@abarr723 best of luck with this next cycle! Hoping you can breeze right through Polyp free.
@nina205 sorry to hear about the cyst but glad they are letting you proceed this cycle. Fingers crossed for you! As for how to handle the BFP announcements, it's hard! I think everyone handles stuff a little differently, but here's my advice: 1) Tell your close friends about your IF treatments etc., that way if they do announce a BFP they might give you a heads up and do it more gently with you. 2) It is totally okay to take care of yourself by staying away from it when you need to. Some days I'm totally good and can handle going to a baby shower or looking at pics of my friend's 3 month old, other days I can't. It took me over a year of IF before I realized that I didn't have to do those things out of social obligation -- I was honest with my friends and they understood when I couldn't be there (physically or emotionally). That said, I've chosen not to tell a ton of people about our IF struggles because I tend to be a fairly private person. My work is FULL of pregnant people (people are joking "there must be something in the water") and we've had 3 more announcements in the last few weeks. I smile and congratulate them and am happy for them, but I don't hang around and participate in lots of baby talk. Instead I go hand with my couple of close friends who know what I'm going through and know when to change the subject so I don't cry! Giving myself space has helped me focus on our plan and what I need to do next for the BFP and helped me stay calmer. That, and venting here and with my close friends.
I
AFM -- I'm in holding pattern this week waiting anxiously for AF to start so we can get the IVF show on the road. Lots of logistics with setting appointments and stuff, but not a ton else going on at the moment IF wise for me.
QOTW: I try not to carry a purse most days. My phone has a hidden compartment that fits my license, insurance card, and a credit card so I usually roll with just that. However, when I do have a purse it always seems to have a million hair ties in it....it's like they multiply in there!
