Trying to Get Pregnant

  • @dobiemom11 thank you! I appreciate that! Yes I don’t know what it is about rain that makes traffic so terrible. I hope your busy day helps you feel more like yourself.
  • @bows22. Okay...I might be giving people more of a pass today with tornado and flood warnings.  I am waiting to get my car worked on and they said a tornado was seen a few miles from here.

I think having a reason to get out of bed is critical to my success.  Like...you need to shower and be somewhere. Not the best situation, but I am working on it.
  • @bows22. Thanks for the support!
  • Month/Cycle: 5/8

CD/DPO: CD25/ 12dpo I believe (I just started using FF and my period dates I’ve been tracking I realized I didn’t always have start and end

    Timing: pretty good this cycle.

Typical LP length: still up in the air with these crazy cycles

Testing: I want to wait because usually I test and then I get my period the next day but I’m feeling antsy so I may test this morning.

R/R: feeling a little overwhelmed in trying to learn all the lingo and timing but it’s been so helpful.  Rant is this stupid app! It used to be so good now it’s so glitchy.

CS/Q: using FF but not doing charting other than entering period stuff so far

  • @bows22 yay! Also I figure BMB tens to get over stuff that happens early on.
@dobiemom11 thinking of you today. I so get the needing to have a reason to get going. Way to keep trekking. Also stay safe tornado and flooding?! Yikes.
@kpearse99 new sheets are always awesome :)

We have two great horned owls that have taken residence behind our house. They are so loud they woke me up a few times but it was really cool listening to then
  • @allthingscozy we used to have an owl's nest in a tree right outside of our bedroom window when we first moved it. It sucked! haha I feel your pain! I'm such a light sleeper that I hear just about everything!

  • @kpearse99. I did not get that impression at all!  Even in the few months I have been here, I have seen such amazing support for all the women on here.  I also appreciate how protective everyone is.  TTGP is an exciting, stressful, emotional, frustrating journey and I have only been on it for a short time.  So it is nice to have a place to be supported and vent and be authentically honest (we hope).

@kpearse99. Fingers crossed for you tomorrow.  Thinking and cheering for you!
Also about these sheets?  My DH has a sheet that he has had since college because he gets so hot while sleeping.  We were just talking about needing to find another one for him.  What brand and where did you get them from?
  • @allthingscozy isn't that usually how it works? You test and then BAM... AF arrives. ugh! If you need help with any of the "lingo" just ask! We'll help you out :)

  • @dobiemom11 so DH and I (literally) spent our Sunday morning researching bed sheets  :D  We found these youtube review videos of many different kinds of sheets before we decided to buy the ones from Brooklinen and ones from Layla.  The Brooklinen arrived yesterday, so those are the ones we slept on last night and the Layla ones will arrive tomorrow. The ones from Purple were also on our list but we went with the other two instead.

I think this is one of the youtube videos we watched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXn_irxA8sg we watched another one or two from the same person. They were very informative!

  • Tested because I’m dumb and of course it’s stark white.. ugh well at least AF will likely come today or tomorrow now 😂😭
  • @bows22 hurray for your first TWW in a while!! Your timing looks beautiful! Happy to see you over here! I was lurking the October board last night so I either missed the drama somehow or it happened late last night or early this AM. For whatever reason, I can’t see the Oct20 board from the app so now I have something to look forward to lurking when I get home! Lol

@dobiemom11 sorry you’ve been down. Sounds like therapy will be helpful today. I hope you start feeling better soon. ❤️

@kpearse99 sending all the positive thoughts to you for a peaceful mind leading up to good beta results! The bedsheets sound awesome! MH gets warm at night also and requires a the room to be cool and to have a fan blowing directly at him. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Maybe I should look into better sheets!

Edited because I can’t math and put down wrong CD

  • @krystrist2014 hahaha so glad you got filters last night! We did NOT want you to have a repeat of yesterday! How did the rest of your day yesterday go, BTW? I never thought I'd spend this much money on bed sheets, but I have a feeling it's really going to be worth it. And I figure that sleep is something we NEED so splurging is justified!

  • Totally agree on the justification for good sheets! Especially since MH has blamed lack of sleep on not wanting to BD during FW. I need him rested and healthy!
The rest of the day was actually not bad... work was fairly busy and I treated myself to lunch at my favorite salad place since I planned to stay late to catch up on time missed from being late yesterday and having taken off for an appointment on Tuesday. 😊

I tested again today and posted my results in the What Does a Postitive Pregnancy Test Look Like? thread along with my reasoning for not graduating just yet. I'm convinced, but MH is not, and it's still so early that I don't want to rule out a CP just yet.

R/R: I am a busy lady today, hence why I'm posting late. Had a super long (and frustrating) meeting this morning, and have another one to go to this afternoon, which means I'll be working through my lunch break. But, that's okay, it happens sometimes. At least it's trivia night tonight!

  • @bluetickgal FX that the snow doesn’t make too much of a mess for y’all!
    @ttcbabyodo yay for trivia night!
  • @dobiemom11 hahaha okay tornadoes and floods are a valid excuse I suppose

@kpearse99 This is my favorite part of the TWW. Just happy the sex is done and thrilled that I have a chance at October. Those sheets sound amazing! We bought a new comforter that we thought was lightweight and we keep waking up hot. Maybe we need to check out these sheets!

@allthingscozy ugh I’m so sorry for the BFN!

@krystrist2014 you probably just missed it!

@bluetickgal ohhh I hope you get a snow day from work! Or that it’s not as bad as they say. That middle ground of snow where the roads are bad, traffic is a mess, but you are still expected to be at work is the worst
  • @bows22 we'll be investing in a new comforter next, for hot sleepers... I've heard great things about the one from Buffy.

  • @ttcbabyodo hope your busy day isn’t too bad, and yay for getting to end it with trivia!
@kpearse99 @bows22 @krystrist2014 thanks ladies!! I’m guessing it’s more likely to taper off and be very little...but I would not be sad at all about a free Friday off!! I know there are rain dances, but are snow dances a thing?!

  • Thanks everyone. With the inconsistency of my cycles I’m going to hold out hope until AF arrives.
@linzrunz I’m sorry therapy didn’t go the greatest give yourself time. Or even ask to talk about something different that is okay :) do you use the Insight Timer app? I use it often for grounding and mindfulness they have some great guided meditations that usually help lift my spirits

@bluetickgal that gif made me smile!
@t@ttcbabyodo enjoy trivia! That sounds fun!
  • @linzrunz I’m so sorry your therapy appointment was disappointing. That’s so frustrating. When is your next appointment? I hope you don’t have to wait too long

  • @mvt2003 what can I say? I'm a hot mess!!!  :D

@linzrunz ugh, I was really hopeful that you would get some peace and clarity and zen from your session yesterday. I'm sorry it left you feeling worse. I feel like that's not how these things are supposed to work!! Try and do something nice for yourself today or tomorrow <3

  • @allthingscozy I have the app on my phone but didn’t even think to use it. My anxiety is high again today so maybe I’ll try that today. I do yoga but maybe going something solely for the mental part would be beneficial.

@mvt2003 I’ve stretched a lot but tbh I’ve avoided the foam roller because ow. But I think I’ll go do that.

@bows22 I go every two weeks so it’s not too long. Trying to focus on yoga and now meditation to help until then.

@legendairymomma hope your eye appt helps! When I get more headaches I usually call the eye doc cuz it means my prescription has changed. Do you have glasses or contacts now?

@kpearse99 Thanks friend. I was really disappointed because my sessions are usually so good and I love my therapist. But I think I was in a mood that no matter what, nothing would help.

  • @linzrunz ugh, I’m sorry about your appointment. Do you have another next week? If it were me I’d focus on the next one and maybe even make a little list of things a that are bothering me/that I’d like to discuss to bring with me to ensure I come away feeling productive from the next one.
@legendairymomma yikes! Take your vision seriously, especially if you are also having headaches. I had a bad experience with ignoring it before. 😬
@mvt2003 yes exactly! I have to do it the night before too.... but I seriously thought MH had just put them away somewhere weird and definitely wasn’t expecting the answer the next morning to be “the dog ate them”. LOL.
  • @krystrist2014 I go back in two weeks. That’s a good idea to make a list. My therapist is really trying to get me to journal so maybe I can start with that.
