Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Friday 3/20

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

@bows22 Can you set a reminder on your phone? I do that for things often. I sure hope they don't take the takeout option away!!! Not that we are doing it much, but it's really nice to know that option is out there, and we'd like to support businesses as much as we can.

    CD: Maybe day 19??

    WAYDTGKU: NTNP

R/R: I'm like @bows22 in the sense that I can't just sit and work for 8 hours straight while I'm at home. So I've been breaking it up and doing housework in between and also making sure others in the house are doing what they are supposed to be doing. However, I am not working later than the typical work day  :D As long as I'm getting done what I set aside for that day than I am perfectly content.

Currently I'm working on a video lesson for a new online learning class for our new centers to take when they first sign on with us. My boss has picked a virtual fight with me and my co-worker over the fact that he views this lesson as more of a "movie or video" and less "lesson-y".... I'm like, I have to teach them about what their job is going to entail... it's not a movie trailer!! Also, it's Friday  morning, why are you starting a fight this early?! haha

    CS/Q: nothing to see!

PS - I really don't know where I belong in the dailies since I'm NTNP and don't really know if or when I'll O....hmmmm what should I do?! haha

  • @feather_heather I am so happy you are still able to move forward with this cycle!!!! But geeeezzzz..... announcing your infertility to the whole hospital is kind of overkill, don't ya think?! Isn't that a violation of HIPPA sort of?  How can she be that insensitive? Like, know your audience, hun.

  • @bows22 I would set an Alexa reminder! It's so useful! I'm in agreement that working in chunks is the best way to handle all of this. We got takeout last night and are going to do it again on Saturday, we want to support some of our favorite local businesses! I hope that doesn't get taken away! :#

@kpearse99 Sorry this workday has already been stressful! Hopefully it flies by!!!

  • @bows22 def set an Alexa reminder like half an hour before lol! And enjoy that takeout!

@kpearse99 lol your boss situation made me chuckle like look we are all doing the best we can in these circumstances! And do you have a range of when you “normally” O? Just move into the TWW after like CD 20 if you usually O’d before then lol

@feather_heather you are lucky that they are still doing these things for you right now! In My city they have shut down all non-essential services so I’m doing my first round of clomid completely unmonitored lol however I hope that phlebotomist caught herself after that comment and thought to herself hm maybe I shouldn’t say this to people going through infertility because HOW INSENSITIVE

@gingermama29 hi!!!! How are you doing! Hopefully I’ll join in the TWW soon! My goal is to be more active on here now that I have the ability to again!

@mvt2003 I'm so proud of you for sticking to those 30 minute workouts!! Great job!! I think the weekend will be the perfect time to de-clutter some closets! @bluetickgal and I decided we are going to challenge each other to doing 20 squats, 10-20 pushups and 20 tricep dips every hour of the "working day"! So far, we both haven't made it every single hour, BUT we are doing them most of the time! Anyone else wanna join us?!?!

@tryingktogku The last 6 cycles I've been on meds and a few cycles before that my cycles were all over the place! I would typically look for the signs (slight cramping and CM and even CP sometimes, as well as OPKs) but with NTNP I've taken a complete hands off approach! I'm actually completely okay not knowing when I O this time around! Hopefully you'll get your CH soon!

    @gingermama29

ETA: @mindyb2019 Not sure how I missed your post! Sorry <3 Ugh, your night sounds awful!!! I'm so sorry for all of that, AND being half asleep during it all! goodness!

@inthewoods23 haha omg your hubby’s comment 😂😆 and the blanket hanging over the closet rod. My goal is to get a lot of housework done too this weekend. I’ll see how far I get lol.
  • @kpearse99 the hard part is we're both doing the conference calls using our headphones (over the ear type) so you're not hearing everyone else and those drown out the volume of my own voice so I probably end up talking even louder because I seem to go by this thinking that if I can't hear myself talk, no one else can. My voice just is naturally loud too, like projecting my voice is not an issue. I was definitely never asked during a school presentation to speak up. Lol

  • @mvt2003 ya girl you get those workouts in! I did that program a couple years ago and I really enjoyed it!

@mindyb2019 oh man maybe take a nap today!? Let us know what your results are when ya get them!

@kpearse99  I wasn’t tracking for a while too then I found out about the PCOS and alll that stuff so my OB highly Recommends tracking so she can have a look to which is nice! But I’m not going crazy over analyzing which is a first lol

@inthewoods23 that’s too cute! Glad you guys are making the best of WFH

@bluetickgal no they cancelled all ultrasounds, bloodwork and even DH sperm analysis appt to try and relocate workers to deal with the staffing shortage. It’s nuts!
  • @bluetickgal yeah that was in the questions thread I created. Sometimes we're bad about creating those monthly ones lol. We've previously used PreSeed, but the smell is kind of gross, although maybe that's because it was reaching it's expiry date. I was looking into Conceive Plus and it mentions not using parabens and so I checked the PreSeed and it has parabens so I immediately was like  :|  yeah probably want to try something else. It looks like Conceive Plus is a little cheaper too.

  • @tryingktogku I have tracked in the past, but after our 5 failed IUI/6 failed medicated cycles DH and decided to hit the reset button and take a break from full out trying for a little bit. He made it very clear to me he didn't want me tracking with OPKs or anything like that, which I agreed to. We needed a full blown break mentally, emotionally and physically. So we are full out NTNP - just having some good ole' HIO sessions!

  • @kpearse99 I love that! While I was waiting for my medicated cycle to begin knowing I very likely wouldn’t ovulate on my own I just stopped doing everything for a few months and it was such a breath of fresh air!

  • @tryingktogku ah, that makes sense with everything going on. Hopefully you’ll get some clarity with your chart soon!
@inthewoods23 ok, I knew I saw it but couldn’t remember where! I’m good at getting on for a few minutes, reading through things and then coming back to respond later when I have more time. Sometimes I forget to do that in some of the lesser used threads though! My advice with Conceive Plus is don’t apply too early (I know you can apply PreSeed before things get going) or it’ll start drying and get tacky, which is not what you want! Haha.
@kpearse99 yay!!! Hey, that’ll just make for a shorter TWW which will hopefully help even more with the relaxed cycle! 😉
@dobiemom11 I’m sorry for all the anxiety right now! I’m sure with all that is going on plus the house buying process, your mind has to be going a million miles a minute! I hope the closing all goes smoothly on Monday and you can start getting settled into your new home! I hope you enjoyed your pasta and homemade sauce yesterday...glad you went with the good stuff and not just veggies!
  • @bluetickgal Thanks for the tip! I was never a fan of using the applicators with the PreSeed the few times I did use them so we always applied externally to him right before DTD. There may have been one time when I did the applicator inside and then it didn't happen for whatever reason  :D so it's better for us to be able to spontaneously apply it.

R/R: Anniversary! He didn’t get me anything lol so that was a bummer but we are still having a nice day. Likely ordering take out from Cheesecake Factory. This cycle feels like it is going by so slowly though.

CS/Q: slight temp dip but too early to tell anything really.

  • @allthingscozy. Enjoy your evening and your Cheesecake Factory.  DH and I used to get cheesecake and eat it in bed when we first got engaged.  They have the best cheesecake!  This cycle does seem to be forever!!!

@bluetickgal. Thanks for the love.  We decided to get out of the house and take the puppy over to the new neighborhood.  A walk in the sunshine was nice and the promise of the new house.  Mini meltdown over and tomorrow is another new day.  After we close, things will get busy but in a productive way!
  • @dobiemom11 I have never been and love cheesecake! Any recommendations?
  • @allthingscozy. I always go for all the chocolate ones.  We would normally get two and share them!  The slices are huge and then we would also have them for breakfast!
  • Thanks all! I did have a reminder in my phone but I’ve been surprisingly away from my phone a lot because I’ve been moving around the house and working in different places....so it still made me nervous. I successful remembered to do the call!

@kpearse99 I think here is as good as anywhere to post!

@feather_heather oh that is so annoying of the phlebotomist. Not funny at all! I hope everything went well today!

@mvt2003 I’m glad I inspired you to go to Starbucks!! I’m going to pick a closet to do on Saturday too! I don’t know where to begin though, you are way ahead of me! 😂

@mindyb2019 I’ve definitely been there with AF, in sorry you had to deal with that! So glad your bloodwork came back normal!

@inthewoods23 as much as I’d prefer for DH to not be out in this craziness, I know that we would drive each other bananas! You guys are doing great!

@bluetickgal we want to support local restaurants too! I wish I could support them for my morning caffeine but I prefer not to get out of my car for that so Starbucks it is

@dobiemom11 I don’t blame you for being overwhelmed, you have a ton going on! I’m glad your closing is still happening.

@allthingscozy I second @dobiemom11 on the chocolate cheesecakes! Also for food the bistro shrimp pasta is my fave
