Testing: I wanted to wait until Sunday, but DH bought a bottle of wine to drink tonight. I don’t want to drink this far into the TWW when I haven’t tested, so we compromised on tomorrow.

R/R: My talk with my boss went well. He knows my team can’t handle the new work on our own. No real plan yet but I just wanted to make sure we are on the same page, so I’m relieved about that.

I hope everyone is doing something special today even if it’s small! DH is the cook in our house so he is making my favorite dinner tonight. I also forwarded him an email I received from DQ with these small heart cakes they are doing for V-Day so I’m hoping he took the hint!

@krystrist2014 I decided to buy FRERs at walmart yesterday, and the checkout lady was a patient of mine, so I ended up literally putting some beer back on the shelf so that I could use the self checkout. Sorry DH. Thought you may appreciate that

R/R: Battery died in my Proven brand BBT this morning and I have been using it less than 2 months. Will be buying a new thermometer if needed for next month. Annoying.

@fitzfizz good luck testing tomorrow! 10 DPO is perfectly acceptable. I just really don’t want to see a BFN so I’m putting it off haha. That sucks about your thermometer! When I temped I used a Mabis and liked it. I really hope you don’t need a new one though!

R/R: Happy Valentine's Day, ladies!!! I hope everyone has a lovely day! We went out for dinner last night to avoid the crowds, and tonight I'm making enchiladas at home! MH got me a new Pandora charm, which was unexpected!

I'm still so excited about our progress with embryos. I've had the goal of wanting 4 embryos in the freezer all along, so having 9 make it to this point really makes me thrilled. MH updated his mom and brother last night (they literally do not understand how IVF works, and that having 9 make it to embryo does not mean we end up with 9 in the freezer) and his brother kept saying JUST DON'T HAVE 9 KIDS.

I start progesterone supplements tonight - any tips?

@bows22 I'm glad you spoke up and brought that to your boss's attention! Even happier that he understands. Hopefully he'll get a good plan in place for you guys. Typical LP length: Not sure because of the progesterone supplements

Testing: I tested this morning, because AF still hasn't shown up and it's been a week since stopping the progesterone. It was a BFN, of course, which is totally fine... I just want AF to arrive now!

R/R: I posted this in the IF thread but I'll give the cliff notes version here too - called my RE this morning about AF still not being here. They brought me in for bloodwork to check my estrogen and progesterone levels and mentioned that it could be a cyst...?! Ugh!!! I'll find out more this afternoon.

We can certainly resurrect that because I still do it hahaha So gross!! I take crinone though, they are vaginal suppositories. It says it's a gel but it looks more like a cream haha, I think they need to revisit the definition of what "gel" is. Anywho.... every 3 days or so, while I'm in the shower, I would scoooooooooop out the extra gel cream that didn't get absorbed. @mokay19 (I think I have the right person this time hahaha) is the one that brought this technique to my attention. I'm not sure how endometrin works though...?

Also, I am beyond grateful for you, friend! You've been there for me through so much so far and I couldn't have gotten through any of it without you.

@bows22 hubby is working from home today... Nothing super special planned that I'm aware of but I'm excited for an excuse to spend extra time together. Happy Valentine's Day!

@mvt2003 I don't understand IVF either but I'm praying and hoping you get pregnant with a... Manageable... Number of babies. ☺️

@fitzfizz I wouldn't buy pregnancy tests from someone I know either. Too many people think it's easy to get and stay pregnant so they assume if you're testing you'll be announcing soon.

AFM - the RE called. Turns out I do have a cyst. My estrogen levels were pretty elevated at 473. She said that AF should arrive in about 2 weeks and then the cyst would be gone and everything will go back to normal. I read that Clomid can increase your chances of getting an ovaian cyst, and the only thing I did differently this cycle was switch to Clomid. womp!

@bows22 Family day is just a stat day we get off in Canada every Feb just so that people don’t have to work and can spend more time with their family doing anything they like. It’s pretty awesome lol 😁 Just spending time with your loved ones.

@kpearse99 sorry for your cyst and that you have to wait 2 weeks for AF to come Womp. Least your cyst will go after then so that’s good news.

@legallykate yea, they said that the cyst is making my estrogen super high and that once the estrogen drops (I guess meaning that the cyst goes away) than AF will arrive 🤷🏻‍♀️

@legallykate Literally my first month as a "real doctor" I went to the grocery store late at night to buy cat litter and vodka. The only teller was a patient I had seen that week to discuss how he needs to decrease drinking. So FRERs and beer wouldn't have been my weirdest experience haha

@kpearse99 BOO cysts. My doctor thinks I had one last cycle but I don't want to believe it so I'm pretending my 70+ day cycle was normal. Super healthy. Fingers crossed yours doesn't last that long, and you can get back in the saddle so to speak on a few weeks. I say drink up and eat ALLLL the sushi.

@mindyb2019 I may just declare a family day for my family some random Wednesday soon. Sounds awesome.

@BLuvsE. I second that hope for Disney tips! I love Disney. My grandparents used to take all the grandkids every four years when we were kids. But now many of the kids are married, so it gets a lot more expensive. My grandfather is also in poor health, so even though that is his favorite place in the world, he can't really travel too well. Someday soon hopefully my parents might continue the tradition of bringing the grandkids.

@dobiemom11 my grandmother LOVES Disney but can't really go anymore. It's bittersweet going without her. Last time, we drove so we could stop at her house on the way down and back. We live in Atlanta so it's just 8 hours and she's halfway, so it broke up the trip.
