Trying to Get Pregnant

Win/Wine/Whine Wednesday 4.8

TB won’t let me search to find a recent version of this, so I found this old version on the interwebs from TB circa 2015😆 I figured we could all use a judgment-free zone to whine about the current state of affairs!

1)  Win - What's a small (or big) win you've had recently?

2)  Wine - What's your favorite drink to have/make when you've had a hard day (doesn't have to be wine)?

3)  Whine - What's your least favorite thing about life right now?

Re: Win/Wine/Whine Wednesday 4.8

  • Win - reaching the end of this cold. Cough is still there but it's more more sparse in frequency. Also win that my doc didn't believe it was Covid!

Wine - Apple cider has been fantastic for boosting my mood or some reason lately. Yum

Whine - I have been trying really hard to just believe that the diet has been an issue this whole time and we will be successful on our own in a few months but my mind has thoughts creeping in that the idea is preposterous and I'm kidding myself. I'm also sick and tired of making a number of the same meals day after day lol. Need to work on getting some variety.

  • 1)  Win - What's a small (or big) win you've had recently?  I have been doing a good job of cleaning up important spaces each night so I can start each day fresh without feeling stressed by mess. Also we realized we were completely out of toilet paper last night (whoops) but I happened to go this morning when I was getting my prescription and managed to get a huge pack! Glad I dont have to worry about it for a long time

    2)  Wine - What's your favorite drink to have/make when you've had a hard day (doesn't have to be wine)?
White hot cocoa mix my mom brought me back from London so yummy or vodka cranberry. I love cranberry juice :)

    3)  Whine - What's your least favorite thing about life right now?
I feel like I have cabin fever even though we get outside a lot. Also I just miss people.  DH and I have not been getting along great this week I think for a lot of the reasons above.

  • @stillcozy oh I love me some white chocolate even though it's not really chocolate lol. Explains why I love cookies and cream so much.

  • @inthewoods23 glad you're starting to feel better.  Hope it all goes away soon and you're back to 100%

@stillcozy That's a huge win being able to find toilet paper right now!

    1)  Win -  I'm coming up on my 100th day of yoga in a couple days!  I'm so proud of myself.  And I have increased my flexibility a TON!  I could barely get to my ankles with my legs straight in front of me, and now I'm getting close to having my nose touch my knee.

    2)  Wine -  I have a glass of hot chocolate every night before bed.  It's so warm and soothing!

    3)  Whine - My coffee I'm drinking right now is kinda cold?  I dunno.  Despite everything going on, I don't have many complaints.

  • @inthewoods23 I'm so glad your cough is dying down. The last thing any of us needs right now is to be sick on top of everything else. Feel better soon!
@stillcozy I'm glad you've been giving yourself the time to clean the spaces that make your home feel like home. That's so important.
@linzrunz 100 days of yoga is awesome!! Keep it up! Movement is so important right now.

    1) Win - I'm caught up on grad school work and my grades are awesome so far this term!
    2) Wine - Guinness Extra Stout or rosè
    3) Whine- I chose my paper topic for my ethical dilemma paper and it's really heavy. I keep reading the research and looking into the laws and it's hard to stay positive.

  • 1)  Win - I transferred a whole bunch of tests and quizzes to an online format so I don't have to email a zillion PDFs to my students, then have them send back pictures of their completed work. Plus this portal grades their answers automatically. :)

    2)  Wine - I love a good cup of black tea with milk and sugar, or some white or rose wine.

    3)  Whine - I hate having to send multiple emails to parents that their kids aren't completing the school work I am assigning. I'm sure they are all very stressed trying to work from home plus take care of their families and I hate adding to that stress. I miss going to the gym, the craft store, and my local ice cream places.
  • @inthewoods23 yay for the cough going down and it (most likely) not being corona!

@stillcozy mm I love white hot cocoa!

@linzrunz wow! 100 days of yoga! That’s incredible! What a feat!

@ashaislurking yay for being caught up on grad work and congrats on getting good grades!

    1. Win - I’ve been doing my workouts everyday this week even though my motivation levels have been looooow

    2. Wine - a good ole fashioned cuppa. I used to hate tea and coffee (still hate coffee) before moving to the UK but now I can barely live without my daily cup of tea

    3. Whine - my body’s sleep schedule. So. Tired.

  • @inthewoods23 Glad your doctor didn't think it was covid and that you're getting better!
@stillcozy I've gotten so obsessed with keeping the house clean since I'm inside all day! It's like the one thing I have control over.
@linzrunz Wow 100 days of yoga! I've been practicing for years but it's been a long time since I was committed to really practicing every day. Good for you, you must feel amazing!
    @ashaislurking Congrats on your grades!

    1)  Win - What's a small (or big) win you've had recently?
Hmm well I made some banana bread that was good and actually did the online yoga class I was planning to do last night, all the way thru instead of stopping 45 minutes in the way I have been lately. Pretty small wins lately!  :s

    2)  Wine - What's your fzvorite drink to have/make when you've had a hard day (doesn't have to be wine)? I do like a glass of wine at the end of the day! Red when it's cold and rose in the spring/summer. Or this "relax" tea with chamomile and licorice in it.

    3)  Whine - What's your least favorite thing about life right now? Worrying about SO and my family re: Covid! The economic issues as well as the health ones.
  • 1)  Win - What's a small (or big) win you've had recently? I had a really big win with getting a bonus I’ve been working months & months to earn. Also, today makes 3.5 weeks straight of exercise!

    2)  Wine - What's your favorite drink to have/make when you've had a hard day (doesn't have to be wine)? Before nonstop TTC, my go-to was white wine: Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, or Pinot Gris. Now it’s tea.

    3)  Whine - What's your least favorite thing about life right now? We are on week 3.5 of taking stay-at-home & isolation super seriously. Others are not. Beyond infuriating.
  • @keikilove. I hear you on your whine.  My 80 year grandma has decided she isn't interested in changing her ways and doing social isolation.  She decided it was too boring for her.  The family is furious especially because we have other family members working at the hospitals.  Her routine has slowed down a little due to  places not being open.
  • @dobiemom11 I can only imagine how you all feel! I’m sure you’re worried sick especially w her being more susceptible due to age. Glad to hear she’s slowed down a bit!
  • @dobiemom11 oh gosh I’m so sorry to hear that. Hopefully with more places shutting down it will continue to slow her too. Please pass along to your family members working on the front lines all my thanks for all they are doing.
