Baby is the size of a(n): dragon egg or Chipotle burrito
Upcoming appointments: 1/29 for just my 24 week check-up
How are you feeling? Pretty good overall. My main issue lately is the my back is killing me. And I get these shooting pains down my left leg that makes it hard to move my leg so I have to breathe through them. Hoping it passes!
Raves/Rants: DD is already practicing for Baby without even purposely doing it. She’s obsessed with changing all of her stuffed animals diapers. She can now get a diaper out, unfold it, lay it down, lay the stuffed animal on it, and put it on all by herself. She’s 2.5 so I say that bodes well for her future help 😂
Questions: Any lower back/leg stretches that have changed your life? I’m doing some prenatal yoga stretches each night, but haven’t found one that reaaalllyyy works.
GTKY: What’s your most-used app on your phone/tablet? Definitely Facebook. I’m still very active with moms from my Aug ‘17 BMB and we have our FB group that talks daily.
@mokay19 I could be wrong but are the back/shooting pains Sciatica? It might help to look specifically for stretches to help pregnancy caused sciatica. That's so cute that DD is practicing diapers on her stuffed animals!
EDD/weeks+days: 5/17 / 22+2
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink!
Baby is the size of a(n): Coconut or 1/2 dozen bagels
Upcoming appointments: 1/27 for repeat AS
How are you feeling? Tired but it was a busy weekend. The hip pain is back in full force but I did have some relief from resting a bit more this weekend. And of course heartburn...
Raves/Rants: We transitioned DD out of her crib (converted to a toddler bed) to a twin size bunk bed. I don't want her to associate the new baby having pushed her out of her crib, so she'll have a lot of time to adjust. We put the crib in our storage unit. Having some anxiety about how we're really going to fit another human being into our tiny living space.
Questions: None.
GTKY: What’s your most-used app on your phone/tablet? Probably a tie between The Bump and Facebook.
@louessbee did they say if you have an anterior or posterior placenta? Also I am with you DH, what are endives lol. @mokay19 I am so hoping PT helps me, I will let you know if there is anything that is life changing. @jrouge12 how is DD doing with the bed change? DS loved getting his "big boy" bed.
EDD/weeks+days: 21+1/ 5/24
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): The rose from Beauty and the Beast
Upcoming appointments: nothing until Feb. other than PT for sciatca.
How are you feeling? I am tired and grumpy. I just want to sleep for than a two hour stretch at night, between needing to pee and the darn cat, I am up so much. Also heartburn is slowly killing me (this kid better have hair hahaha)
Raves/Rants: Nothing too much going on here, now we are really looking at things for the baby and DF and I actually like the same things, it is a miracle. Also my mom and dad are "surprising" us by helping to buy the big ticket items we need new like the travel system and pack'n'play.
Questions: Not that I can think of
GTKY: What’s your most-used app on your phone/tablet? Facebook or Design Home
How are you feeling? Pretty good but having trouble sleeping. Oh also I found out one of my good friends is expecting 6-8 weeks after me! She lives in NY though.
Raves/Rants: Starting to feel like buying things...but not wanting to spend money...I did just buy a high chair. I want a Hatch Baby Rest, too. And a Baby Bjorn Mini. The rest of the stuff I need is needs, not wants.
Questions: Not my family related, but anyone have any history or knowledge about febrile seizures? My boss's 2y daughter had one on Thursday and has had some ongoing symptoms since then.

How are you feeling? great! I've had lots of energy lately and been feeling pretty good. My only complaint is that it's starting to get a lot harder to get comfortable at night...the hip pain is definitely beginning..
Raves/Rants: I finally started telling my students that I'm pregnant and they have been so awesome and excited! I'm feeling really good about this semester and trying to take advantage of my momentum to get as much pre-planning done as soon as possible.
Also - we officially starting house hunting last weekend! Hoping to find a place in the next month and hopefully move in by the end of March! So many exciting changes for our little family!!
GTKY: What’s your most-used app on your phone/tablet? Definitely Reddit
@catem07 we have a hatch baby rest for DS and it is 100% worth it! We are definitely planning to get another one for this baby.
I'm in the same boat too - wanted to buy things..but not really wanted to pull the trigger. I just keep adding things to my registry and I set up a spreadsheet with kinda key things in when we really need to get them - it kinda helps
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Pink! confirmed!
Baby is the size of a(n): Endive
Upcoming appointments: feb 9 24 week check up
How are you feeling? Meh. Toddlers keep making my back hurt
Raves/Rants: rant: work is BS right now. I counted up 29hrs of internal meetings last week. I’m in business development so that only leaves 10 hrs to talk to my customers and that’s just not okay.
Rave: I bought a used rifle paper co pattern baby carrier today and I’m totally obsessed and excited. I just can’t tell DH about how much it cost. 😬
Questions: anyone else have an anterior placenta? I had it with my first, not my second, and again now with my third. I get sad not feeling all this baby kicks!! Just small movements still.
GTKY: What’s your most-used app on your phone/tablet? Instagram probably.
@louessbee do you have anterior placenta(s)? If so, totally normal. I’ve had both and right now with anterior movement is so limited. Only a few little tickles here and there throughout the day.
@mamaqdubu I have an anterior placenta. I think I did with my first, too. I barely feel anything at 21+3. TBH I don’t mind, as a person who dislikes physically being pregnant, I find baby movement weird.
DD #1: April 2017 DD #2: May 2020 Baby #3: EDD May 2023; MC October 2022
@mamaj1220 and @mamaqdubu I've got one of each - A is posterior and B is anterior. Sometimes I feel little... Bubbles? But it's still hard to tell if that's just gas.
Also @mamaqdubu that is an insane amount of meetings. What can people even go on about for 29 hours in one week?!?
@mokay19 That’s so cute with the diaper changing!!!
@jrouge12 I hope your daughter adjusts well to her new big girl bed!
@louessbee if it wasn’t for the picture in the app, I probably wouldn’t know what an endive was either. Never had one. Also, I hope your job transition smoothes out soon
@mamaj1220 Pepcid is a safe heartburn remedy, if you’re open to safe medication use. I’ve heard the other “remedies” don’t really do much. Glad to hear your parents are helping with the big baby items!!
@catem07 I feel you on the wanting to buy things but not wanting to spend money. Babies are so expensive! Even if you get most things second hand, it really adds up!
@chewie5990 House hunting is so exciting!!! I hope you can find something you like that’s within budget. It’s a time crunch for sure!
@mamaqdubu Ugh that’s at least 25 hours too many of meetings!!!! I hope that this week is better
EDD/weeks+days: 5/19, 22 weeks!
Team Finding Out/Pink/Blue/Green: Blue
Baby is the size of a(n): Coconut
Upcoming appointments: Fetal echo 2/3
How are you feeling? Generally pretty good
Raves/Rants: Finally really feeling baby move and It’s starting to feel more “real” to me. I got to meet our friend’s new baby, she’s 2 months old and she slept on me for 2 hours. It was baby heaven for me! I know that was an unrealistic snapshot of time in an infant life, but I’ll take it! I also watched my friend give the baby a bath, which was very helpful as a refresher.
Questions: Not that I can think of
GTKY: What’s your most-used app on your phone/tablet? Facebook unfortunately
I'm 22 weeks today and I have not felt consistent movement at all - anterior placenta here. Makes me freak out s little but trying to stay calm as most say it's normal 🤷🏻♀️
@littlemichaelscott2020 I’m a STM at 21+6 with an anterior placenta and I only just started feeling any movement this week. If you’re a FTM it’s even more normal (I don’t know if you are.)
DD #1: April 2017 DD #2: May 2020 Baby #3: EDD May 2023; MC October 2022
@mamaj1220 DD is doing about the same as her toddler bed. Partying well past bed time playing with her toys. Now she can drag more in its amusing to see what shes "collected" in her bed each morning. 😂
@chewie5990 Hope the house hunting is going well!!
I think we are going to put in an offer on a house today! the market is super competitive where we live (houses usually go under contract within 7 days of listing) so I'm trying to stay realistically positive - but we love this house!
