Re: Tuesday Ticker Change 2/25

  • Estimated due date (EDD): 10/13

    Week of pregnancy: 7!

Upcoming Appointments: still waiting for March 3rd, getting close!

Rant/Rave: Rave- I finally found a diaper bag I would actually carry. 😂 I never used one for mini, I just stuffed stuff in my purse. I guess this is just a large purse too, but I’m using diaper bag as an excuse. Jujube is having a sale on their Blizzard (World of Warcraft) prints, so I picked up a big bag for half off.

    Questions: nada

GTKY: If you could live in a book, movie, or TV show, which would it be? Parks and Recreation

  • @deaddahliah MH works in the video game industry ;) We are VERY familiar with WOW, l'll leave it at that. Though I don't play!

    8 weeks today!
Appointment is still feeling so far away, 3/6. Ugh.
Not much nausea, just crazy exhaustion and weird cravings/nothing sounds good. Prego brain hitting hard too.
My rant is that i had my annual physical today and even though the lab told me that everything would be covered this time since it's all under "preventive" they are charging me $200. I hate healthcare so much.
GTKY: If you could live in a book, movie, or TV show, which would it be? Harry Potter or The Office!
  • @morethanamama thank him for his service. 🤣🤣 I know it can be kind of thankless because us gamers like to QQ and complain.

On a serious note, our healthcare system is a joke. It’s infuriating. There’s no reason patients should have to itemize their bills, go over them with a fine tooth comb, and then call got corrected codes or removing line items. People have to go to school for billing, patients shouldn’t be expected to also know and understand this stuff. We have insurance through ACA since DH doesn’t get insurance through his employer (small business, he’s the only employee). I’m dreading what the true costs will be.

    Week of pregnancy: 6 weeks!

    Upcoming Appointments: March 3rd too!

Rant/Rave: my hubby has been freaking amazing and taking DD our for a long walk when he gets home to let me just rest. I don’t remember being this exhausted last time.

    Questions:

GTKY: If you could live in a book, movie, or TV show, which would it be?

    Friends or Harry Potter

On the healthcare rant, I totally agree. It wasn’t until my last pregnancy that I started questioning and reviewing every single one of my bills. My OBGYn office is the only one who hasn’t made a mistake. Before I got married I always such awful insurance. I felt like I never wanted to go get any sort of check ups for the fear of what I would end up owing.
  • I'm glad I'm in good company and I totally agree @deaddahliah! It's infuriating that I need to be so vigilant and chase people to correct bills. Once they sent me a $500 bill "by mistake". Of course I immediately fought it but what if I had not? They just get away with it! I'm definitely super picky now about any service that is being recommended. And it kills me to not being able to get procedure costs upfront. A joke!

  • Estimated due date (EDD):10/20

    Week of pregnancy: 6

    Upcoming Appointments: April 9th!!! 😭😫

Rant/Rave: puking all night is not fun. But love my husband to pieces too! He’s been doing so so much.

    Questions: nuthin

    Week of pregnancy: 6 weeks!

Upcoming Appointments: March 10... I’m getting so impatient 😫

Rant/Rave: Not too many rants yet... I just wish the days would move faster so I can get to my appointment!! Lol. My rave is that hubby is being so sweet and supportive (not that he isn’t normally, but it seems extra). And he’s always looking out for me with pregnancy related things.

Questions: is anyone else not having super horrible symptoms? I mean I’m happy I’m not throwing up every hour but at least it would give me reassurance that I am in fact still 6 weeks pregnant 😬 I do have a bit of queasiness sometimes here and there and sore boobs when my bra comes off at night. I just thought it would be like 10 times worse than what I’m experiencing!

GTKY: If you could live in a book, movie, or TV show, which would it be?

Movie would be Tangled, book would be Harry Potter or Percy Jackson, TV show would be Parks and Recreation!
  • @mamahosch My symptoms are pretty mild, they were the same with my last pregnancy too. previous experience isn’t keeping me from worrying, I think that just comes with being pregnant.

  • @mamahosch Besides being exhausted (which I kind of blame on chasing a toddler around) my symptoms are pretty much the same. Trying to not stress about it too much and just go with the flow. I feel like some symptoms is better than no symptoms.
  • @mamahosch Try not to stress. Sore boobs is a great sign! And, it’s still pretty early in the game. That nausea can wait to pounce until week 7 or 8 sometimes. Don’t forget we are towards the end of the month so when comparing ourselves to others on the board we are a few weeks behind. I always have to remind myself that because I’ve always been a late in the month due dater. I hope you have a healthy and mild pregnancy though!
