One is my grandfathers initials... it is close to my collarbone and is pretty small. He was my father figure and we were extremely close but he passed from cancer when I was in middle school. I always knew I would get his initials and when I turned 18 my boyfriend at the time took me to get it for my birthday present.
The other is a small heart (dumb) that I got when I was a rebellious teenager (even more dumb), it was done by my 16 year old cousins 21 year old boyfriend in his apartment thankfully it is super tiny and hidden!
I have two tattoos as well! Got them pretty close together in time about 7 years ago. I do want more, I actually wanted to have one done this winter after my last miscarriage to change my mind a bit, but then I wasn't sure doing it before TTC again.
My tattoos don't have much meaning aside than I liked what they looked like and somehow represent me. I have a Bambi on the right ribs and a Cancer constellation on the right shoulder blades.
As for the next ones, I want a Lion King tattoo (the Simba drawing on the tree ) and our city (Montreal) symbol and/or skyline. I would also like to get our dog's paw print. The hard thing for me is figuring out where to place the tattoos! I like for them to be hidden (most of the time) and on bony parts.
I have 5. I want to get a small peacock feather for my best friend, and my grandmothers signature. And obviously something for new baby, but totally unsure what. Will likely add it to my collage on my side so it’ll probably be nautical themed.
What do you have? Meaning behind it?
I have an arrow on my hip, with no meaning and immense regret 😂
“we live with the scars we choose” on my collarbone
a pirate ship on my rib cage, no meaning but I always wanted it and still love it.
2 mermaids on my rib cage, the tails are my kids’ birthstone colors.

Mine are all hidden and on bony parts too, being able to hide them is important for me.
Who has any? How many? Planning on more? I have 5 tattoos. I am planning on at least one more for this baby.
What do you have? Meaning behind it? My first was a Chili on my back for my uncle who passed when I was 15. It's to remind me of the fun we need to have. My second was a cross on my right thumb pad to remind me to turn the other cheek and to be good to others. My third was the quote "you don't have to hold up the world today" on my collar bone to remind me that I don't always have to do everything perfectly or help everyone. I'm allowed to say no. The fourth is on my calf and it's mine and my 3 yr olds finger prints in the shape of a heart. The 4th and one I just finished before TTC is half of my back. It has roses (my mother's and grandmother's favorite flower) with 3 sugar skulls. The queen, the king and the joker to symbolize the masculine, feminine and fun we all have in us.
I have 5. I'd like 1 more. My zodiac sign in a "cool" way. I'm a Leo ♌
Tinkerbell (because she's my favorite), a heart (just because), my moms initals(she passed away when I was 2), a Disney quote "laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever" (because i love what it says).
I don't have any tattoos currently but want a few small ones. The first one I want to get is the deathly hallow (from Harry Potter) on my inner arm right underneath where the arm bends. Harry Potter has always been such a big part of my life. It helped me to get through those terrible teenage years and inspired a love for stories. I'll probably get my first tattoo when I'm done having babies.
I have 3 and I want to get my son's and this baby's birth month flowers somewhere. Possibly on my thighs. I have a shamrock on my back, a crescent moon with a star tied to it on right my ankle and a star on my left ankle.
I have two, and would love to get more, I just can't seem to justify the expense these days 🤷♀️
I have an oak leaf and acorn on my ankle, representing where I grew up/live, and a cornucopia on my forearm, representing my love for food.
I would like to get a large vegetable piece, and something with native wildflowers/grasses, and something with bees.
In contrast to many of you ladies, I like having mine in visible locations - it's cool when people get to see the body art. BUT, I don't work where it would matter, and many people around here have lots of tattoos, so it's pretty normalized. Also my feelings don't extend to neck/face, or to a lesser extent, hands.

I have 3, possibly more in the future! I have a latin quote on my hip meaning she flies with her own wings, with 3 small birds next to it. I have a lavender stem on my ankle, and a triangle alchemy symbol (a self done stick and poke). The alchemy symbol is for air, reminding me to breathe, the lavender to stay calm, and the birds/quote to remind myself how strong I am! Struggled with mental health for quite some time and I find empowerment through my tattoos!
Just one here. A nautical star on my ankle that I got when I was 21. No meaning other than I like them. I'd like to get a fleur de lis as a memorial tattoo towards my grandfather. He raised me while my mom worked, and we were very close. I also want to get some sort of tattoo to represent my kiddos, just not sure what.
I have one, on my left inner hip. It's twenty, spelled in Italian (venti), written in runes from Lord of the Rings. Twenty is my favorite number and I was actually 20 when I got it. I studied abroad in Italy and I'm a nerd and wanted it in Elvish but it would have looked like "blimpi" so I went with the runes instead.
I want more, just haven't done it yet. I'd like interlocking hearts (first piece of jewelry DH gave me) with a Celtic love knot inside one heart and a lock on the bottom, probably on my foot or ankle. And I'd like a band underneath my wedding rings.
No tats here. I just couldn’t do the voluntary pain and needles. If I ever were to get one it would probably be a weenie dog, which is probably why I shouldn’t get one haha.
I have 9! Of the ones I have the ones with the most meaning are my back tattoo, the first one I ever got. It says "Spirit" with wings and a halo. My dad's nickname was Spirit when he played basketball because he "flew" through the air. He passed when I was 2.5. My grandfather was my father figure and hero growing up so I have "Pop" written in cursive on my left wrist (inside), and my leg tattoo which is my newest one says "Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over she became a butterfly." My tattoo artist did such an amazing job and I am obsessed with it. I will definitely be adding (1) for DD and the new babe. I had plans to do DD's birthdate in roman numerals when I hit my goal weight post baby, but the timing didn't work and now I am pregnant lol.
I have one on my ankle, it's a memorial tattoo. A Celtic cross with the name of my nephew who died of SIDs when he was one month. I'm open to more but it has to have meaning for me. Something for my children and husband but I don't have any current ideas. I figure one day when the time is right I'll know what I want and where.
I have two! When I was 19 I got a tattoo of the green orb dude from the cover of the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy; it's on my left shoulder, and tbh, I forget he's back there sometimes.
This past summer I went on vacation with two of my closest and oldest friends, and we got a team tattoo; we met on a military base in Japan as teenagers, so we decided to get three stylized cherry blossoms, each of us having picked a color. I got mine on my right wrist, which was harder to protect when I returned home to take care of a toddler than I expected, lol.
I don't necessarily expect to get more, but I'm also not ruling it out.

Yeah, I think placement is a really personal thing and dependent on a big number of factors. I work at a university and having visible tattoos in IT isn't a huge deal, as far as I can tell. I was a little bit worried about putting my second one on my wrist, but I'm really glad I did, because I love to look at it and think of my friends. (Bonus points: the nurse of the GP's office always takes my blood pressure and goes, "Oh, yes, I remember your tattoo." )

@nikkiarmstrong_94533 I love the fingerprint heart idea! I might steal it
