WTF DH's job. Making him leave town for 4 straight weeks so I'm solo with a toddler during first tri is a nightmare. He doesn't leave for 2 more weeks but I'm already dreading it so much!
WTF to my sleep last night. DD was up multiple times (she has a cold) and then my dog woke me up at 330 to go out (which doesn't happen often). When she does this she usually ends up staying out there for like twenty minutes so I went back to bed, assuming I wouldn't fall asleep. I woke up to get her 40 minutes later and I do not feel bad.
Oh F that shi @carrotsandpeas3 ! DH is leaving for every other week starting this week for the next month and a half, but at least I get some relief! I hope your H is letting you get all the naps and sleeps now, and repays you when he returns.
My WTF is to how much kid dressers are. I snagged a beautiful, gently used twin bed for DD, but to find a matching dresser it's looking to be at least $500! WTF ITS A KIDS DRESSER
@carrotsandpeas3 that is a long time! I forget if you are a SAHM or work? Can you get some extra help for those weeks? MH never had to go out of town but I work full time and occasionally do so when that happens we usually suck it up and pay the nanny some extra hours. We have no family in town so we are on our own. Sorry for those who are sick/have sick kiddos!
WTF work. Both my boss and a colleague were messaging me in our app when they knew I was restarting my Mac and installing updates. Then they sent me a freaking last minute meeting invite that requires me to do stuff and it's big client. I have not been able to do any work because I am always in meetings. And this ween is lagging big time!
@dolewhipper hahaha in my dreams. My husband has been on evening shift for the last 3 weeks and worked 2 of the last 3 weekends so I've been solo parenting. Friday is his last shift like that though, so I will at least have 2 normal weeks with help before he leaves.
My WTF is a college rep that just stopped by my office to try and get office hours in our Education Resource Center. He looked at my keyboard (it's a typewriter style keyboard that is white with rose gold around the keys) and said, "Hey, that's an interesting keyboard. Kinda feminist, don't you think? You need a black one. That's more masculine."
Um, excuse me??? I get that I'm in the military, but are you f*cking kidding me? And hell yeah, I'm a feminist!!
@babyodo WTAF?? I’m not military but I work in a traditionally male dominated field, and I get very triggered when men say things like that. I probably would have said something that got me in trouble (wouldn’t be the first time).
@carrotsandpeas3 that sucks soo much. My husband works from home and travels for work. He’s got trips once a month for the next 4 months, but the longest is 8 days in April. He left for 3 months when my son was 7mos old. I work full time and that was freakin hard. I do not know how military wives do it...I have a lot of respect for them. Best of luck to you...hopefully you’ll be feeling ok.
WTF stomach. I have a positive pregnancy test and I *immediately* look 5 months pregnant. Happened last time, too. I'm only 6 weeks and I'm already having to wear nothing but elastic waist and maternity pants. Keeping things a secret is pretty much impossible - when you're a size 4 everywhere but your waist which is suddenly a size 12 people tend to comment.
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
@kboydbowman - I feel ya. I'm also a size 4 and last time I was KU I didn't really get a serious blump until around week 9 or 10, but here I am at 6+4 and I already had to stop wearing a belt with my work pants because it was digging into me. We're not authorized to transition to the maternity uniform until the 2nd trimester, so I have a feeling I'm going to have to do some creative altering to my current uniform for a while.
@morethanamama sorry I didn't see your post until today. Yeah I work full time (minimum 50 hrs per week). She will be in daycare, it's just exhausting to do morning and evenings and full weekends by myself. My parents live 3 hours away and said they will come up for a weekend which will be nice. 4 weeks will fly, I'm just throwing a pity party. Plus, I'm nervous since that's week 8-12 which was peak symptoms for me with my last pregnancy.
@babyodo, you aren’t authorized to transition to appropriate clothing that would make you more comfortable at work until some arbitrary time chosen by your employer? Omg that sounds like an HR nightmare waiting to happen.
@carrotsandpeas3 I can relate. I flip out when my H gets home right at bedtime instead of 30 minutes before😆 so your feelings are justified! That was the peak time for symptoms too for me!
@morethanamama I'm sorry you are feeling sick. ☹️ I'm little woozy in the mornings at 6+2 so I'm pretty sure it's coming. I threw up so much last time I destroyed my teeth. Surely my 18 month old can take care of herself while I'm vomiting this time? Sarcasm of course. I'm terrified of how that's going to work.
Re: WTF Wednesday 2/26
@carrotsandpeas3 Omg, 4 weeks! Wtf indeed!
