Got my first ultrasound this morning! 7w5d is the official count, and little lump's heart rate was looking good at 150bpm. Doctor also put my due date at Oct 28th, so I will be shuffling over to that group. Good luck all!
Had a US today with my RE. LO is measuring 6w6d with a CRL of 8.9mm. We saw the heartbeat at 125bpm. Doctor felt extremely positive and is turning me over to an OB for care.
@hedgepig I feel relieved (for now). Really and truly grateful to have had as positive a report as I got from my RE. Now, the wait to my appointment with my OB begins!
Had a scare this morning. Had a really heavy gush of blood and some clots. I was sure it was a miscarriage, but they squeezed me in at my OB and it looks like baby is doing well! It was a subchorionic bleed and she said it looks like I will probably keep bleeding some because she can see the pockets of blood in my uterus. It was so terrifying. However, I got to hear baby's heartbeat and that helped calm me down. I have another appointment next Wednesday and have been told no sex, exercise, etc. until I have no bleeding for 2 weeks.
Not a whole lot of stats, we did get to see blood pumping through the baby's heart. Didn't get a number on bpm. Got a crazy 4D view. Probably at 7.5 weeks Nov 1st Due date.
By LMP, we were due 10/30 but u/s says 11/4 so I'm shuffling over to this BMB. HB 142 and it was a beautiful sound after MD initially couldn't "see anything definitive" on the handheld u/s. Apparently, I have a retroverted uterus that made it more difficult to visualize transabdominally. So much relief to see things are going well thus far.
Went in for my annual PAP smear on March 9.....surprise! 5weeks5days. My OB has me coming March 30th (8weeks5days). She said everything looks healthy so far 🤞🏾 I can’t wait to see our baby, get new pictures & hear the heartbeat 🌈👶🏾
My original due date by LMP was November 2nd, but as per today's ultrasound my new due date is October 30 so I'll be shuffling over to that board, but wanted to share the good news with you girls 😊
Hi all! I had an ultrasound at what I thought was about 7 weeks but it turned out I was only 6w 1d. The heart beat was only 84bpm but my dr said that she wouldn’t be worried bc it was probably the first day that the heart beat was even detectable. I have another appt for this Wednesday which should be at exactly 8weeks so hopefully the heart beat has increased and all is well. Prayers would be much appreciated Tentative due date is 11/02/20
We had our first ultrasound on 3/13! Guys life has been so busy I keep forgetting to come back to this board! 🤦🏼♀️ But based on LMP my due date was 11/01 and the U/S confirmed this as we were right on target at 6wks5days. Heartbeat was 140!
Had my 1st ultrasound this morning and what a relief!! Everything looked great! Heartbeat 115, and I’m 6 weeks today. I knew I wasn’t almost 9 weeks even though my lmp was 1/24, I did not O until February. DD 11/18 so I am moving over here from the October forum❤️

Hi all! Quick question, I’ve had ultrasounds in the past and the ultrasound technicians are not typically able to give me any information - instead they send results to my family doctor who then reaches out to schedule an appt to discuss. Is it the same for a dating ultrasound, or is the ultrasound tech able to print out the image and tell you heart beat + due date? Just curious as to what to expect when I go in! Also - may be worth mentioning that I’m in Canada, so not sure if things are different up here.
@jessileed I would say it just depends on the tech. For mine, she printed out (2) photos, told me my due date and even told me I ovulated from my right ovary. I definitely hadn't had one that detailed before!
@bserena the same thing happened to me last night. Thankfully I already had an appointment set for today and it turns out it was a subchorionic bleed but all is good. I’m glad I had read your post though because it gave me a little hope and prevented me from completely freaking out.
Wow, so I had my first appointment and ultrasound couple of hours ago! So exiciting! The bummer was that they didn't let my boyfriend in the hospital at all, only patients. Stupid covid-19! But I video called him for the u/s ☺ Things look great! It was so exciting to hear and see 👶's ❤beat strong at 135! 😍 They said baby is on track so far 🥰🥰 Such an experience! I still can't fully internalize the pregnancy, it's unbelieavable🤣 The u/s had me a bit ahead at 7w1d, while my LMP has me at 6w6d, go figure ☺ They said they will keep same due date for now and will revisit it during my next first official u/s in 5 weeks.
@jessileed probably depends on the practice. I see the tech and OB in the same office. The tech tells me measurements, compares them to the due date, and prints me tons of photos. Then she walks me to a room to meet with my OB.
@jessileed I’m sure all offices are different! In my previous pregnancies, my OB was actually the one who performed the dating ultrasound. For the anatomy scan at 20 weeks I had an ultrasound tech and then met with my OB right afterwards to discuss.
@nekomom don’t stress yet!! There is still plenty of time to find the membrane . I have mo/Di twins but I found out at 14 weeks . They are 2. Don’t google and don’t stress! There are a TON of great Facebook groups to help support this kind of pregnancy and ask questions . My twins were born at 32 weeks in November of 17’. Ask me any question you may have
Yesterday.. they moved my due date a day from 11/11 to 11/12. I had it based on conception date, rare so I know. However my U/S is measuring dd to be 11/17. They said they won’t move it because it’s within 7 days. But I’m leaning toward it being 11/17 because DD was the same and she was born at 40 weeks and they went off U/S date. They said there is a subcronic hemorrhage on the sac.. I’m probably have it wrong..They said it happens in 75% of pregnancies and I should not be worried about it.. but I should take it easy no sex and only light workouts... so normal.. we have a 1 year old cosleeper haha.
