Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out. Pink according to sneak peek.
Baby is the size of a(n): Navel Orange (on Wednesday)
Upcoming appointments: Boring appoint 3/16. Schedule my anatomy scan today for 4/9 with MFM.
How are you feeling? Tired. Exhausted. Sleepy.
Raves/Rants: Rave: I got to schedule the anatomy scan!! Rant: It could have been a week earlier, but I do not have child coverage that week.
Questions: When are you going to start readying the nursery? I am feeling antsy about it, but it is currently occupied.
GTKY: What is something you are bad at? Having cash. If I have it on my person I lose it. I lose my purse, wallet, drop it on the ground, donate it in clothes, throw it away in a card, I end up getting the wrong change back, etc. It is a very accurate running joke in my family. If it is over $20 it will disappear and not in a fun way.
How are you feeling? Feeling much better. The random nausea is gone but I’m still pretty tired. Bonus I had the energy to clean the house yesterday!
Raves/Rants: we told my husband’s side of the family that we are pregnant and the gender since we are PGAL we waited a little longer. We tell my side the gender at the end of the month.
Also I felt our little guy move this weekend it was such a relief to feel him swimming around.
Questions: anyone have any good activities to keep a 2 year old busy when you feel like relaxing?
GTKY: What is something you are bad at? Singing but of course that doesn’t stop me from singing anyway! My two year old likes to yell and hit me when I sing so I must be even worse than I think lol
@Louise_Belcher we are planning on moving our two year old son out of the nursery in the early summer. He’s still in a crib and sleeps so well I’m not super excited to change his routine lol
@Louise_Belcher We don't have room for a full nursery, but we're going to start working on organizing our room to make better room in the spring. We have some mild construction type stuff to do that's difficult to do inside so we need to wait until it's warmer out. Getting DS out of our bed will be the bigger challenge lol especially since DH is convinced that I'm just going to bring the baby into bed with us again and we definitely don't have room for 4 of us in our bed!

@ktholysz My 2yo has had way more screen time then usual because of my exhaustion. Other things that help are bring out toys he doesn’t see as much, play dough, and coloring. We have to move my 4yo into my 2yo’s room and I should wait until summer, but I am getting antsy. I need to paint the joint room and do a new closet system so I can get working on that before two beds are stuffed in there.
@mflowers929 That is exciting about the mild construction! What kind of things do you need to do? I am sure that will be a tough transition out of your bed. I had to have a kid in my bed while on vacation last week (they wouldn’t fall asleep together so me and H could sleep in the same bed) and oh my god I cannot handle that. They are all feet and limbs! And I really dislike being touched in my sleep. They are both now begging and whining each night to have one of us sleep with them and that was only 4 nights so I imagine the transition from long term is a bummer.
@Louise_Belcher haha, it's not really that exciting. Our bed was originally a loft bed that my dad built for us that fit in our old apartment (we had really high ceilings since it was on old old duplex that was split into apartments). When we moved into our new apartment, we just took the box for the mattress and threw it on the ground and kind of just left it there. We need to cut a bit from the loft legs and put them on the box to lift the bed off the ground a bit because with a c section I won't be able to get down that low. I'm excited about maybe having a bit of storage space under the bed again though lol. We never intended to have DS in our bed, but since the first day we brought him home from the hospital, he'd scream bloody murder if we tried to put him in his crib or bassinet. And it wasn't one of those things where he'd calm down after a bit either, he'd just keep going and going. So I started bringing him to sleep with me in bed and every time we've tried to transition it's just not worked. He has nightmares and night terrors both so it's tough because he wakes up crying and screaming just about every night. I'm not really sure how to deal with that. Also, DH works nights so I'm used to cuddling with DS for me to fall asleep now too.

Upcoming appointments: 3/26 - DH said we could finally announce on social media AFTER that appointment- ugh.
How are you feeling? Finally feeling good!
Raves/Rants: I’m just STOKED to have made it to the 2nd trimester. I am now starting to believe we are having a baby this summer!
Questions: nope
GTKY: What is something you are bad at? Lying. Holy crap I suck. One of my students asked if we were gonna have any more kids and I froze. Then I cried. So yeah, I super suck at lying...
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Finding out, each day it gets more and more challenging not to open that envelope, but we’ve waited this long— 29 days to go!
Baby is the size of a(n): Orange
Upcoming appointments: Next week, General OB.
How are you feeling? Other than the horrific headaches, pretty good. Still having bouts of anxiety. It makes me feel better when I feel baby wiggling around though.
Raves/Rants: Baby was very obviously moving around last night. I think another week or so and DH should be able to feel it (and the kids in a month when they FINALLY find out, ahhhh)!!
Questions:
GTKY: What is something you are bad at? Being patient. I literally have zero patience.
@Louise_Belcher Our plan is to have an extra Easter basket hidden that the kids will find with a onesie and a random assortment of pink and blue stuff and whatever way we are going to reveal in that somehow! We will then take pictures and use that to announce to family and close friends. Hoping it goes as planned, but.......
