I think I've asked these questions before but I cant find my post nor did I write down any answers. Doh!
What is your favorite type of sling? Why? Where did you get it?
Isn't there a store in Seattle or somewhere that has a ton of different slings to try on? I need to go there.

Re: Slings
We got to try on a bunch of different slings as part of my newborn prep class. It was a little difficult to use at first, but I think I'm going to go with the Moby wrap.
Whatever sling you decide on, you can buy a just as good, but less expensive knock off on etsy
So now we just use a Bjorn and love it..so much more freeing to her and I can use it for a long time
We have a bjorn and really like it but Payton hated it until she could face forward. I wanted more of a sling for when the baby is tiny.
Thanks girls!

I use the Wendy Bellisimo sling we registered for at BRU. It was pretty inexpensive and Ray San loves it.

I got a moby too, we will see how it goes....I got mine at the Baby Boutique at Evergreen. It was the same price as all the ones I found online....
I hope it works and wasn't a waste of money!?
Hey Kim! I have a hotsling that I got when Hannah was about 11 months old. I love it! I've been using it with Gavin and he falls asleep in it within minutes! I got mine from my friend Katy. Here's her website:

You can order online, or see her. You can tell her that I referred you.
This is my experience too. Although I didnt' have a hotsling. BUt the Bjorn really hurts your shoulders when the baby doesn't weigh much at all. And the Moby is FANTASTIC for when they're little and cuddly. ANd the Ergo is great when they're bigger. I could still put Ben in the Ergo if I felt like it.
There are a few places you can look locally... www.cozybabyboutique.com is in Kirkland, and there's another one I thin it's called "regarding peanut" or something like that... both of those women go to the Evergreen parent/baby classes. I think Birth and Beyond in Madison Park? also has a lot of options. If you look on line at differnet slings and then look at the retailers for them, you should find good places. I also think there's a website called www.thebabywearer.com - they might have resources.
I have a classic fabric one-should ring sling that I love. The newborn loves to sleep in there and it leaves my hands free. The brand is Rosado.
DH has a Moby but the baby doesn't have enough head control yet.
