Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: I have no idea!!! I am so bad at this!!! 🤦🏻♀️
Upcoming appointments: waiting to hear from the OB
How are you feeling? Some days good. Some days bad. Yesterday I didn’t take my unisome or B6 and I was sick all day. I thought by now I would be over the sickness!!!
Raves/Rants: Anxiety is kinda high because I have not heard back from the OB and right now I am not with a doctors office. I graduated from my RE last Wednesday!!!
Questions: Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? My favorite thing about Alabama is how it looks in the fall!!!
@Mamaof2beautifulgirls I used to live in Alabama and the fall is what I miss the most!! It is so beautiful!
EDD/weeks+days: July 25
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: FO
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: jalapeño!
Upcoming appointments: this afternoon. It’ll be a long ultrasound with the lovely vag cam to check baby’s umbilical cord and placental insertion (TW I guess- DD had a very rare umbilical cord/placental insertion abnormality that is fatal if not caught in utero. Chances of it happening again are one in a million, but they still will be over checking to be sure).
How are you feeling? I’m trying to get back into the swing of things after being on vacation all last week. Also cannot skip a day of unisom or will feel like crap and vomit all evening. I thought that would be better by now!
Raves/Rants: chai tea lattes are amazing
Questions: nada
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? It is mid January and it is supposed to be in the 70s the next two weeks. You cannot beat the “winter” weather in Arizona.
How are you feeling? Insanely anxious about my NIPT results. Tomorrow will be two weeks since I had the blood draw, which is in the range they said it’d take, but both other times I got it back a lot faster. I know I don’t have a logical reason to stress about it and everything is probably fine, but I’d love to put my mind at ease. I messaged my midwife this morning just in case there’s anything she can do to get them to me sooner.
Raves/Rants: My husband does not get the whole first trimester thing. He swings from being aggravated that I’m so tired and useless to getting very worried that there’s something really wrong with me. And he’s all over me about my diet, wanting to be sure I’m eating enough of the right things, while I have zero energy to even think about making food. He wasn’t like this the last two times, I think the recent loss is stressing him out a little too, though I don’t think he would make that connection.
Questions: Another anxiety thing I have right now is checking out my bump and wondering if it’s actually a bump and things are going okay, or if it’s all in my head. Hoping I feel a lot better after my appointment Friday, I don’t have the bandwidth for this extra anxiety.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? Oregon is just so green and beautiful (at least my part of the state). I don’t always appreciate it until I travel to other areas, or someone else comes and points it out, but it’s pretty great.
@Pascal86 my husband has been talking about my food etc as well. I’m like leave me alone. I’ll eat better when I can physically tolerate it. I don’t enjoy eating crud most of the time!
EDD/weeks+days: 7/26. 13w 1d
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: will find out!
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Lemon and get fit on a post it(I don’t like the “can fit on” comparisons though)
Upcoming appointments: NT u/s tomorrow! I’m super nervous
How are you feeling? Some days okay. Some days real bad. I woke up for my 2 am bathroom break today and thought I was gonna puke. Just felt horrible all around. Hoping for some relief in the next week or two! Really hating the slow digestion. When I eat dinner after work at 830. I still feel bloated/full/gross at 530 am when getting ready for work
Raves/Rants: the first trimester is a struggle. And I can’t even really tell people why I’m cranky and tired 😂 I’m also pretty sure I have the smallest tiny bump as well.
Questions: none for now.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? We get all four distinct seasons. Snow in winter, beautiful(sometimes rainy spring), hot sunny summers, and BEAUTIFUL falls. Being outside is my favorite thing. So I am thankful for the seasons (even through halfway through winter I’m begging for spring)
@Pascal86 DH has been getting on me about my crap food choices too. Just shut up, person without a baby gestating inside of you.
EDD/weeks+days: 13+ 2? 7/25
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Boy!
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Lemon/tube of lipstick 😂
Upcoming appointments: Routine OB appointment next week
How are you feeling? Slowly getting my energy back, here and there. I felt like an asshole this week for being a bit jealous that someone I know whose due the same week as me is having a girl. Very, very grateful for my second boy, but would love to have a daughter one day as well! We only plan to have one more baby, if we’re lucky enough. It was a self-indulging moment of “woe is me.” Now I’ve moved on and am happily looking up the cutest baby boy pajamas on Burt’s Bees Baby, my absolute favorite!
Raves/Rants: Super pumped to be feeling slightly better. I can *almost* brush my teeth in the mornings again 😂
Questions: never when I’m asked this question do I actually have a question
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? I live in NJ. Currently, my favorite thing is the halfway decent maternity leave, at least compared to most other states. It’s something I try not to take for granted, knowing that most don’t have any maternity leave.
In general though, I like having 4 seasons and I live within 10 minutes of the beach!
@kristinl492 and @nursejenn5 sorry you’re having to deal with food patrolling too! My good friend who just started her 3rd trimester was just telling me about how she was eating straight cookie dough from the store the other day, and her husband just gave her a polite smile and was like, “you do you, babe!” That’s the attitude I need right now!
Also, just got my NIPT results and all is good. I’m suspicious somebody just didn’t get around to hitting send, they came so soon after I messaged them. I was starting to assume they were waiting for a doctor to review weird results and would have to call me or something. I dreamed about it all last night, glad to have a little anxiety relief!
And yeah, my bump isn’t that bump like yet, but if I try to suck in, it looks like my non-pregnant belly when I’m putting out a tiny bit. As in, I can’t at all. So something’s definitely happening!
@Mamaof2beautifulgirls Congrats on graduating. Don't worry about the OB. They will call in time. To help with the anxiety you can set yourself a deadline, like if you haven't heard back by tomorrow evening give them a call.
@Pascal86 If it helps, I was exactly the same way with the anxiety. I just had to keep repeating to myself that there is no reason to suspect anything is wrong. Maybe mention that to YH too If you and @kristinl492 are taking prenatal vitamins, tell your husbands to back off. Baby is getting everything he/she needs.
@nursejenn5 Fx for your scan tomorrow. I'm sure everything will be fine
EDD/weeks+days: July 30th (updated today!)/12w4d
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Rooting for pink, but DH is green.
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Plum
Upcoming appointments: Had my 12 week u/s today! Meeting with the MD tomorrow.
How are you feeling? Tired and plagued by weird dreams.
Raves/Rants: Baby is healthy. Everything is in the normal range. They did the nuchal translucency scan during the u/s and baby is measuring well within healthy range. Talk about a weight lifted She was clenching her tiny fists (I've been referring to her as a she since I got my BFP) and I was thrilled. DH is a martial artist so I found it adorable that she was practicing her punches and kicks in there. She wouldn't move in the right position for the NT scan so I had to go pee. They make you drink water an hour previous to the appointment so I was very relieved to relieve myself. She looks like a real baby in there instead of just a jelly bean. Feeling more excited, but still hasn't quite settled in that there is a tiny 6cm human in there.
They updated my due date from the 31st to the 30th. Not a big difference, but I'm still clinging to my Harry Potter due date!
Questions: -
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the province you live in? My province is just gorgeous and there are beaches everywhere. In the winter, hiking through the woods in the snow is really quite magical. It is why I am a bit of an environmental nut. I want to protect my province (and my country) from damage.
@Pascal86 Glad you got some relief and good news! I had almost an opposite experience with my NIPT. Mine came back so fast that I was paranoid that something must be wrong. They told me 10 days but I got a call on the morning of the 7th day. All normal though!!
@meri-mac I’m due the 25th but so hoping for a Harry Potter birthday! I went 2 weeks past EDD with DS number 1, so going a week late doesn’t sound too bad to get a good birthday 😂
@kristinl492 mine usually calls if something is bad news, so I was bracing myself in case I saw their number show up! I do remember being very surprised last time when they got back to me within a week.
@meri-mac I am taking my pre-natal... but I’m also on a medication that can suppress folic acid absorption (though I’m on extra folic acid supplements and had my levels checked recently and they were above normal). I’m also a vegetarian and my last blood tests showed I was a bit anemic. So I’m taking an iron supplement now, but he wants me to eat some red meat occasionally and that’s been bugging me. So, the anxiety + his hassling isn’t helping! I’m doing the best I can!
U/S was good!! So far looks like the placenta is in a good place and the cord is inserting correctly. Another scan in 3 more weeks to check my cervical length and look again at the cord and then anatomy scan 3 weeks after that and they will look again. But if that’s all good, I might get to go 4-6 weeks before another scan! My cousin is also pregnant and due 2 weeks before me and it is so crazy when we talk the difference between a high risk pregnancy and an uncomplicated one. But hey, thank goodness for modern medicine.
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Lemon and has fingerprints
Upcoming appointments: Friday, regular OB appt
How are you feeling? Still nauseous off and on every day. I'm pretty sure I felt better by now with both prior pregnancies, but it's certainly less than it was a few weeks ago, so it's got to finish up sometime soon, right? I'm completely exhausted all the time, too.
Raves/Rants: Just tired of feeling like crap, and acting like a B without even thinking about it because of said feeling like crap. But also, one of my friends is having a baby any day now so I can't wait to see his squishy little newborn self!
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? We have pretty mild weather, so we get a great growing season for gardening

How are you feeling? Still nauseous and yesterday I didn’t take the b6/unisom because I wanted to see if I was capable of surviving without. Turns out I’m not. Also exhaustion out of nowhere recently.
Raves/Rants: Next week is my son’s first birthday which is hard to believe. I’m trying to get him off bottles and onto milk but he doesn’t seem to like it so that’s fun. He’s so close to taking steps which is exciting. Also I’m going to deal with insurance today and I’m just really looking forward to yelling at someone.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? Born and raised in Texas, and honestly it’s just the best. Everything you hear about obnoxious state pride is absolutely accurate but it’s truly one of my favorite things. I love how slow paced it is here; it’s just such a great place to raise a family. Yes, we have crazy one-sided folks who are antiquated in their beliefs but for the most part, it’s just good people.
How are you feeling? A little less tired lately. Still starving all the time.
Raves/Rants: We went for a private ultrasound on Friday and took DS with us. Baby was moving all over the place and DS was sooooo excited to see it! I'm glad we were able to do that with him.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? I live in Virginia. I love that there is so much history around us all the time. I think it'll be a pretty cool place for our kids to grow up and go to school. Field trips in school here are awesome! I also love that there are 4 actual seasons. I grew up in Louisiana and there was summer, and not quite summer.
EDD/weeks+days: July 26th/ 13w2d Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Green
Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact: Lemon Upcoming appointments: Had my first OB appt yesterday, and an ultrasound yesterday Won't be back to the doctor for like 5 weeks..
How are you feeling? Exhausted. Really relieved after the ultrasound yesterday, finally got to see our nugget.
Raves/Rants: I'm so hungry all of the time, but have been eating mostly cereal and crackers and cheese. I've started packing 2 lunches for my like 7 hour work day lol.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? I've really only ever lived in my current province so I don't really have anything to compare it too. I like the scenery in my city, it's known as the city of lakes so in the summer it's great. My biggest complaint is the 6 months of winter (I live in northern Ontario).
@kc0711 congrats on the good u/s! @meri-mac I have been having THE weirdest dreams too!
So hard to mobile bump.. but big congrats to everyone that had normal scans!

How are you feeling: still rough, still taking Zofran. I do feel spurts or energy more often. The fatigue isn’t as overwhelming. I can actually tolerate water though which is a huge step in the right direction.
rants/raves: had our NT scab today and everything looked perfect ❤️ Huge relief for me as we’ve had former losses and my anxiety was just through the roof. Fee like it can be real now and we “can go public” which is good I hate hiding!
GTKY: I live in Nebraska and I love it! It’s beautiful here and I love having seasons. It’s cold and gross right now but I can’t complain I enjoy it!
Lurking form week 3 but @Pascal86 have you tried taking your iron with orange juice or vitamin c? It increases absorption which could help get your levels up. I’ve been a vegetarian for like 6 years now (until the baby because I was keeping so little down that whatever I could I have but just chicken) and this has helped raise my iron. Also beans and lentils have iron so tell him to back off lol. I also made my husband go vegetarian to offset me eating the meat lol.
@beckylookatherbump yes! Always with orange juice - but only started taking it recently, so I think it should take a bit for my levels to go back up. I should probably always be on iron, but I don't like dealing with the pills, and finding time when I have an empty stomach + pairing it with vitamin c just makes it annoying. But I should totally work on upping iron through my diet as well. And I LOVE that you made your husband go veggie to offset your impact, such an (appropriate) power move.

Upcoming appointments: I don’t have one until February which will be 6 weeks since my last. It’s making me crazy.. I went from every 2 weeks to 6 and I just want to hear her heartbeat or feel something so I know all is good!
How are you feeling? So much better sickness wise! This week I had a few rough days but no more 24/7 sickness so I’ll take it! I’m still doing unisom and B6 though just in case.
Raves/Rants: we are almost finished with the girls shared room so the baby can have a room and I’m so excited about how it is turning out!
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the state you live in? I live in Missouri and love it here. The weather is not the best and my family is pretty far but otherwise, I enjoy living here.
