Does anyone have recommendations for parenting books with an lgbt perspective? I’ve seen recommendations for Confessions of the Other Mother, from the perspective of a non-biological lesbian mother. Any others? Or just parenting books in general that anyone liked? Thanks!
There's a graphic novel I read and liked a lot called Pregnant Butch: Nine Long Months Spent in Drag by A. K. Summers. Like a Mother: A Feminist Journey Through the Science and Culture of Pregnancy by Angela Garbes isn't written by an LGBTQ person, but she includes some perspectives that I have been hoping to see in other books and haven't (like discussions of non-conforming gender, and statistics of higher mortality rates for poc pregnant and parenting people). Others I considered reading but weren't at my library, I found on this article on Autostraddle called "What to Read When You’re Queer and Expecting: 6 Parenting Books That Smash The Patriarchy" (sorry it won't let me post links!)
