Thank you everyone for all of your HSG input! That makes me feel so much better! My friend scared me saying how painful hers was! I’ll definitely take Motrin before I go!
@inthewoods23 that’s AWESOME! So happy for you!! One step forward!!

@inthewoods23 omg omg omg! YAY!!! 3/31 happens to be a really special date in my family so I consider that a good sign for you, friend!!! @abarr723 not going to lie, I've heard it can be increasingly uncomfortable if you have a blocked tube but for the most part it seems like it's just some bad cramping and maybe a little pinch when they insert the cath.

@inthewoods23 so dang happy for you, friend!! ☺️☺️☺️ That is so wonderful you shouldn’t have to sit out a cycle now...3/31 will be here before you know it!
@kpearse99 I’m glad your RE isn’t overly concerned about the clomid. I’m excited to see what happens!
@misshelen86 I’m so sorry about YH’s grandma. That’s so wonderful that you are able to spend a lot of time with her. I’m sure it’s a comfort to her even if she doesn’t totally know and I hope it’s a comfort to you guys too❤️
@feather_heather I think your plan sounds perfect. Good luck with the hysteroscopy on Friday! Are they going to put you under anesthesia? I was surprised to have no pain after mine but I was nauseous and exhausted for about 3 days. I’m sure everyone reacts differently but it’s nice that yours is on a Friday!
@kiki047 I didn’t get a chance to post at the end of last week but I was so so happy to see your news about your embryos! A trip to Portugal sounds amazing. Is it somewhere YH has always wanted to go or what made you pick there? Also I had to take an antibiotic before my SHG and HSG because they aren’t done in sterile environments
@emeraldduchess I’m sorry for the temp drop but I know that you know it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. How far into the TWW are you?
@inthewoods23 I hope you get your results soon! But that is wonderful news that you don’t have to sit out a month. I gasped out loud when I read that. So happy for you!
@mvt2003 I’m thinking about you! I’m sure it is crazy that you are getting so close but you are totally going to rock it!
@littlebug2010 that sounds so stressful about YH grandparents. I hope they are happy once they are settled in
@abarr723 I didn’t feel anything during my HSG but I think it is different for every person and if you have any blockage. I did follow the recommendation of @mvt2003 and kept up with meds after and I only had light cramping. It was more of a nauseous feeling than cramping.
@ramzlau that’s so exciting that you ended up not being cancelled!
@pom9207 wow so many great things in your update. I’m so happy for you!
@flowntheloop I think my SHG was a called “SHG with Femvue” - I have no idea if that’s the same as what you are having but I didn’t feel anything.
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW but was benched this cycle
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Waiting for hysteroscopy results, post op appointment on Friday, then we will finally have an idea of what our future TTC looks like.
How are things going?: Just ready to know things! The fellow that came to see me before they took me back to surgery told me that the 3-5 days they told me for results is when biopsies are taken in the office, surgical biopsies are more like a week. Today marks a week so if nothing shows up tomorrow morning (results are usually pushed through the portal overnight) then I will be giving them a call. It’s not too much longer to wait until Friday but depending on what we need to talk about at the appointment I might want DH to join.
Any questions?
GTKY: I like to be out either being productive or doing something fun on Saturdays. Sundays are for church, grocery shopping, laundry, and seeing our parents/siblings, but the best Sundays are when we don’t have to go see anyone (even though I love them all dearly) and can just be lazy, but still kind of feel productive since the laundry is getting done!
@kiki047 that's so awesome that you're surprising your H with a trip to Portugal! Where are you going? I heard the Azores are beautiful. @bows22 I hope you get your answers ASAP. That's so frustrating. I am 12dpo so the TWW is almost over and I decided to stop temping since it was making me too anxious. Just waiting for spotting to start. If CD1 holds off until Thursday I'll test with a cheapie.
@inthewoods23 That is so exciting. I so happy you get to start sooner!
@kiki047 Im sorry about the slip in my update. I totally didnt even think about it, despite having been on this board multiple times, and knowing the rules. I'll make sure that I am more carful in the future. Also, I did have to take antibiotics for my HSG. They said it was standard procedure when I took them.
@misshelen86 Not temping has been so freeing. I was a bit anxious about it to start, and kinda hate that my chart is so empty, but at the same time, its so nice. I wore an Ava bracelet, because my wake up times were never consistent. It is so nice to not wear something every night. It is also nice to not wake up with ava face, from sleeping on my arm.
Thank you all for the kind words with my grandparent-inlaws. They are doing well as of now, and I think sort of accepting what is coming. We will see what happens when the move on Friday, but for now they seem to be in a good place.

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
@bows22 - No anesthesia - they said I can drive myself to and from ... and I even plan on going back to work afterwards for a meeting. Is this a bad idea? Should I reschedule my meeting?
@feather_heather if they said you can drive after I’m sure you will be fine to go to work. I was totally out so I couldn’t drive and then I took awhile to bounce back from the anesthesia, but the recovery from the actual procedure was nothing. Let us know how it goes!
I called this morning and left a message on the nurse’s line about my biopsy results. A nurse called back already and said, I can see your results but I’m not allowed to interpret so you’ll have to wait for your post op appointment. Like - I wasn’t expecting you to interpret, I want you to get me in touch with someone who can. So I said can you either release the results or leave a message for Dr. X who did the procedure? I was told to message him if I wanted the results but since I haven’t ever seen him for an appointment he’s not coming up as an option for me to email through the portal. She said I’ll see what I can do and call you back. I am thinking/hoping someone would have called if it was something bad but knowing that they have my results and I am not allowed to know them is making me furious.
Edit - she sent a message and said that she discussed with the PA and she said that “it does not look abnormal and we will discuss in more detail on Friday” I don’t know why I even bothered
@bows22 Ugh that’s so frustrating!!! Hope you are back from them with your results today!
@inthewoods23 Yes this is the great news! So excited for you!

Due Dec 2021 12/21- Baby girl born!
Posting again so as to not edit my post for a second time haha - I mean obviously “not abnormal” is not bad news but it still seems so vague especially if there are “more details” that need to be discussed. I’m so annoyed. I wrote back that I’m not sure why the PA said that I could call to discuss results and that I’m sorry that I wasted both of our time.
@bows22 Your RE office drives me nuts and I don't even go there!!! I'm so frustrated for you because they have to be able to tell you SOMETHING more about the results. Thankfully Friday will be here so soon, but still, it's besides the point! I am so ready for you to get some answers and a plan in place for how to move forward! I know you are so ready too, but I want this so badly for you, my friend!!
@emeraldduchess oh my friend! I have so many things crossed for you!!!

@kiki047 For antibiotics, I take them before an IUI as well to reduce the inflammation in my lining since I have endometritis caused by a bacteria that lives on my lining.
@bows22 so glad your results came back normal! Can't believe how stressful it is just getting info from your RE's office. I am constantly playing phone tag with mine, but that's due to not being able to answer the phone while teaching. I hope they're nice when they talk to you. My former gyno office used to get all pissy when I called to ask questions. Like I was bothering them. Which is why I no longer go there!
Thanks for all the crossed fingers and good vibes, ladies. CD13 and no spotting (yet). Also haven't had my usual pre-period mood swing and I feel pretty normal, so I don't know WTH is happening. *shrug*
@bows22 That's so maddening about the results and your RE's office jerking you around like that. I'd be furious. It sounds like it's all too common in healthcare and it drives me insane. That's a relief that it's not abnormal but then why can't they just release the results? MH has never left the continent other than our honeymoon in Hawaii last year so I really wanted to take him to Europe. I've been around the world and he's so jealous because he's never really had the means to travel, or anyone to go with. We've been toying with the idea of Portugal because we only have 6-7 days and we thought we could knock off quite a few places in a short(er) time, as opposed to somewhere like Greece or Italy or Spain where we'd want to go all over. Plus the weather is fairly mild that time of year. I tried to throw him off the trail by telling him it was too expensive or I couldn't find flights so I was hinting that maybe we'd just fly south to GA or SC for some golfing, or maybe UT to hike. @emeraldduchess Yay for no spotting yet! Gosh I hope those are all good signs! The Azores look AMAZING. I wish we had more time to do that. So far it looks like we'll spend 2 days in Lisbon, a day trip to Sintra, and possibly stopping in Tomar or Coimbra en route to Porto. On one hand, of course I hope the FET works but on the other hand, if it doesn't work I will willingly drown my sorrows in allllll the wine. @keikilove Hi friend!! Thank you, miss you! Have seen you lurking. @littlebug2010 it's ok, no harm done. Just caught me a little off guard. Glad to hear things are going well with the grandparent ILs. @ramzlau interesting, thank you! So it's more common than I thought. Someone I know IRL was giving me a hard time about having to take it because she didn't for any of her procedures and she claims her clinic is the best in the country so obviously she knows more than me <insert eyeroll here>

For everyone following along, I am now on Day 13 of Insurance Hell. Today, my daily 30 minute call with my insurance company resulted in the person on the other end offering to call my doctor's office to get the prior authorizations started herself, which I very much appreciated, although I do sincerely doubt that she got to speak to a human being there - I always have to leave a message on the nurse line so who knows. Guess I'll find out tomorrow during that 30 minute call where I have to hide in an unused conference room so everyone in my cube farm doesn't hear me trying to get an update on my Gonal-F.
Also, I think my SiL sent me a fishing expedition text today. She asked me if I'm registering for a massively popular 5k in April that we both did last year, and I decided to pull the bandaid off (since I'm 99% sure my BiL has told her we're doing IVF) and say no I'm not committing to a race calendar this spring because all of my medical stuff is so up in the air (which is essentially what MH told his brother soooo...). She then started slightly fishing for information, in a nice enough way, asking if I have appointments set up already. She was supportive in an acceptably not superior way but not too intrusive, which I appreciate. I will regret having said anything though the next time I'm in a room with her mother because her mother will absolutely pry or say something thoughtless.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Letrozole (5mg), TI, and Progesterone after O.
How are things going?: Doing pretty well! Was definitely disappointed for the BFN last week, but I expected it by the time I actually tested, so that helped a bit! I’m ready to give it another go this cycle though! Here’s to hoping this is the one!
Any questions?: None right now.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? Just hang out with DH...whether it’s doing something active like hiking when the weather is nice, or just cuddling on the couch watching our shows! We kind of live for the weekend...we start our countdown to the weekend every Monday! ☺️
@kpearse99 I’m so happy that you are so excited for this cycle!! I really feel like the change to Clomid could be the game-changer for you! I love YH’s idea of Sunday Funday!! You are right, the weekends always go way too quickly, so that’s great to make the most of them!!
@misshelen86 so sorry to hear about YH’s grandmother...that is good you have been able to spend as much time as possible with her! That is so frustrating about getting the surgery scheduled...I hope you get a date this week!
@feather_heather I’m so glad you had a good meeting with your doctor last week, and it sounds like you have a great plan in place! I totally get the wanting things to be normal, but also wanting to find something that can be fixed! I hope you get some answers with this testing cycle!
@kiki047 I’m glad finding out the PGT test results has allowed you to get a little excited about the FET!! I have everything crossed for you that it will be a success and that your trip to Portugal will be an all-around celebration!! We skipped ahead and watched all the Avengers movies after watching the first of each of the Marvel movies...but now we need to go back and watch all the ones we missed! They are so good!
@emeraldduchess I’m so sorry this awful rollercoaster is getting to you!! I hope the temp drop was nothing and that this is your cycle, friend!! Everything crossed for you so tightly!
@inthewoods23 I really hope you get your test results soon...but I am so excited for you that you don’t have to sit this cycle out!!
@mvt2003 I’m so sorry for all the stress/fears that have come along with getting closer to IVF! I love your socks you shared in the baking/crafting thread! They are beautiful!! 💜 That’s good you were able to get someone that wanted to help on the insurance end...hopefully they made some headway with your RE’s office!! That’s frustrating about your SIL fishing for info...but hopefully it is coming from a place of love! @littlebug2010 so sorry you are having to go through that with YH’s grandparents...but that’s good to hear they seem to be handling it pretty well!
@abarr723 so sorry the stress of TTC is getting to you! We are here for you!
@ramzlau yay...so glad treatment didn’t get cancelled this cycle and you were able to get the IUI in! Fingers crossed this is your cycle!
@pom9207 so glad your MRI came back normal and you were able to get all your questions answered by your RE! Have the best time in Hawaii!!
@flowntheloop sorry you came down with something! I hope you are able to get all of the testing done tomorrow!!
@bows22 that is wonderful news that things did not look abnormal...but my goodness, your RE’s office is so frustrating!! I hope you get clear answers on Friday and can get a plan going forward!!
@bluetickgal I love that you're all about spending time with YH! That's how I am too I'm the happiest when I'm near him, no matter what we are doing!

Aaaahhh! I left work last night, and somehow my fertility pharmacy got the job done! They called me to let me know they got the prior authorization handled, and they sent the shipment overnight, it's currently loaded on a truck heading for my house!!!!!
I truly do not know how this happened, since (no exaggeration) 8 different people at my insurance company could not find any evidence of prior authorization being requested, but here we go! Also, we do not owe thousands of dollars for said shipment, which is something I had very much braced myself for, so I am still completely in shock!

Well, just when I thought this might be it due to the lack of PMS, spotting started this AM. I'm not even sad, I'm just incredibly angry. Now I have to decide if I want to take a cycle off and try without meds and the trigger (give my body a break), or ask to do another medicated cycle. IUI is not an option because insurance won't approve until I have another appointment with the RE. Rant ahead, so I will put it in a spoiler. *TW loss*
I'm starting to believe that despite the good number of follies I've had the last two cycles, my eggs are just garbage due to being AMA. We'vr been ttc for 18 months and all we have to show for it is 2 early losses and a mountain of stress, frustration and sadness. I honestly don't know what I should do. My fear is messing up any progress we might have made getting my body to respond to meds(if that's even a thing. I still have a LOT to learn). Part if me is ready to say screw it and throw in the towel. I don't know how much more of this my heart and mental health can take. Maybe I am just not meant to be a mom. Sorry I'm spilling all this here, ladies. I don't really have anywhere else to talk about this or ask advice.
@emeraldduchess oh friend, I am so very sorry. I hoped so much this one would be it. I don't blame you for wanting to take a cycle off from meds, and you need to do what's best for your physical and mental health. I can't say when it's "time" to walk away or not, but I think you will know deep down if it's just not possible to take any more. I know moving to the next step of ART is a big one, and scary, and expensive, and hard, and you need to do what's best for you at the end of the day. Just know I'm here, and ready willing and able to give support.

@emeraldduchess I'm sitting here trying to figure out what word I could say to help comfort you, but I know that there aren't many words to help ease the pain, hurt and frustration you currently have. We all know that, because we've all been there. First, please don't apologize for venting here. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that this is a safe place for all of us and this is the exact place and group that you should vent and rant to, because we all get it! The stress, frustration and sadness takes a LARGE toll on our bodies and our health and our mental state. You are allowed to be angry. You are allowed to be upset. You are allowed to feel discouraged. You are allowed to feel however you want and need to feel. I completely understand your fear of if you take a break will it mess up any progress that you've made... I don't think taking a month off would effect anything, and if anything it might be what's best for you emotionally and mentally.
When do you have another appointment with the RE? So that you can be considered for IUI...?

@mvt2003 yay, so happy the pharmacy was able to work their magic and get things done!! I’m sure that’s a huge weight lifted!!
@emeraldduchess I’m so sorry, friend!! Sending you all the hugs!! 💜 Like others have said, do not feel like you need to apologize for venting...we are here for you!! Can you talk to your RE’s office and ask if they think taking a cycle off would affect things? That may help make your decision a little easier...and if it won’t affect anything, maybe taking a step back for a cycle will help to rejuvenate you and help you to get excited/ready to try again! I think we all have the fear of when we might hit the end of the road, or what that might look like! I truly hope this is not the end of the road for you and that you will get your THB!! I hope whatever you decide to do, that you will have a peace about it!!
Thank you, ladies. As always, you've helped me feel so much better. 💚💜💚
@feather_heather my next appointment is on 1/31. My IF clinic is through a big-city hospital, so my RE is only there one day/week. I should have made an appointment much sooner but TBH, DH and I were kind of in denial that we may need a second (or more) round of IUI or IVF. We needed to be more emotionally prepared to make decisions going forward. @kpearse99 we already have one failed IUI cycle in the books (Nov.). My insurance wouldn't approve of more until we had a follow up with the RE (something we were not made aware of until afterward). They sent a letter claiming the RE didn't provide info, which is BS because they approved the first one. *sigh* @bluetickgal I am going to call the RE nurse's line tomorrow morning. I still have one trigger shot in my fridge due to a mix up last cycle, and I may have one refill left of letrozole. I will ask them what they advise. I know clomid has a limit to how much you can take, but maybe letrozole is ok? That's more what I am wondering about. I barely responded to it the first cycle, second cycle was better, and this past cycle they actually warned me that I had a lot of follies so there was a good possibility of twins (or more). That's why I am thinking there's a problem with my eggs. @mvt2003 thanks, friend. 💜 Every busted cycle I tell DH I can't take anymore, then I hear a little voice saying "just one more cycle"... DH and I are going to have a talk tonight. I will try to come back with more tags for everyone. I know there's a lot of ladies in the thread I haven't been able to connect with this week!
@emeraldduchess my RE has told me there was no risk to continuing with letrozole!

@emeraldduchess I’m so glad you are feeling a little better! When I asked, I was told there is no limit with Letrozole like with Clomid. I am currently on my 11th total cycle using Letrozole. I hope you get some answers tomorrow that will help you decide how to proceed.
@mvt2003 how exciting! That’s amazing! I can only imagine how happy you must be! So with meds on the way, what’s you’re next step?!
@emeraldduchess I’m so sorry that you’re feeling so down. I know there’s nothing anyone can say that will make you feel better. But we understand. Maybe have a chat with DH? See how he feels, decide together what you should do.
Rant: Ugh it’s 445 am and I’m so anxious about my HSG in the morning. I haven’t slept. I know I may be freaking out over nothing. It’s just All the possibilities of things that could be wrong. *wooosaaa*. Guess I’ll try to close my eyes for a bit.

@bluetickgal I agree with @kpearse99 your GTKY was so sweet! DH and I both have “quality time” as our love language so I can totally relate!
@mvt2003 hooray! Sounds like you & this pharmacy are going to get along just fine haha!
@emeraldduchess Just chiming in with the others that you never have to apologize for sharing your feelings here. We are really so lucky to have this group of strong, intelligent, and kind women that are going on a similar(ish) journey with us. I don’t know how people do it alone. So we are here for you! I hate that you are feeling this way but your story isn’t over yet. ❤️❤️
@abarr723 good luck today! I hope it’s quick and easy and they see clear tubes. But if it’s not, we will be here for you!
AFM - can you believe that my results came through overnight? They said they were “resulted” last Friday so not sure of the delay. I don’t really understand what they mean, they say a lot of things that when I google they take me to endometrial hyperplasia but those words aren’t actually mentioned (if I do have it, it won’t be a shock to me as I am suspecting it even though the RE office was trying to downplay it) but I don’t see the results for if there were precancerous/cancerous cells. I guess maybe it only says that if they are found, and I’m assuming they were not since they said the results were “not abnormal.” so many mysteries! In a few hours I will (hopefully) have answers!
@bows22 Thank you. 💜 I hope you get some more clarity on those results today! FX! @abarr723 good luck today! I had a hycosy back in July and it wasn't too bad. It was uncomfortable because they pushed down on my abdomen to get the dye up my fallopian tubes, but other than that, it wasn't bad. My big fear (besides finding something abnormal) was that I'd fart while the doc and nurse were all up in my lady bits. 😬 Let us know how it goes!
@abarr723 wishing you lots of luck today!!! I hope it goes super smoothly!
@bows22 It's post-op appointment day!! I hope you get all of the information you need, in full details, and that there is a clear path/plan for you guys and that you can jump right back into trying! keep us posted!!

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): never ending anovulatory cycle (CD 63)
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): I have a follow up appt with my naturopath at the end of February and if I haven’t had a period or ovulated since then we are going to switch up my protocol. Add in Berberine and saw palmetto and take out the myo inositol and PMS SAP
How are things going?: I just got a temporary full time post job so I am very excited about that! I’m following my diet protocol about 95%! DH has started travelling for work and so I am a bit bummed that our TTC journey will be greatly affected by that but I’m also happy because when he is gone I can 100% focus on my health! My goal this next week is to keep up with this thread! I keep lurking but never find myself posting in here
Any questions?: what do you guys do for stress reduction? I do meditation and yoga but I’d love to do all I can!
....I’m off the bench! Apparently I just have a lining that is thicker than normal. They did remove some “extra” thickening/ possibly a polyp (I guess there is a gray area between thickening and polyp) so I’m really hoping that’s what kept us from getting KU. Edit to add - she said we didn’t have to worry about hyperplasia since the biopsy came back totally benign.
We are going to try on our own until summer-ish and then if we still aren’t successful, we’ll go to another RE for a second opinion and possible treatment. My brother and SIL started at our same RE office for testing but had similar feelings that we do about it so switched to one a little further away for treatment, so we will likely go there too.
I’m not sure if I will keep posting on this thread while we try on our own but I will definitely be lurking and supporting all of you. I honestly could not have made it through these past 2 months without you. ❤️❤️

@abarr723 not going to lie, I've heard it can be increasingly uncomfortable if you have a blocked tube but for the most part it seems like it's just some bad cramping and maybe a little pinch when they insert the cath.

Diagnosis (if you've been: Endometrial thickening
Sundays are for church, grocery shopping, laundry, and seeing our parents/siblings, but the best Sundays are when we don’t have to go see anyone (even though I love them all dearly) and can just be lazy, but still kind of feel productive since the laundry is getting done!
and WOOoHOOOO!!! @inthewoods23 for a moved-up transfer date. Soooo exciting!♥️
@bows22 I hope you get your answers ASAP. That's so frustrating. I am 12dpo so the TWW is almost over and I decided to stop temping since it was making me too anxious. Just waiting for spotting to start. If CD1 holds off until Thursday I'll test with a cheapie.

@bows22 - No anesthesia - they said I can drive myself to and from ... and I even plan on going back to work afterwards for a meeting. Is this a bad idea? Should I reschedule my meeting?
Edit - she sent a message and said that she discussed with the PA and she said that “it does not look abnormal and we will discuss in more detail on Friday” I don’t know why I even bothered

Thanks for all the crossed fingers and good vibes, ladies. CD13 and no spotting (yet). Also haven't had my usual pre-period mood swing and I feel pretty normal, so I don't know WTH is happening. *shrug*

How are things going?: Doing pretty well! Was definitely disappointed for the BFN last week, but I expected it by the time I actually tested, so that helped a bit! I’m ready to give it another go this cycle though! Here’s to hoping this is the one!
Any questions?: None right now.

I truly do not know how this happened, since (no exaggeration) 8 different people at my insurance company could not find any evidence of prior authorization being requested, but here we go! Also, we do not owe thousands of dollars for said shipment, which is something I had very much braced myself for, so I am still completely in shock!

Now I have to decide if I want to take a cycle off and try without meds and the trigger (give my body a break), or ask to do another medicated cycle. IUI is not an option because insurance won't approve until I have another appointment with the RE. Rant ahead, so I will put it in a spoiler. *TW loss*

When do you have another appointment with the RE? So that you can be considered for IUI...?

When is your next RE appointment? Can you tell them you're struggling and need to meet to discuss options moving forward?
@kpearse99 we already have one failed IUI cycle in the books (Nov.). My insurance wouldn't approve of more until we had a follow up with the RE (something we were not made aware of until afterward). They sent a letter claiming the RE didn't provide info, which is BS because they approved the first one. *sigh*
@bluetickgal I am going to call the RE nurse's line tomorrow morning.

@bows22 It's post-op appointment day!! I hope you get all of the information you need, in full details, and that there is a clear path/plan for you guys and that you can jump right back into trying! keep us posted!!

Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOS
