This is my girl Carly - just turned 10 this weekend! She’s a German Shepherd husky mix, a little standoffish but super sweet. I lost my 4 yo lab to cancer almost a year ago, who we got after losing my 7 yo lab to cancer, so I’m always missing my crazy sweet lab pups, too. But it’s going to be a long time before we have the bandwidth to go that route again even though I wish we got get another one now.
#whyI'mcrying I'm looking at all the fubabies!! 😂😂
Below are Pippi the cat and Riley the pup. Pippi is 8 lbs of sass and ownership of all surfaces (hence my concerns about baby's spaces) and Riley is 35 lbs of ears and insanely high jumping. I love them both dearly 💗
This is my dog, Sophie! We adopted her in 2013, and we think she's about 8 now. She was definitely abused before us and is very anxious and timid, but she's just the sweetest soul. I love seeing her with DD, and I'm excited to see her with another tiny human!
Did the spoiler work?? Lol first timer here. If it worked, this is our cat, Wilbur. He will be 5 this May and we’ve had him since our neighbors rescued him and his two sisters from under a porch when they were tiny, maybe 6 weeks old. He’s been crazy ever since then, he has an appetite for human flesh, loves to ambush us when we are relaxing on the couch (especially if he thinks it’s mealtime and we aren’t moving fast enough). But he’s surprisingly gentle with DD and loves giving her “kisses” where they touch noses. It’s adorable. He’s a pain in the ass but we love him!
This is my Louie...he just turned 7, he's a rescue, mini schnauzer/terrier mix. He is such a snuggle bug, I can't wait to see him snuggling with his baby brother/sister.
I love this thread! Here is our first ‘child’, Monty. He’s a sheltie/papillon mix. We think he’s about 4 years old now but definitely the souls of a 80 year old man. We rescued him over three years ago and we just love him to bits!
Furbaby threads are my favorite! This is our golden retriever Russ (3), tabby sisters Rue and Rose (4ish), and our basically adopted outdoor/stray cat named Hurley. Rue and Rose are some of the cuddliest cats I’ve ever seen, and I was so nervous when I adopted them because I had never had cats! They’re basically little dogs though, follow me around everywhere, always want to be by us, etc. Russ is just a doofus and we don’t know how we’re going to love a child more than our “first born”
the pics posted out of order but im too tired to fix them 😇
These are my fur babies! Our 2 year old Shepherd/Husky, Daisy, is from a rescue which I have been working for since shortly after adopting her. We also have two cats, Belle (sand Tabby, also 2yo.) and our kitten Dot (Tabico, 6mo.) I am a crazy animal lover and have never not had a dog in my life. I’m hoping they all will love their future human sibling.
We have a 10 or 11 year old cat, we adopted her when she was older and they guessed 5 or 6 so we don’t really know her age. Since the girls were born I don’t have many pictures of her but she is so good with being tackled with hugs
I have two pups. One 5 year old black and white mutt who any vet we’ve taken to changes what they think he is his name is Charles. He came from an Indian Rez he had a rough start to life but you would know it. He loves to give kisses and cuddle.
Then we have our german Shepherd, Elwood, we rescued him when he was about 11/2 years old we think he is about 6 now. He has no idea how big he is. And he is very aware of me being pregnant. I can’t wait to see them both with a tiny human. But I’m pretty interested in seeing how he is going to act.
Love all of these and I can finally use a spoiler box lol so here is mine. Bruiser is 13 and not doing well. He could use a bath and a haircut but with his paw the way it is, we haven’t been able to. We also have a cat named Izzy (I love her colors! She’s a tortoiseshell cat) and a hamster but I won’t post the hamster lol
Yay for fur babies! We have 2 rescue mutts, Ruby (5 this month) and Hazel (3). We got them both from a Labrador rescue, but neither look anything like a lab 😂. We did the DNA panels on them and Ruby is a good ole mutt with a bunch of random breeds. Hazel is half Doberman, mostly Lab, and a sprinkling of Chow Chow. Ruby is our first baby and we got Hazel a year after her. Hazel is a very high stress dog, yet she is the most patient with our son, who likes to sit right next to her on the dog bed. Ruby is the worlds sweetest dog and loves every human out there, except for her human brother 😂.
I got some pictures of our Doodle (hamster) tonight. My mom got DD1 a hamster for her birthday and it got sick over Christmas and didn’t make it 😬 His name was Noodles and Cheese (noodle for short). She named him after her favorite food 😂 so the new hamster is Doodle noodle. He’s a teddy bear hamster and is such a sweetie and so fluffy.
Re: GTKY - Furbabies!
