My body hates coffee and I can't drink it even not pregnant without getting the shakes and throwing it all back up, but tea is my weakness lol, @dolewhipper, Teavana brand is amazing, they have bottled brews and home brew blends, their citrus lavender and spicy ginger peach are my absolute favorites! I've been contemplating dropping $40 on sanctuary chai decaf... It's the healthiest chai I've ever found and I'm way too. obsessed
I'm a bit over 6 weeks and don't really feel any symptoms except sore boobs. However, started experiencing weird food aversions. My husband made roasted chicken with rosemary and squash. I really liked this recipe last time he made it and asked to make it again on Friday. I happily ate it that night and we had some leftovers. On Sunday, thought, I couldn't even think about eating it again I had something else for dinner on Sunday but just couldn't eat that chicken! Anyone else experiencing weird food aversions?
At almost 5 weeks I’m just dealing with insomnia which leads to feeling tired. I didn’t feel much else until 8 weeks with DD. I’m surprised I haven’t gotten any weird dreams. I remember some really crazy vivid dreams with my last pregnancy. I’m just excited that I don’t have to do litter boxes for the next 8 months plus breastfeeding time!

I eat eggs almost every morning for breakfast...yesterday they made me gaggy. Need to find a new breakfast food that isn’t carbs...
@kmalls the exhaustion is killing me too! I let my 2 and 3 year old play with chalk and a giant chalkboard on my living room floor while watching Toy Story 4 so I could doze on the couch while my 6 month old napped yesterday.
I’m also having nausea and the meat and coffee aversions have started for me this week and I’m sad. I can’t wait for second tri so I can enjoy chicken and coffee again! Till then it’s a lot of Mac and cheese, pasta, and salad.
My 6month old has torticollis and plagiocephaly and is currently doing PT for it and wearing a helmet. We went for a check up yesterday with her orthotic specialist and her helmet comes off in two weeks! I’m so excited!! She’s done so well with it!! ❤️
@the6ixgirl all the food aversions. I really hope mine aren't as bad as my first pregnancy, for a week all I could eat were rice and beans.
@cmessamore yay for getting the helmet off! My daughter never needed one, and I can understand they're probably a pain, but I think babies who get them are so dang cute in them
Today I get to try and hide my very apparent nausea and constant eating from my boss (I work remotely and don't see her often). I not ready to tell her quite yet as Im up for a promotion and don't want it to cloud her judgement.
I am a rage monster. I was way madder about my TW than necessary and later yesterday something else happened that made me rage. Definitely mood swinging over here.
Also, had a terrifying dream that I had triplets and instead of them being tiny babies when they came out they were wasps?! Supposedly as they grew they were going to turn human. Anyway, I was terrified to go near them! Lol. So weird dreams over here too.
HOLY NAUSEA. Hit me like a ton of bricks this morning. Just in time to calm me down since yesterday I was in a bit of a dark place stressing out about the long wait until my first ultrasound. Still contemplating moving my appointment to the end of next week for peace of mind, but also trying to stay relaxed for my own sake (and the baby's, and my family's...).
@MJDsquared I don't have twins in my family but I know chances are a bit higher when you are older and I am terrified of the possibility (even though it's remote - yup, full irrationality here).
Someone on Instagram posted about these journals she writes for her kids and it made me bawl. So you can say that emotions are high!
I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow, haven't had a ton of nausea yet, mostly just this bleh I'm not hungry at all, don't feel great but not necessarily like I'm gonna puke either feeling a couple times a day for the past 5 days or so. Also I'm tired and my boobs are crazy sore. They were not ready for this haha. Also weird dreams here and there.
I feel like nobody is complaining about being bloated? Am I the only one? I feel like a giant gas bubble. It has caused me to already consider starting to wear maternity pants.

Avacado maybe? Or trail mix? Trail mix with a ton of nuts got me through my first tri with DS. Cottage cheese was a major hit until it wasn’t with my DD.
@AB518 yesss. So much bloat. I was supposed to go to IKEA while DS is in school, but instead I’m going to be shopping for pants. My pants that fit me last week are too snug!
@babs02 the app is trash, but seems to be working for me this week. When it’s not working I’ll load the website on chrome using the desktop version of the site.
I’m so glad to hear the gassiness and bloating isn’t just in my head. I’m also on the nothing sounds good so I’m just eating because I know I need to. I saw a dietician yesterday to try and get some guidance.
Anyone else having crazy breakouts? I feel like I’m a teenager again.
@babycakesday My skin was terrible with my first pregnancy! It also made me feel like a teenager. I haven't had any breakouts so far this pregnancy, but I am waiting for it to happen since it is still early.
I had a meltdown last night...over cinnamon rolls. I was out with my dad and DD at archery, and unbeknownst to me, she was getting a bow upgrade, which meant we were there an hour later than usual. I was exhausted and trying not to show it, but I was supposed to finish making cinnamon rolls for my coworkers when I got home. I asked DH to get them started, and he called back after accidentally using the wrong spice on all of them. They were ruined. I laughed hysterically over the phone, then began weeping. In public. I had to run outside and had a full wholly irrational ugly cry. My wonderful DH (who I wasn't mad at, and didn't blame in the least) went out to the store for more ingredients and stayed up till midnight making a whole new batch. Then I cried hysterically about how much I loved him.
@the6ixgirl, with my last pregnancy, I could no longer eat, nor talk about, nor even think about one of my previously favorite meals until I was several months postpartum. Ironically, it was a chicken, butternut squash, pesto meal. It has been my one and only food aversion over 3 pregnancies.
@Babs022 honestly its a joke how bad the app is. I sent them a complaint email, they said they are working on it. Probably waste of my time but it made me feel better. I always have to check at work on desktop or get my laptop out. Though the app was semi functional this week a bit.
I'm feeling the opposite of the food aversions group. I mean some stuff doesn't sound amazing but I am mostly burying my upset stomach with comfort foods. If I stay full I feel way less sick. Unfortunatly the meals involve few veggies, I'm starting off pretty unhealthy but its survival mode at this point. Enchiladas, fried rice, biscuits and gravy, I'm here for it all.
@Smelh324 I’ve been around the bump app for 4 years and it has yet to really get much better unfortunately.
I had morning sickness with both of my other pregnancies so I know it’s pretty inevitable that it will show it’s ugly head sometime soon. For now I’ve been eating all the things.
I feel like I'm constantly freezing. Thermostat is set the same as it's always been. Anyone else? I also get hot super quickly too, but 90% of the time I'm shivering.
@MJDsquared I’m cold all the time. Except when I wake up, somehow I get boiling hot while I’m sleeping. I don’t remember this happening last pregnancy, but it was the summer so maybe that’s why.
@MJDsquared I am freezing all the time!! I am a naturally warm person usually, but I am now constantly cold. We do keep the house around 68 which is usually perfect, but these days I'm wearing a sweater or sweatshirt, even to bed.
@NME44 Thank your sharing I had to explain my husband that for some magical reason I can't eat this chicken recipe anymore. I actually think that I start getting aversion to chicken in general.
I think my body has hard time regulating the temperature. Sometimes I'm freezing, sometimes I'm really hot. I'm carrying a hoodie with me everywhere in the office.
My heartburn has already set in! It happened with DD early and never went away. With DS I didn’t really have any. I already had a gut feeling this baby was a girl and now I’m even more convinced. DH and I already have a bet going. I guessed correctly on my last two so I’m going for three for three!
Anyone else have weird gut feelings with random reasonings?
@JLaVO888 I also have a gut feeling I’m having a girl and was correct with my last two pregnancies. But I generally am not someone who gets gut feelings.

My face is so dry and itchy! It started with just a couple small dry patches but today it's way worse, so I figured it must be pregnancy related. Google confirmed it. I had no idea before today.
@JLaVO888, I’ve had a gut feeling all three pregnancies on sex of the baby and I’ve been right every time. I’m feeling boy for this one already, but my husband might be influencing me.
Adding another symptom I’m having in case anyone has any insight.
I’m having some aching across my lower abdomen. Not cramps. Just...aching. I feel like I’ve experienced it before and I’m *pretty sure* it’s normal but it feels awfully early to be feeling uterine stretching. However, this is my 5th pregnancy, so I suppose it’s possible symptoms would show up earlier. Curious if anyone is already feeling this?
Re: Randoms: Week 2/9-2/15
and after food I usually get a stomach ache.
