelen86 definitely keep reminding yourself of all the great things you have in life!!
@shoogapoff I too have been walking with my pup a lot. It's been great because i feel better with the physical activity, and it burns off some of his energy. lol
@whitealbum29 DH and I are both essential employees as well. I just keep thinking to myself, one of us is going to catch this damn virus and it stresses me out, I get it. and yay for planning a little wedding! That definitely gives you something to look forward to!!
@kpearse99 glad to hear that your body was doing what it was supposed to do! that is always a nice little relief!!
@inthewoods23 Ugh my diet has been awful lately too. DH and I haven't been eating out, but we have been cooking crappy things at home. One night we made a huge dish of nachos, and we Made pizza another night. Definitely need to get back on track.
@keikilove I too love a good TV show. I always get sad when a show ends, I feel like its when a good book comes to an end. You get so attached to some characters lol
@the_road_to_oz I am sorry things have been hard for you as of late, I hope they start to look up for you and there will be reasons to celebrate soon!
@emeraldduchess I too was thrilled when I was able to find meat at the Market! We stocked up just to be on the safe side. I am getting quite annoyed though that I have been able to find any cleaning products. Like did no one clean their houses regularly until this? It blows my mind.
@pom9207 FX that your timing worked!
@bluetickgal I am sorry that you had a rough week, I hope you are feeling better! I agree that it sucks we all have to be in this position!
AFM: I have been so MIA lately, I haven't been able to connect through the app or mobile web, so that is frustrating. anyone else having this problem??
Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOSish
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): CD2
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): NTNP. there is no plan for now with the clinic being closed. I had a phone appointment with my RE this week, she called to check in.. DH and I had decided that we would take a break with all that was going on. She said that once the office is back up and running, we would schedule my hysteroscopy for polyp removal. She said from there we could decide if we wanted to continue with IUI or move on to IVF, which I was surprised about because they usually want you to do 3 IUI's before the next step. DH and I decided that we would give IUI one more go around, since with the polyps gone, our chances would be better, and if that doesn't take, we will move to IVF.
How are things going?: things are good. DH and I have been enjoying our quarantine time together. We haven't had this much time together in years lol. It's nice!!
Any questions?: no questions!
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend some "me time"?
I love to go for a mani/pedi and some retail therapy!! I also love to veg out on the couch and binge watch shows or old movies.

@emeraldduchess Here I am! Yea the mobile site doesn't load at all, which is very frustrating. I am glad that she is giving us the freedom to choose, opposed to deciding for us. Maybe she feels bad that we got screwed, who knows lol
