Rants/Raves? We have been having beautiful weather here so I actually got to run outside this weekend. It is nice to get off the treadmill.

GTKY: What are your favorite hobbies? Are you thinking anything will change with your hobbies with this pregnancy and/or motherhood? I’m mainly into crafty things, knitting, making cards etc. Being pregnant has made me excited about some new baby related projects, but I also anticipate I will have less time for crafting in the coming months!
@psmk521 I’m glad I’m no longer alone in this thread! The STM+ threads are always blowing up and I didn’t want us to feel left out
I have been taking B6 for a few months (my OB told me to start it when we started trying as apparently there is evidence that having this nice and high during early pregnancy decreases the risk of MS) but I am considering starting unisom as I am having some worsening nausea. I hope it works for you!
GTKY: I love growing veggies, fruits and flowers in our backyard garden. We’re gearing up for spring and it’s still early in my pregnancy so I’m hoping to still have energy to prep the beds and plant everything out starting in April. My favorite thing is walking the garden early in the morning and I’m telling myself that I’ll still be up for that when I’m further along. We’ll see!
I’m 5 weeks 4 days today, due 10/30. Raving about how much better BBQ tastes while pregnant! My baby has already had it three times since conception 😂 no rants yet. My hobbies include collecting and caring for indoor tropical houseplants. I absolutely love plants and have a knack for them! I’m interested to see if I’ll even have much time for them when my little one arrives. I’ll probably also have to rearrange my plants once the little one is mobile. I love reading, taking walks, and anything true crime! This kiddo is going to be listening to a lot of Crime Junkie podcast over the next 34+ wks!
Rants/Raves? Rant: I’m so tired all the time. I never expected this level exhaustion during the first trimester.

GTKY: What are your favorite hobbies? Are you thinking anything will change with your hobbies with this pregnancy and/or motherhood? Sewing, knitting, baking, and being outdoors. Sewing will definitely ramp up now that we’re prepping for lil babe.
Rants/Raves? Dating ultrasound is scheduled for next Friday 3-13. Hopefully all goes well. I am pretty bummed they didn't do one at my first app last week. The clinic I go to apparently only has 1 sonographer so ultrasounds are scheduled so far out
Questions? Nah
GTKY: What are your favorite hobbies? Are you thinking anything will change with your hobbies with this pregnancy and/or motherhood? I seem to have a lot of similar hobbies with all of you!
@cassiiefrass I just started getting into collecting houseplants about a year ago. I have a small collection, but I'm so nervous I'm going to forget to care for them once baby comes. Luckily MH also enjoys them and will usually water them if I forget. @hml9000 I was hoping to do a lot more work in my garden this year, won't be out there until 2nd tri since planting season doesn't really begin until May/June here in NH. I'm hoping I have more energy by then! I love spending time in my gardens. @psmk521 hoping 2nd tri will bring some energy! I am hoping to do some easy hikes this spring/summer. I have felt 100% useless for the past few weeks as well. @fitzfizz I am so with you on the crafting! There are so many things I want to make right now, but finding energy is hard. I am also struggling with wanting to wait until finding out the gender before I go crazy because I'm nervous that if I start any more gender neutral projects and then find out it's a girl or boy I will want to change my ideas so I've been holding back. I love to crochet and quilt, but I am also hoping to do some painting for the nursery. I also have a feeling time is of essence. My sister actually got into knitting after her LO was born and she was able to knit a ton during and even after her maternity leave.
Rants/Raves? Hate feeling like a lazy bum as it is hard to get up and get going. This fatigue + limiting caffeine and not being able to take my meds has been tough. No mood swings though! Feel very calm all the time.
Questions? Anyone else trying to manage ADHD without meds?
GTKY: What are your favorite hobbies? Are you thinking anything will change with your hobbies with this pregnancy and/or motherhood?
Roller derby, snowboarding, off-roading, drinking, brewing beer... really struggling without being able to do these things! I like camping and hiking too. I feel out of place though not being able to my favorite things. Need to come up with new hobbies...
Rants/Raves? Started taking progesterone today and synthroid. My thyroid numbers are too high. I am waiting for my hcg #s to come back, hoping they have doubled from Tuesday.
Questions? I posted about exercise but no one responded. So is anyone here exercising?
GTKY: What are your favorite hobbies? Are you thinking anything will change with your hobbies with this pregnancy and/or motherhood? Yoga and barre are 2 main things i like to do. I like being outside for hikes/walks, I also like crafting with my cricut. I think I will still be able to do all of these things. I can still do yoga but barre may be a bit harder to do while pregnant.
@hml9000 and @cassiiefrass I wish I could grow plants, I tend to kill them all. MH can keep things alive, so at least we have an herb garden!
@mckjacks Have you ever made quilts? That is my one seeing project I am planning for now. I have made a few before, but nothing complicated.
@ginevere Yes! Another crafter! We will have to start a crafting thread like we had on TTGP so we can show off projects. Something tells me us FTMs will have more time to craft than others haha
@leo_mama85 You definitely seem to have the least PG friendly hobbies! Hopefully you can at least keep camping
@dogmomnowbabymom I’m not sure where you had posted, so sorry if people missed the question. I also exercise, but mainly running. I have kept it up so far, but I’m sure that will become more of an intermittent walk/jog as things progress. Also, we are due date buddies, and I also love my Cricut!
@dogmomnowbabymom I’m still working out, but not as much as I was before. I do kettlebell workouts, modified HIIT, walks with the dogs, and some running. I was supposed to run My third half marathon at 12 weeks but I’ve been too exhausted to continue to train ):
@fitzfizz yes! I have 3 quilts in process right now. I’m not very good yet, but I’m trying.
Rants/Raves? I am having a hard time coping with my decreased activity level. I am a marathon runner and I have decreased the duration and intensity of my daily workouts due to feeling exhausted. It’s warming up in Austin, Texas and I am very happy to get some fresh air and sunshine!
Questions? I haven’t started feeling nauseated, however, I have generally felt unwell- low energy, slight headaches, somewhat queasy. Food is not appealing and I have a few aversions already. Though when I am hungry, it is a deep hunger and it is time for me to eat right then and there. Are these symptoms typical prior to the onset of nausea/vomiting? It appears to be getting a little worse every day.
GTKY: What are your favorite hobbies? Are you thinking anything will change with your hobbies with this pregnancy and/or motherhood?
Again, I am a runner. I love being outside and being active- hiking, biking, kayaking, and spending the day at the park with my husband. I am an avid reader and writer. I also love to cook, bake, etc. I generally enjoy crafts and would like to do more crafting once the little one is here and able to join 😊
Happy to know there are some other active lifestyle moms here!! I feel my workouts have already dropped in intensity, which is fine. I am doing a 20 mile bike ride for charity in may and I just hope I can finish lol. I am also a kayaker @knottieb462a19b2c7bf5b2. Do you plan to keep kayaking in your pregnancy? I told my husband I plan to, but won't go our usually place because it can get very dicey at times with down trees and a quick current. I'd like to explore some calmer places.
@knottie it’s really so different for every woman and every pregnancy. I’ve had different levels of morning sickness at different time and different patterns with all three pregnancies. So there is really no way to tell if yours will get worse or not. Trying to keep something in your stomach is the best way to avoid feeling absolutely rotten in my experience. Little snacks like almonds or trail mix were my go to snacks last time. This time breakfast bars and fruit seem to help more.
Rants/Raves? My rant is that I find concentration at work really hard right now! Can't focus at all and just feel like I'm more interested in researching my baby questions and watching mom youtubers lol. Hope my productivity increases soon.

GTKY: What are your favorite hobbies? I go to The Bar Method for exercise, love it! Looking forward to the fact that I should be able to continue going until week 30. The instructors have modifications for each stage of pregnancy to keep baby safe. Also love cooking, sewing, cuddling my weimaraner Maverick, water sports, and anything outdoorsy as well. @leo_mama85 I too miss social drinking. I'm 28 and my friends aren't all family oriented yet, so I've found mommy mocktails give me the drink I need to feel like one of the gang still.
@leo_mama85 I play roller derby too! Just told my team captain that I won’t be practicing for the time being but going to keep things quiet around the rest of the league until we announce publicly and I can come back and help coach or volunteer. Now to find another physical activity that’s just as challenging but also safe for baby.
