    Upcoming appointments: had one today, BF class 1/22

    How are you feeling?  Fine. All of my symptoms have been pretty consistent and mild for the past couple weeks

    Raves/Rants: We started seriously talking about baby shower. My friends from college are planning it. I asked my mom and she didn’t want to host it but now she’s overly excited and is making all these plans. She requested that she be kept in the loop with planning. I’m going to have to have a discussion with her and remind her that she’s just a guest.

    Questions: 

    GTKY (from Group 4): Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion? They were hideous but I wish toe-socks would make a come back.

    Upcoming appointments: Jan 20 

    How are you feeling? Consistently tired. Next week I go in for weekly NST as a precaution. I’m exhausted just thinking about it. 

    Raves/Rants: MH has been consistently complaining about my attitude the last few days and I’m this close to losing it. Apparently he’s forgotten that very little sleep, no appetite and hormones lead to cranky women. 

    Questions: 

    GTKY (from Group 4): Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion? I’m quite content in leggings and oversized shirts. And nothing I wore in college would be flattering these days.

    Upcoming appointments: February 4th for my 1 hr glucose 

    How are you feeling? Tired but otherwise pretty good. 

    Raves/Rants: Today I came home to find my crib and mattress delivered - yay! Except they left the packages in the rain. Thankfully the mattress was in plastic wrapping. I haven’t opened the crib yet. I also came home to about a million other packages all blocking my door. Including my new white blinds. In the rain... My mom had to come and help me slide them into the garage. Praying everything is in one DRY piece 🙄🙄🙄

    Questions: I have the crazy sharp pain right under my left boob on my rib cage area. Thoughts on what might cause that? It started today at work. Didn’t lift anything don’t think I stretched funny either. It hurts to take a deep breath - which I needed after finding those packages. 

    GTKY (from Group 4): Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?
    Denim skirts. Going out for the night - denim skirt. Going to the store - denim skirt. Gotta go to class - denim skirt.  All I wore in college lol so cool 😎 Not sure I could pull it off now though.

    @babyfoxden10 Acid reflux or gas. I’ve had those pains a lot with each pregnancy. It gets worse in the third trimester.

    Upcoming appointments: I have my repeat anatomy scan on friday. I'm hoping they get all the pictures they need this time. Last time baby girl was hiding her face behind her hands. No paparazzi haha

    How are you feeling? Mostly good. Havent been nauseous lately which is a plus. The round ligament pain is real though.

    Raves/Rants: I'm trying to eat healthy BUT I JUST WANT ALL THE JUNK FOOD!

    Questions: Anyone having a shower in February? Mine is Feb 23rd, which I thought was a little early at 30 weeks, but that's when the hosts were available I suppose.

    Cloaks. Especially in the winter I always wish I had a cloak. Like full on Lord of the Rings style hooded cloak lol

    @babyfoxden10 ooooh! What crib and mattress did you go with, if you dont mind me asking? I'm trying to make those decisions now.

    @rox7777 I feel that. DH has been snarking at me about my attitude this past week as well🙄. Sometimes in the middle of the night when the pregnancy insomnia strikes I just stare at him peacefully sleeping and I want to bash him a few good ones with a pillow lol

    @randic22 I got the Fillmore crib and dresser set from Pottery Barn and the lullaby mattress from Pottery Barn as well. The mattress has 2 sides a firm side for infants and a softer side for toddlers.

    @randic22 I’m having my shower on March 7th (almost 32 weeks). I think having it in February is still good timing and not too early because you’re in your 3rd trimester. It’ll give you ample time to prepare for things. I had a friend who had her first shower (she had 4 in total) at 25 weeks.

    I was actually thinking about starting a baby shower convo in the FTM group, on my way to do it...

    I don’t think there’s really a set timeline for baby showers. Most people aim for the third trimester, but it’s really at the convenience of your hosts. MH’s company threw us a small one when we were overseas and it was around the six month mark. I had one around the seven month mark for DS2. Both were born early, so I wouldn’t have wanted to wait too late.

    @drkoyya maybe a baby shower thread in general? I was also wondering if a nursery thread would be wanted as I think a lot of us are starting them or at least looking for inspiration.

    @drkoyya @randic22 Just be forewarned that a lot of people tend to disagree on baby shower etiquette. You will get varied answers. And I do mean across the board. You can lurk April & March. They have shower boards that are pretty long and detailed.
