I already put this in the randoms thread (and the check-in thread, because this is apparently all I'm doing while at home) but I am planning a travel/hot air balloon theme. DH and I love to travel (domestic and international) and can't wait to bring baby boy along with us once he's a bit bigger. So far I have plans to have the nursery painted a light yellow color and have white curtains on the one window so it feels airy and bright. Our crib and dresser are also white.
Here are some things I've been eyeing on Etsy, for anyone else looking at doing something similar.
Ah! @wednesdaygirl1019 that all looks so super cute!
ETA This is our new mobile: <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/fq/v4uszjgna0sd.gif" alt=""><img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/dq/cluhohu0ogoj.gif" alt=""><img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/ix/82xzojnccw9m.jpg" alt=""> It's available on other sites too (for more $$), but I saw the price come down on Amazon so I finally snatched it up!
@wednesdaygirl1019 and @BusinessWife, you guys are so cute! Love the theme! I don't generally do nurseries, but I AM in love with mobiles, so I wouldn't mind looking into one to spruce things up over baby's co-sleeper. I'll have to check out Etsy and Amazon for some ideas!
@lachnessmomster I hear you - when we didn't originally receive the mobile, I wasn't sure how I felt about if we even needed it... But then the chiro gave us a simple one with butterflies! So we have that hanging in our room over her co-sleeper, and it's actually been a nice little touch to have.
I’ve been looking at wall art and stars have caught my eye
I’d like to keep my nursery Grey, Yellow, Mint. If it turns out to be a girl there will be no shortage of pink lol which I think I could tie in coral quite nicely. Thoughts?
@charhar0820 I love that shade! Yes, totally could be for boy or girl. I was in my SIL's wedding last summer and the dresses were that shade and we had coral color bouquets... Looked beautiful together.

Ok, this is my third so I’m not even going to pretend that I’m going to go all out on a nursery this time I worked a lot on a nursery for my first daughter, and I halfheartedly attempted with my second - I started off strong with a beautiful pale, antique looking pink for the walls and found some nice artwork, which a year later still hasn’t all been hung (whoops!) The more kids I have, the less important the nursery is (DD2 didn’t move into hers until she was 7 months old) but the room we’ll use as a nursery needs a new paint job so of course I’m going to Pinterest a ton of nice ideas that I’ll likely only half complete! Hah! Having said that.... this will be my first gender neutral nursery and I’m stumped!! Any ideas?! I need some inspiration. Normally I would wander theough winners or homesense and find a piece of art or object that would form the base of my idea but alas... I can’t do that right now! I prefer calmer colours so that I don’t feel like I have to repaint when baby turns 5 or 6, if that makes sense, and themes such as “pale pink and gold” or “stars and space” rather than specific characters like Dora the Explorer or Winnie the Pooh. Help a tired third time mom out!! Thanks guys!
@wednesdaygirl1019 we have a “travel” inspired room for my daughter. Check out hobby lobby. They have great stuff. We’ve moved so it looks a little different now but these are the pieces. They have other maps as well.

@charhar0820 I love the stars! We are going to do a constellation theme (pics below) for the nursery so I am slightly biased!
So we moved a year ago...and just now started working re-doing the bedrooms because #covidaccomplishments. So we are going to do DD and the nursery :-) My inspo for the nursery is below:
I am having a boy, and the theme is Dragons and colors are Navy and Grey! Found this adorable blanket on Etsy (it has dark teal backing—the colors in the pics don’t really do it justice at all) that I’m using to build the theme around. He’ll sleep in my room til he eventually moves in with older brother (probably at the year or two mark), so it’s not so much a “nursery theme” as a “his corner of the room” theme. Lol.
My daughter’s them was butterflies and her colors were lavender and sage green, my youngest son was turtles and his colors were baby blue and light green. My oldest boy didn’t really have a theme, I was too young to do all that at the time.
