  • EDD/weeks+days: 25 weeks 2 days

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink

Baby is the size of a(n): Cauliflower

Upcoming appointments: Next midwife appointment is March 16th

How are you feeling? Fine. Tired all the time but managing.

Raves/Rants: I’m not panicking about corona virus but people keep asking me if I’m worried. I commute to work 4 days a week on the tube so maybe I should start working from home more? Let’s see if we end up with mandatory work from home!

    Questions: nothing

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? As long as corona virus doesn’t get in the way we’re going to go away the weekend of March 14th for my birthday! Also DH and I are taking a day off work and doing a Scandinavian baking class, which I’m really excited about ahah

Baby is the size of a(n): camping lantern

Upcoming appointments: next Tuesday for 28w a d gd testing

How are you feeling? Hips are sore if I do too much, not sleeping well again. Other than that I feel good!

    Raves/Rants nope

Questions: I can't remember when you need to start carrying is baby is head down. If I'm not standing, I'm laying on my side. It makes me worry if she'll be in some weird position and not know how she should be.

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? Just house work and prepping for baby arrival!
  • EDD/weeks+days: 24+1, 6/21

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink

Baby is the size of a(n): Ear of corn

Upcoming appointments: 3/13 OB checkup, Glucose test and Rhogam shot coming up in the next few weeks too.

How are you feeling? I'm feeling pretty good. I'm perpetually exhausted but that could be keeping up with my 5 yr old. And the headaches are still semi daily, but magnesium has been helping.

Raves/Rants: I'm so happy to have hit Viability this week. Such a huge milestone for my PGAL brain.

    Questions: none at the moment

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? Nothing too special. Mostly just getting things ready for baby and planning for my DS birthday party in April.

@runwmusic I recently had a fetal echo and the baby was breech and I asked about it to the MFM and he said that they don't really care until around 34 weeks cause up until then there is plenty of room in there for them to flip.

  • EDD/weeks+days: 24+6

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue

Baby is the size of a(n): Cantaloupe

Upcoming appointments: tomorrow at 25 weeks

How are you feeling? Super emotional and anxious the last few days. Felt kind of off this weekend, I think something I ate maybe just bothered me. DS is not sleeping well so I’m tired too. We are doing swim lessons for him as a special activity before baby gets here and I am exhausted from that!

Raves/Rants: Our house is slowly but surely coming together. The baby room is a mess but once I get everything else organized I can focus on that.

Questions: why does my DH feel the need to wake me up every time he finds me sleeping on my back? Good intentions but stop waking the pregnant lady! If I need to wake up I will move!

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? No big plans!
  • EDD/weeks+days: 23w6d

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue

Baby is the size of a(n): Grapefruit

Upcoming appointments: Fetal echo (today), 24 week appointment on Friday

How are you feeling? Still feeling pretty good.  I have days when he's low and walking isn't the best.  And I'm tired more quickly, but I also leave for work before 6am, return at 7pm and have two kids.  It's a hard schedule not being 39 and pregnant!

Raves/Rants: I went to a consignment sale Friday and got a couple cute outfits for the baby, a sling and a front to back carrier

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? Not really.
  • EDD/weeks+days: 26 weeks + 5 days

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Team blue

Baby is the size of a(n): baby? Lol - I don't know.  Can't keep up :)

Upcoming appointments: Next week - 28 weeks.  I also need to go get my glucose test done and get the rhogam shot since I am O- and DH is O+

How are you feeling? Fine - not feeling AS tired lately...but I am not optimistic that will last.  Either way, I have no energy to actually do anything at home on a work night other than lounge in front of the TV.

    Raves/Rants:

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? Throwing my parents their 50th wedding anniversary dinner on Saturday - at my house and catered by me.  I'm crazy.  Then wrapping up the musical for our performances the first weekend in April!

  • EDD/weeks+days: 24w 6d

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: 💙

Baby is the size of a(n): cantaloupe

Upcoming appointments: not until end of this month, also a size ultra sound to make sure hypocoiled cord isn’t causing growth issues. And at some point need to go back for my 3hr glucose test.

How are you feeling? Physically, okay. My back is sore. Emotional I’m a wreck. We have a almost five year old and just turned two year old, both who are being little roller coasters lately, and honestly, I’m struggling. Between trying to be a good mom to them, and not taking their behaviors and emotions personally, and living in this pregnancy, I’m just honestly feeling a bit like I’m drowning 😔

Raves/Rants: why are little people such little jerks sometimes?! Good thing i love them so much.

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? My husband and i leave for a couple days at the end of the month for California, just us. I and we need this !

  • @chaos-and-coffee are we both due June 16th with boys? ☺️ We just started doing swim lessons with our little guy three weeks ago. He loves the water so much, but i opted to do the classes where he is with the instructor and two other kids vs with me, and he has been in hysterics all three times. It’s devastating seeing him like that. I’m not sure what to do. He does all of the activities and isn’t aggressive, just sobs. They keep telling me he’ll get better by week 4, is normal, but it honestly breaks my heart. Maybe i should just break down and do the mom and tot class (it’s certainly cheaper) i just really don’t want to get in the water right now 🙈 andddd since he’s comfortable with the water, I’m not even sure if that’s the right move 😭

@hayhay2501 Both of those March activities sound so good. I am not familiar with Scandinavian cuisine, tell me more!! 🤔☺️

  • @brose1117 yup, that’s my due date! I’m hoping next week goes better for us. DH came with us and the whole time DS was pointing at the side wanting his dad. Next time I’m leaving DH at home lol.
  • @brose1117 the key thing that sold me on the course was... CINNAMON BUNS. One of my faves! Can’t wait. And I just have one, but I know how you feel. DD is very spirited and some times it’s really hard not to take her mood changes personally. Also my job is crazy so I just feel constantly like I need a long vacation ha

  • EDD/weeks+days: 6/22---24w. Happy Viability Day to me!!!

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: blue

Baby is the size of a(n): cantalope

Upcoming appointments: tomorrow for regular 24 wk appointment

How are you feeling? Really really pregnant. I have a short torso so bending over is now very difficult, eating a full meal is difficult, putting on pants and shoes is now an Olympic sport. Other than that great!!!  I do have a new fun pregnancy symptom though...edema on the underside of my breast so that's fun.

Raves/Rants: found a super cool bra store while on vacation last week and got properly sized for a bra and walked put of the store with it. 34J and the brand I got has a structured nursing bra for when I go back to work and need something more than a stretchy nursing bra.

    Questions: none currently

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? May start on finding a crib and getting it set up.  Probably will finally have all the bids in for our house build and will be able to go to the bank and see how much this is going to cost to build our dream home.
  • @chaos-and-coffee my boys are obsessed with their dad, it would never go well for us either 🙈😂

@hayhay2501 omg yes! If you love and get the recipe, please share ☺️🙌🏼

Raves/Rants: I am hungry. all the darn time. I want french fries and fruit and avocado.

Baby is the size of a(n): idk. Some weird fruit that doesn't make sense probably

Upcoming appointments: I think I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow at home....maybe.

How are you feeling? Pain. Almost over the flu. Now starting to want to get everything ready for baby. like yesterday.

Raves/Rants: Rant-please kids, play by yourselves sometimes. Raves-we avoided our normal dumping of huge amounts of snow and sub-zero February weather here, I think it might be starting to Spring...which would be so nice. The last few years it didn't really warm up and stop snowing until mid May.

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? Nothing exciting here ever, lol. Busted up and financially broke. Going to start getting baby stuff ready in another week or so, in case I physically can't soon.

How are you feeling? Tired and my pelvis is starting to be sore

    Raves/Rants: Not much.

Questions: What do you all plan on doing for meals when after delivery? I've been slowly sticking up on skillet meals the hubby can cook.

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? We are doing a short Florida trip at the end of the month as out "babymoon" and DH's birthday treat. Anyone been to Cape Canaveral?

  • @horsesmeetbaby we are terrible at freezer meals. I’m hoping that this time since it’s summer we’ll grill a lot. Last time as a gift from my coworkers we got a variety of gift cards to places like subway, qdoba and it was one of the best gifts! I did want to make and freeze breakfast burritos, and some quick options. DH is an awful cook but great at the grill so we’ll see.
  • @horsesmeetbaby i never meal prepped like i intended, but i also found that often cooking dinner was my only “free” time most days, in those early days, so with our second i totally ate that up. And then appreciated the nights my husband talked me into pizza or Thai, etc. (it’s when they are 3+ months that i find i really need meal help)

@horsesmeetbaby for DS1 I made a few lasagnas to freeze and a couple bags of chicken and grain soup that could go into the crock pot with some water and turn into dinner. These were our favorites. We've since gotten a sous vide, so we'll pack up some meats that can go straight into the water bath, and I'll make and freeze a couple compound butters to fancy up veggies. We did great with frozen green beans and broccoli in steamer bags last time too. Maybe a big batch of chili because DS1 loves it and easy kid meals are a blessing.

Baby is the size of a: cabbage! (I am cheating and using the 27 week thing)

Upcoming appointments: I actually just had mine today, a routine OB appointment plus went to the lab for my glucose test. For a change I went with lots of questions written down. I feel like the more informed I am, the better I will be able to advocate for myself.

How are you feeling? Very third trimester-y already. Deeply uncomfortable. Constipated. Heartburn around the clock. Can’t sleep. Need to pee all the time. Wake up in the middle of the night with leg cramps. Out of breath when I walk up stairs. Belly feels a lot of pressure like baby is trying to burst out through my belly button. Back hurts. The list goes on. Basically, all the typical pregnancy stuff, I am just getting more cranky about it now because my belly is making it harder to move around.
Raves/Rants: DD is the sweetest. I hope she loves being a big sister.

    Questions: None.

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? Nada. I was trying to plan a weekend away in NYC with my husband but I am getting kind of paranoid about coronavirus.

Upcoming appointments: I go March 17th for checkup and GD test. I believe two-week appointments start after that, but I’d rather wait another 4 weeks to save my leave at work since I’ve had an uneventful and relatively easy pregnancy. Not sure if my doctor will agree.

How are you feeling? Pretty good. My appetite has definitely increased and my hormones do seem to be running a little crazier lately. I flaked out on a girls night last weekend because I was on the verge of tears for absolutely no reason.

Raves/Rants: DH felt baby girl kick for the first time tonight! And thankfully my son’s sleep has improved after a rough patch with allergies and teething.

    Questions: None today.

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? DH and I are supposed to go to an RV expo later this month. We’re not in the market for one right now, but dreaming of future roadtrips with the kids is fun. And I have a convention in the DFW metroplex at the end of the month with a free hotel and meal allowance for a couple of nights, so DH and I are using it as a mini babymoon.
  • @kjack86 dh and I need to upgrade our rv now that we'll be a family of 4. We have a Chevy roadtrek 190 which only has 3 seats, and have so many fond memories in it. Our baby moon before ds was born we went to Colorado, Mount Rushmore, and the badlands (badlands were AMAZING). Being able to pee without stopping was epic 🤣.
  • @kjack86 and @runwmusic we like to go and drool over the toyhaulers and think how nice it would be to have one for races instead of working out of the race trailer and borrowed space in other people's campers.

Baby is the size of a(n): Bowling Pin

Upcoming appointments: Midwife in 3 weeks (3/27) for glucose test and my last 4-week checkup before the appts move to every 2 weeks.

How are you feeling? Tired! DS has been waking me up in the middle of the night. We co-sleep (his bed is next to our king bed, sometimes he stays in his bed all night, most nights he crawls over to cuddle up with me) and his movements have been waking me up more. I used to fall right back asleep but now I'm up for 30 mins - hour before I can get comfortable and get back to sleep.

Raves/Rants: I met with my HR rep this week and got some good news about an extended and increased maternity leave option offered in NJ. So now I should get a stipend during the last 6 weeks of my leave that I thought were going to be unpaid.

Questions: Anyone changing travel plans bc of coronavirus? We have a trip planned for April and DH is talking about cancelling it. I'm less concerned at this point as long as we're careful about hand washing and wiping down airplane seats and trays. But we are planning on staying in a hotel that is also a hostel, so maybe we should be concerned about close proximity yo international travelers? We didn't get any kind of travel insurance so cancelling flights would be a financial hit too. Ugh.

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? Bringing the kids (DS and his cousins) to a disney on ice show at the end of the month (on my birthday actually). Then the trip to Miami in April as long as coronavirus doesn't get in the way!
    BabyFruit Ticker
  • @thinkpositive2017 if you’re going to Miami I wouldn’t worry too much. If you’re a healthy adult your chances of getting it are about the same as getting the flu. 98% of people who contract it recover just fine. Just wash your hands a lot.
  • EDD/ weeks + days: June 11/ 26 weeks 1 day

Baby is the size of a butternut squash

Upcoming appointments: March 23 with specialist for GD, and 24 for 28 week appointment

How are you feeling?: Tired and stressed, otherwise ok

Raves/rants: unrelated to pregnancy but there is a national shortage of masks so we are trying to ration them and so they’re having us reuse a single mask for flu patients instead of getting a new one each time. Really frustrating, because I don’t feel like getting the flu.

    Questions: none

GTKY: I’m hoping to finally get the purchase of our home underway and hopefully be able to be moved in before the baby comes. I can’t wait until that stress is off the table for me.

  • @thinkpositive2017 I’m potty training our little one and now he has been waking up through the night 😩😩 and I’m struggling to fall back asleep too! As soon as I wake, baby seems to wake and then he has a 30 min kick boxing session each time 🙈

we are planning on going to California at the end of this month. We are definitely talking about the risks with each other and trying to be responsible regarding if we should cancel, but i think we’ll go. I hope we’ll go. I’m ecstatic to spend a few nights just us, without kids!! What about switching up your accommodations rather than potentially canceling altogether? Is that feasible? Would that make you feel more comfortable with the trip?
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @brose1117 I would stay away from LA entirely, but maybe if we were staying in a rental home, not in a city I'd go. But I haven't been lucky enough to even have a with kids vacation now in 5 years. None vacations at all, my husband has t,d worst benefits ever and can't get days off for a vacation.

How are you feeling? Pretty good overall. Recently started to minor lower back pain. Today had a stomach ache.

Raves/Rants: Rave: ordered groceries on line today and didn’t have to go to the grocery store! Had a coupon code for $15 off so delivery was free also.

GTKY: Do you have anything exciting planned for March? Not really, was supposed to go to Chicago for work next week, but the whole show was cancelled due to the Corona virus. Have our prenatal classes 2 weekends from now.
  • @brose117 Yes, the hotel is refundable so we're looking into a vacation rental instead. As of now, we're still going and forward with the original travel plans, but I'm mentally preparing to cancel the trip if things get worse or domestic travel is restricted by that point. :(
