Re: Weekly Randoms 2/3-2/9

  • So frustrated! My physical therapist just tried to change my appointment time today without asking me or even telling me. Same day I might add and only a few hours before ugh WTF. I called and said I couldn’t come earlier that I had appointments up until that time. Am I crazy for thinking that is not okay?
  • @allthingscozy wait.... they changed the time WITHOUT calling you to discuss it with you? That's not okay at all!

  • @allthingscozy you’re not crazy - that would piss me right off.
  • @kpearse99 and @krystrist2014 yup appointment was supposed to be at 12:20 got the reminder yesterday. Got an email 30 minutes ago saying my appointment was changed to 11:40... that crap doesn’t fly with me.
  • @whitealbum29 omg yes that was me 😂 just the other day there was a weird one where they resurrected a zombie thread on the 2nd Tri board.

And while it's at the top of my head, people think our TTGP board is bad, but MAN do people get really opinionated sometimes on the Baby Name board.

@kpearse99 yup your done. Go home! 😉

ugh, we have a severe storm warning and a tornado watch this afternoon and tonight. Did I mention I have a phobia of tornados? I know it’s not likely and it’s only a watch but it doesn’t help my anxiety. 😰
  • @krystrist2014 ever since seeing the movie Twister my anxiety skyrockets anytime our sirens go off! I don't know how people can live in torado alley 😱

  • @inthewoods23 if you want to get some of that need to call out stark white pee sticks out...

head over to Countdown to Pregnancy. They have a photo gallery where user upload tests to use tools and you can vote on if the test is positive or negative.

Use caution if having a hard TTC day because there are some doozies over there.

  • @inthewoods23 yes, I dont know how I would fare in tornado ally! Though I do think that I might get more desensitized to it if i lived with more consistent threat. haha
  • @allthingscozy I'm glad you got to keep your original time. That's some crap they didn't ask you about changing time.
@inthewoods23 and @krystrist2014 I used to live in Kansas and have relatives who, until last month, lived in Oklahoma. Tornado warnings and tornados themselves weren't at all uncommon growing up so I just learned to live with it. I slept through a tornado touching down a few blocks from my dad's house when I was 11. It was never super scary for me, but for people who aren't used to that I could only imagine how terrified they'd be.

  • I kind of miss the snark from from the past. I also was remembering when the bump gods got ban happy haha it was crazy.
  • @mvt2003 started listening to Your Own Backyard today! Very well done. I’m only on episode 2 but I’m enraged at the campus police not doing anything for DAYSSSSSS!
  • @krystrist2014 Episode 2 gave me a lot of emotions! I listened to most of the podcast while I was running and all I could think about was being an 18 year old girl and how many guys gave me creepy vibes and how many situations I have been in as a young woman where I felt just slightly off. And I started thinking how today I would say eff this and walk away, but 18 year old me absolutely would and did not, and I am so freaking lucky.

  • @inthewoods23 Usually at the ones here they have them where you pick up your sandwich but you have to like - reach down behind where they sit your sandwich to get one. Maybe you aren’t supposed to do that but I don’t understand why they aren’t out in the open
  • @inthewoods23. At ours, there are some where you pick up your sandwich, but they are on the inside of the counter.  So you have to reach over into the sandwich making area to get them.  As a microbiologist, I am like the public's hands shouldn't go over there, but if you make me.
  • @mvt2003 girl, yes!!!! I’m on Ep3 now. I am so angry at the police and campus police for all of their missteps. My brain cannot compute that this guy walked free. I googled what this a-hole looks like and saw today’s breaking news!!!! Lord let there be justice soon!!!
@inthewoods23 100% JJ has no idea why an adequate number of napkins is. It was a topic of conversation every time my old coworker and I used to order.
  • @mvt2003 and I 100% can relate. If there’s 1 thing I wish ALL young girls/women could know beyond a doubt it would be to trust your gut feelings and never feel bad for removing yourself from any truly uncomfortable situation no matter the consequence.
  • @krystrist2014 My department at work is all into podcasts so we share recs, and my boss sent me the news article before I even saw it! :D

  • @bows22 it is...finally!! I no longer have to furiously hit refresh, this is amazing!!

  • @kpearse99 I’m so sorry. I hate their stupid ad algorithms with a fiery passion.
  • @kpearse99. My Pandora is the worst for that.  Sorry for the extra reminders!

Before I got married, it was all wedding stuff.  After I got married, it was all baby stuff.  Since I wasn't pregnant after a few years (how it creepy found that out, I don't even want to know), then all these fertility ads.  After I still wasn't pregnant, Catholic Match was on there.  Apparently since we have been married ten years and no baby, I need a new man!  Like what!!
  • @kpearse99 @dobiemom11 YEP! I get ads for fertility clinics now! I’ve already got one, thanks. 🙄

  • Ad algorithms make no sense to me! Like, I just bought a robot vacuum (and you clearly know that I did), so why do you think I care about more of them? I don't need more than the one. I do find it slightly humorous though that facebook currently thinks my two main needs are the Ava bracelet and breastfeeding clothing. I can't really think of any situation where someone would need both ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
