Started this solely for me b/c my coworker is pissing me off today. I'm working on this project that is 85% complete at this point, and this one guy has been complaining about the cost of it (too high) since the start. It is what it is, everyone has signed off on it (himself included), whatever. Well now today he wants to make the retail packaging fancier and add a replacement part in the box too. Ok so make it more high end and include another item. BUT... he doesn't want to see a cost increase. He does this crap all the time, and I just can't deal with it today.
@stlbuckeye132 I thought, for a split second, you created a thread specifically for talking about the my breast friend pillow and I was like, "uhhh... I like her and all, but I'm not sure this is necessary"
My main MBF is the weather in my area. It rained almost all of last week, and now it's supposed to rain most of this week. Like, cold and dreary rain.
My weekend bitchfest is about this lender that DH and I were supposed to talk to about our mortgage application. First the guy was sick (not his fault), then his pregnant wife had to go to triage (also not his fault), then he texted me to set up a call on Saturday afternoon. He told me he was free between 1:30-4pm. I said let's do 1:30 (since I knew DD would be napping so me and DH could both participate). He said great as he was also trying to work around his son's nap. A little before 1:30 he texts me and says can we do 2pm, he has to get his so something to eat. I say sure... 2pm rolls around and nothing. He says can we do closer to 2:30pm, I say sure but am getting pissed because I was trying to get to the store while DD was napping and now I'll have to go after she wakes up (which will mean a meltdown from her when I leave). He doesn't end up calling until 3:15pm, at which point DD is up and apparently woke up on the wrong side of the crib and threw a tantrum for about 30 minutes straight because I wouldn't let her eat her snack on the couch. Meanwhile DH had to have the convo in the kitchen over the sound of a screaming toddler and then had to relay all the information to me afterwards. Grrrr.
@meanjellybean we must be in the same area, or just happen to have the same weather. I am so tired of the dreariness and cold rain. It's making me feel so sluggish and meh. Also wtf to that lender.
This is half MBF and half TWT. My sister and I do not have a very good relationship. It’s only gotten worse in the past two years since I had DD, and now have another coming. She very clearly does not want to be involved- she lives 20 minutes away but came over once when I was on bed rest for 11 weeks, sees DD maybe once every 2-3 months if I set it up, never calls to see how she is doing or I am for that matter. So I’ve pretty much just written her off. But my mom thinks she’s the best aunt ever and they both say I am keeping DD from her. Uh no. So yesterday when we found out the sex, I figured it would just be best to send a group text to my family to tell them. Because had I told my parents and done something fun to surprise them, I would have been “excluding her” (pardon me while I go gag, we are grown adults, not in pre-k). So I sent the group text. And trust me, I wasn’t expecting much, if anything. She liked my comment. That was it. No congratulations, no oh wow it’s a boy, nothing. Just a thumbs up. And my mom wonders why I don’t include her in things....
@blaf322 not that I know of. She told me she was fine in the fertility department. But we don’t really talk about it. She knows that we struggled with IF, but none of the specifics of what we dealt with and our miscarriages.
It's not Monday anymore but came her to complain that my coworker keeps talking about her dog licking it's butt. It's been 2 days. To me, to someone coming in the room, to people on the phone. She just keeps bringing it up! I can see she's just concerned but I'm over here eating my yogurt and don't want to think about your dogs butt.
Again with it not being Monday, but I just learned that the nurse I sat next too in report yesterday AM tested positive for influenza A after working 4 hours then going home 😠 if you feel that bad. Don’t come to work.
@nursejenn5 that is the worst! It happens all over my building, drives me absolutely insane. I know we are understaffed, but you infecting everywhere is not going to fix the staffing shortage! I hope you come out unscathed.
@blaf322 yup who knows. But even still, not being able to muster up a congrats text. But whatever, I have learned to live with it.
@nursejenn5 ugh! We had that issue here too (at a school). The band teacher was at school Friday, then that afternoon posted on FB "confirmed Influenza A results". Then he was back at school on Monday! He had a band concert Monday night so "wanted to power through". I'm like no... you are risking the health of ALL of us, especially your students!

re: weather.... last week, it was 70 on Monday, tornados in the area on Thursday, and snowed on Saturday. WTF NC?!
