Since some ladies are getting really close to baby's eviction day, I thought it would be nice to begin a weekly check in.

I haven’t posted on here in a long time but today was insane and I have to share. I had an appointment yesterday at 36 + 5 and was 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. No contractions. All was normal. Today (2/26) as I was eating lunch as my work I thought my water might have broken. I called my Dr. who said to go to L&D so I drove myself 25 minutes home, grabbed my husband and the hospital bag-half packed, and headed to the hospital. They confirmed that my water broke and the waiting game began. We got to the hospital around 1. I asked for an epidural around 10 when they said I was 4 cm. It took 20 minutes for the anesthesiologists to get there, I signed consent forms, they sent my husband to the waiting room only to check me again and I was fully dilated. Time to push. The grabbed my husband and at 10:58 on 2/26 Henry came into the world. He weighs 6lbs 15 oz and is 19 inches long. His due date was 3/19. We are in love and in shock 💙❤️💛

@sivosk Congrats! I can only imagine how shocked you were to go from 1 cm and nothing to... baby! I'm so glad he is healthy and LOVE the name. Based on how I am reading your story, did you never get the epidural because you were at a 10 before he was even there?
@EmilyLove25 thank you! Yes, by the time the anesthesiologists got there I was fully dilated and it was time to push! My contractions were so intense at that point My husband could hear me from the waiting room 😳
@sivosk Congratulations! What a whirlwind that must have been! I ended up pushing without epidural too! Mine just wasn't effective on one side of my body for some reason.
I hope your recovery is going well! Rest as much as you can. Your body has been through a lot!
