  • Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc. Early miscarriage at 5 weeks December '18, CP July '19

    Status:WTO

How are things going? Ok. I didn't cry much when this last cycle was a bust. I was just angry for a day or two but I'm fine now.

What is something that you are struggling with this week? My next empty due date is coming up in March and it's hard to accept that I may get to that date and still not be pregnant.

What is going well for you this week? I had my baseline monitoring appointment this morning and starting letrozole again tonight. It was really nice to have a long weekend, too.

R/R? I got a plant in a Christmas yankee swap(aka white elephant) a few weeks ago and it's still alive. Yay! I have never kept a plant alive this long. 🤣

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Nope. My next RE appointment is on 1/30 and I plan on asking about testing progesterone post-O, endometrial biopsy, diet changes, etc.

GTKY: What movie or tv show always puts you in a good mood? Legally Blonde always makes me smile.

  • Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc. MC at 7 weeks Nov, 2019.

    Status: TWW

How are things going? Not bad so far. Had a moment today after I got home from my vaginal US. I burst out in tears from seeing all the pregnant ladies in the waiting room with their cute baby bumps. Just made me remember what I lost and feel jealous of what I don’t have right now.

What is something that you are struggling with this week? Im in my first cycle TTC after my MC and I’m finding it hard that I have to repeat this stupid TWW mind F*#k thing. I definitely did not miss the waiting period after ovulation and I’m struggling with the fact that I have to go through this all again :( Ive been just taking it easy and trying not to over analyze or google every symptom etc. I’m not expecting much this cycle so I’m just keeping calm and waiting for AF to come.

What is going well for you this week? Well all of the snow is gone and melted so yay.. snowstorm over 😁😁 I can finally be independent and drive myself to work again lol. My little car doesn’t do well in ice and snow so my hubby has been driving me to work or Ive been getting rides with co workers. I hate relying on other people.

R/R? We have pizza day at work coming up on Thursday so yay to that! 🍕 Free lunch is my favourite lol

Any testing coming up/any recent results? None at the moment. Will have to wait to hear from my doc tomorrow with my results from my US about my uterine fibroids. FX he has good things to say.

GTKY: What movie or tv show always puts you in a good mood? I just love the movie 10 things I hate about you and Billy Madison. It always make me happy when I watch it.

@emeraldduchess  I’m proud of you that you didn’t cry much last cycle when it was a bust. So sorry your empty due date is coming up in March. That’s tough. Hugs. ❤️ FX your pregnant before then. Yay for keeping your plant alive for this long. I know the struggle all too well 😆 any plants I have too don’t make it long lol. My DH always jokes and says our house is the morgue where plants go to die 😂🤣 oh, I also love the movie legally blonde. Makes me smile too. “ just bend and snap”... 😆

  • @mindyb2019 bumps and LOs are always hard to see after you've had a loss. So many hugs. Cry as much as you need to. I hope you get good news from your doc today! 💜
  • @mindyb2019 i had the same reaction when i went for my followup last week.  there were 3 women there for their glucose testing and i felt like i was staring/looking on with envy

    @emeraldduchess love me some Reese!

Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc. MMC in December

Status:WFAF, actually my spotting seems to be slowing down a bit so im thinking i might be inching closer? fingers crossed?

How are things going? overall well.  i saw the last few of our friends that knew i was pregnant and had MC so it feels like i can close the chapter of seeing these people for the first time.  of course got teary eyed with each hug and comment about the loss, but day to day now i've been okay. just in limbo

What is something that you are struggling with this week?  i am battling this epic cough/cold so i am dragging

What is going well for you this week? im eating lots of comfort food because im sick, so its been a great food week (though as soon as i feel better i need to stop indulging)

R/R? trying to do some hiring in my office for PT help, but finding good help is really hard!!!!

Any testing coming up/any recent results? nothing for a bit

GTKY: What movie or tv show always puts you in a good mood? the office.  i have a handful of episodes i watch when i am particularly stressed (jim/pam centric of course!)

  • Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc. MMC Oct. '19 followed by a D&C in Dec. '19

    Status: WTO

How are things going? Uggghhh I could the creeping crud that's going around. Not sure if it's the flu or a cold, but it's awful. The only thing I'm grateful for is that my nose & throat aren't affected, it's just all in my chest. The body aches seem to have subsided quite a bit too, which is the only reason I'm upright today.

What is something that you are struggling with this week? MH and I will be having dinner on Sunday with my old office that I interned at during grad school, and the coworker that got KU three weeks after my MMC in October will be there, and I'm certain she will be showing by now. I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for that, but it's hard.

What is going well for you this week? Short work week since yesterday was a holiday, and since today is CD10 we are now in FW!

R/R? It's 29 degrees outside. I HATE being cold. So, not only am I feeling yucky but it's freezing outside, so that means no running for me. I get antsy when I can't go running.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Nope

GTKY: What movie or tv show always puts you in a good mood? The Rocky Horror Picture Show or the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

    Me: 37 / DH: 41
Due with baby #2: Feb 2022

  • @ttcbabyodo sending you strength for that dinner. 💜 I hope you feel better soon, too!

@asf0613 DH and I just recently started watching The Office on Netflix and we are hooked! I've been watching it on my tablet while I walk on the treadmill at the gym. I get a lot of looks because I break out laughing so often! Do you listen to the Office Ladies podcast? So many cool behind-the-scenes stories!
  • @emeraldduchess yes!! i do listen to the office ladies as well, im a few episodes behind but i love them!!

Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc.    TTGP since July '19, MMC in Dec. '19 (7-8 wks)

Status: I'm WTO, which will probably happen towards the end of this week if my cycle is normal. This will be our first time trying since the MC, so I'm definitely trying to keep my expectations in check.

How are things going? I haven't been as active as I planned this past month leading up to O week.  I was very consistent with my exercise routine in December and early January but I pulled my neck muscle almost 2 weeks ago and it's just now starting to feel normal.  I'm committing to starting up again this week.

What is something that you are struggling with this week?  My medical bills from the end of 2019 are starting to come in and it's stressing me out. I had some unexpected expenses in addition to some unexpected medical stuff so I'm feeling the squeeze.

What is going well for you this week? I've been getting some creative projects done around the house, as well as organizing. I finished a sewing project (10 curtains for living room) that I started back in November.

R/R?    Rant: I hate insurance deductibles. I wish we could go back to the co-pay model ($10 to see primary, $25 for specialist).  I met my deductible at the very end of the year, which means I'm basically paying out of pocket to see my gyno, my dermatologist, urgent care visits, chiro, etc while paying my premiums at the same time.

Any testing coming up/any recent results?  nope

GTKY: What movie or tv show always puts you in a good mood?  Like @asf0613 I love some Office humor. My favorite character is Dwight, not because I like him, but because he's the perfect office nemesis and he's hilarious.

@ttcbabyodo hoping your Sunday dinner is bearable, sending positive thoughts

@emeraldduchess good luck with the new medication and congrats to keeping the plant alive

@mindyb2019 I would have cried as well. I had that kind of moment in Dec after my co-worker announced to our dept. I held it together in the moment but had a meltdown in the car. Sometimes you just have to cry it out!

  • Thanks @dancingtreepose. Like you, this is my first month TTCAL and keeping my expectations in check has been a struggle, especially since today is CD11.

Due with baby #2: Feb 2022

  • Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc.  Ectopic pregnancy at the end of Dec. 2019, surgery to remove baby and ruptured tube Jan. 9th.

Status: Benched until April due to methotrexate.

How are things going? Okay. Getting back into a daily routine has helped a lot. But I’m still picking up the pieces from all of this. My house was a disaster. I basically had a breakdown because DH wanted to have sex and I can’t yet. And I’m not sure that I want to yet.

What is something that you are struggling with this week? Just moving on. I keep thinking that I should have celebrated my birthday excited after our dating scan. A friend is due in May and seeing her and hearing her talk about her baby is hard. Also, it really sucks that I have to wait so long to ttgp again. At this point, I won’t have a LO until 2021.

What is going well for you this week? My husband bought me a ninja foodie for my birthday. So I’m excited to find some recipes to try in it. And my house is slowly getting back in order. So that’s nice!

R/R? January is normally such a good month for me with all of the holidays and my birthday. I’m just ready for this one to be over with.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? No

GTKY: What movie or tv show always puts you in a good mood? A new season of grace and Frankie just came on Netflix. I love them so much! Frankie is the old lady that I strive to be. 😂

  • I'm so sorry you're struggling right now @photographerwife. *hugs*

We got a Ninja Foodi as a door prize at my Christmas party. I'm still trying to get the hang of using it. We've only really used it for the air fryer feature, and so far it has made really good fried fish fillets, but I'm struggling with getting it to fry up shrimp properly. They keep overcooking and getting super tough while I cook them because they cook so fast, but I'm trying to get the breading crispy. So, yeah, it's tricky.

@emeraldduchess yay for keeping your plant alive! It’s always hard for me to keep one alive in the wintertime! I’m sorry about your last cycle and your potential empty due date. I hope you are celebrating instead.

@mindyb2019 seeing all the pregnant ladies in the waiting room is the worst. I couldn’t even stay in there. I’m sorry that the TWW is hard for you right now. I’m dreading all of that too. I hope your appointment goes well!

@asf0613 I hope your spotting stops soon! I’m sorry seeing your friend was hard. I told everyone that we had told about the loss almost immediately so I could get it over with. 😕 Jim and Pam episodes are the best! Their wedding episode always makes me tear up!

@ttcbabyodo I hope that your dinner goes well. That sounds really hard. I’ll be sending thoughts your way. I hope you feel better soon too! I ♥️ lotr! We’ve only used the air fryer too, but I’ve only had it like 2 days. Shrimp is always so finicky. Are you using bigger shrimp? I don’t know if that would help. I am interested in the fish fillets! I have some in the fridge right now that I was considering cooking in there. I love the pressure cooker too! I had an instant pot before this, so I’m excited about the tender crisp option!

@dancingtreepose I hear you on the medical! What’s even the point of paying all of this if you still have to turn around and pay SO MUCH out of pocket? No wonder so many people get stuck in debt because of medical bills. I’m jealous of your curtain skills. I want new ones for the living room! Dwight cracks me up!!
  • @ttcbabyodo I hope your dinner on Sunday goes well and it’s not too hard on you. I’ll be be thinking about you.

@photographerwife thank you. ya I agree. Seeing pregnant ladies in the waiting room is the worst. I’m sorry you had a meltdown and are still picking up the pieces and that you have to wait so long to try again. Hang in there girl. I hope the next few weeks gets better and easier for you. ❤️

@dancingtreepose I’ve been there before many times and having a meltdown in the car. Sorry you had that moment in Dec after your co worker announced. I feel ya on keeping your expectations in check. Its our first time trying since the MC too and I’m in TWW and I’m trying hard not to overthink every little thing and not get my hopes up.
