Upcoming appointments: Wednesday for a Fetal Echo. Then 2/24 for a regular OB check up.

How are you feeling? Ok. Hip trouble and heartburn fun. I'd take a nap whenever too.

Raves/Rants: Had a nice weekend celebrating DDs birthday! Everything was low key but I know DD had fun.

    Questions: Not really.

GTKY: What's the funniest way you've been injured? Two-inch years ago I was seeing a chiro for shoulder/neck and had just really started getting better. Well I managed to slip on a kids book bag, did a split and caught myself with the bad arm somehow. I guess I don't know how funny it was but 30 teenagers were laughing.
  • @jrouge12 happy birthday to your DD! And good luck at the echo!
@catem07 I feel you so hard on the tired, I just want to feel normal for a day at this point.

    EDD/weeks+days: 5/24/24+1

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue!

Baby is the size of a(n): the cheese fries from Mean Girls

Upcoming appointments: tomorrow PT and Friday for 24 week appointment and the scheduling of the glucose test (BOO)

How are you feeling? I am tired, I am not sleeping well at all and I am thinking about asking my doc about unisom or something similar, it is not even getting up to pee it is just waking up every couple of hours and not falling asleep well. Also BH are getting annoying already, nothing consistent or timeable but I notice them at least once an hour.

Raves/Rants: My boss is back part time from maternity leave and I am so happy! Also I am so excited for dinner tonight it smells amazing already. And my nesting has kicked in, everything is getting reorganized and cleaned because I get home and feel like I need to move stuff around.

    Questions:

GTKY: What's the funniest way you've been injured? Oddly enough @catem07 drunk and fell off of the Tahoe we were dancing on, it hurt like hell but I was so drunk it didn't matter until the next day. Or the time my horse threw me and I flipped in the air and landed sitting on the jump facing him and we just looked at each other.
  • @catem07 I'm a side sleeper normally but now that I don't have the option, I only to sleep on my back. I feel you on the le tired.

@mamaj1220 I'd take some of your nesting at my house. I've gotten some things done, but when I actually have time naps and Netflix win 90% of the time.
  • @jrouge12 why can't you sleep on your side?

@mamaj1220 I guess it's like they told us, alcohol and vehicles don't mix...
    DD #1: April 2017
    DD #2: May 2020
Baby #3: EDD May 2023; MC October 2022

  • @catem07 Oh no I do, but I'm just so uncomfortable when not pregnant me would be just fine. My hips hurt all night no matter what I prop between my legs.

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink

Baby is the size of a(n): cantelope

Upcoming appointments: Friday - normal prenatal appt

How are you feeling? i'm doing okay. backpain, along with some odd lower abdominal cramping/discomfort which isn't great feeling and i'll bring it up to my OB.

Raves/Rants: Rave: we had a great superbowl party yesterday!
Rant: We have a wedding coming up at the end of Feb. I'll be 27 weeks, and the wedding is in iceland. I'm getting nervous about it. being in a different country while being pregnant is tough enough as it is, and it's also the first time i'm going to be away from my kiddos for that long and i'm afraid they are going to be really upset about it. I'm just all around nervous about the whole thing even though i want to look forward to it.

    Questions:

GTKY: What's the funniest way you've been injured? Not sure how funny, but one time i flipped my hair over a towel i had drying off my back after a shower, and gave myself whiplash. I couldn't move my neck for a week and had to be put on muscle relaxers!

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: pink!

Baby is the size of a(n): cauliflower @mamaj1220 what app are you using for your hilarious size ofs???

Upcoming appointments: Feb 27 checkup and glucose challenge

How are you feeling? Anxiety is making it hard to fall asleep at a reasonable hour. I'm also experiencing some lower abdomen discomfort on my left side - @mamaqdubu not sure if it's anything like yours. I've just been attributing it to round ligament pain and it's at the base of my stomach on the left side near where it joins my hip. I think it's worse when I'm very sedentary, but I feel it when I move in bed, put on my shoes, pants, socks, etc. Otherwise physically I'm feeling pretty good, nothing too bothersome. My mood today is really meh though.

Raves/Rants: things are falling into place for our move, which is a big relief. But there's still so much to do/figure out and time is getting short! Feeling kind of overwhelmed today and like I don't have it in me to respond much on the other threads.

    Questions:

GTKY: What's the funniest way you've been injured? I feel boring, I don't think I have anything. I'll think about it.

Edit: trying to fix a tag
  • EDD/weeks+days: 24w2d

Baby is the size of a(n): eggplant

Upcoming appointments: tomorrow for routine visit, probably schedule a growth ultrasound and glucose test

How are you feeling? i guess ok?  add me to the poor sleep group.  i've been trying to find a combination of pillows that work, and i think i'm overheating, and suddenly DH takes up SOOOO much room.  and this little critter likes to move a lot at night!  the kick location changes all the time but at night it seems to be right suprapubic, which is the hardest to ignore.

Raves/Rants: viability- can't complain!!  we finally told our parents.  turns out DH's family "knew/suspected" for a while, which i can't blame them for, but when we finally told them i kind of expect them to fake their surprise and be excited, instead they were sort of "we know" and irritated.  unpleasant for sure.

    Questions: nah

GTKY: What's the funniest way you've been injured? as a kid i got out of an in-ground pool just by climbing up the side, put my foot directly into an open skimmer, fell and skinned my knee pretty bad.  one of my most noticeable scars.

  • @lisush the what to expect app but I changed it to movie props because it makes me laugh.

Also it just hit me that this is my last "monthly" visit and I will be at bi-weekly soon and that is terrifying me.
  • @catem07😂 Le tired! Felling you on that one, but I can’t seem to turn my brain off before midnight all week. Then I can’t wake up in the morning. No bueno.

@jrouge12 Glad the echo went mostly well even if they do still want a follow up. How old is DD now?

@mamaj1220 I was also wondering where you were getting the hilarious sizes...now I need to watch Mean girls to recall the size of the cheese fries

@mamaqdubu A wedding in Iceland sounds so cool!!! I can definitely see how that would also be crazy stressful with leaving your LOs behind for the first time AND being in another country. IDK if FaceTiming them daily would be more helpful or hurtful, but at least international FaceTime is free on WiFi!

@lisush So glad that everything is falling into place for the move! It’ll be here before you know it

@sevenn Sorry to hear you didn’t get the excited reaction that you were hoping for with your announcement. I hope it doesn’t put a damper on your own excitement

    EDD/weeks+days: 5/19, 25+2

    Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue

Baby is the size of a(n): Cauliflower

Upcoming appointments: Just had 2 this week. Echo was Monday, all good. 25 week appt Wednesday also all good. Next up is March 5th

How are you feeling? I feel really good and I almost feel bad to say that since it seems like everyone is not having so much fun right now

Raves/Rants: Rave: I’m trying to find gratitude in the little things this week, like the fact that we will get a tax return this year after unexpectedly owing a lot last year. I’m sure everyone has seen about my cat’s health issues this week. I don’t have the emotional energy to re-hash it as a rant here. I greatly appreciate everyone’s kind words

Questions: Anyone else starting to feel uncomfortable from the slightest leaning forward? I noticed my abdomen felt so full and uncomfortable just from the slight lean forward to brush my teeth tonight

GTKY: What's the funniest way you've been injured? In high school I sprained an ankle while playing “toilet tag” during track practice

  • @mamaj1220 I'm not ready to switch to bi-weekly appointments soon either! 😳

@sunshinesea22 A sassy 4! Good to hear your echo went well too! I'm not sure what toilet tag is? Haha!
  • @jrouge12 to me it feels really because at 20 weeks with DS1, I went to high risk and was weekly for half my pregnancy so I am all thrown off!

My new OB doesn't do bi-weekly appointments at all unless you're high risk. So I'm still monthly until 36 weeks and then once a week from 37-40.

@jrouge12 Toilet tag is only the most Sophisticated of all tag games. Once tagged, one must assume a “toilet” position, essentially a squat with one arm extended in front. To be unfrozen, another player must sit on your “toilet” and flush it. It’s pretty ridiculous but also hilariously fun.
    edit: words
  • @sunshinesea22 How have I never heard of this game? Hahaha!
