  • I hate January too but I actually was surprised that it was the 13th because it feels like it's only the 6th! I feel like it's actually going fast, so far, when it typically is the never ending month!

  • @inthewoods23 I LOVE the fabric shaver! It is especially great for reviving furniture that my cat decided to turn into a scratching post.

    Hope this link works! It's from Conair. I bought the rechargable one instead of the battery operated one. I can use it corded or with whatever charge it has. I think it says when fully charged it'll work for 25 continuous minutes.

    @krash_ my cat is a devil like that too, but she's adorable too 😆 I'll have to try it on our furniture! Usually I snip the long threads with scissors but maybe this can keep it tidy before she pulls out too nuch

  • @krash_ dry January! That sounds awful.

    I dropped my car at the shop this morning At 10 for an oil change and inspection. Apparently there was something wrong with my oil pan so they had to replace it. Here we are at almost 4pm still not done.... 😠

  • @abarr723 Uuuggghh, car problems! One of the worst things... Sorry that dragged on today.

    AFM, I woke up this morning & thought, “How is it ALREADY the 13th?!? This month is flying by!” Apparently I’m alone in this feeling lol. But I’ve also been consumed with multiple huge work projects lately—thus my relative absence on TTGP—so it’s making time go too fast!

  • @keikilove I agree that it's weird to think we're already close to being halfway done with the month!

  • I just want to do a quick update in here for everyone, I'm scheduled for a diagnostic laparoscopy on 1/24 for my pain. They'll be looking for abnormal endometrial tissue growth and/or abnormal scar tissue that may be causing my pain. Until then I'm back in limbo.

    Should I treat myself to wine tonight? I think I should...

    Treat yourself to all the wine!!!

    @keikilove yes it definitely made for quite a long day being trapped at home!!! Hubby was at work so I really had no way to go anywhere!

Probably because there is lots of things I need to get done at work this month and I feel like I’m behind and playing catch up. We also have tons of birthdays in my family this month, there’s a party every weekend! I’m looking forward to the end of this month because my life at work should get easier.

    @ashaislurking alllll the wine!!
  • @kpearse99 my DH won't go for either! He loves dogs but we cannot handle two dogs.
  • @emeraldduchess we already have 2 dogs  :D  Our house is tooooo small for a 3rd! And we finally don't have to go home on our lunch breaks to let the puppers out, now that she's older and finally not destroying the house! But I still torture myself and look at the sweet new faces!! I have a serious problem!

  • @bows22 unfortunately, since DH and I are teachers we can only travel when school is out. Which means flights and hotels are always expensive. I wish there were travel discounts for teachers. Hear that, Jet Blue/Disney??
    @kpearse99 can I ask where in Canada you went? We're looking at Toronto, specifically Niagra Falls.

  • @kpearse99 & @krash_thanks!
    @ashaislurking FX that you get answers from the laparoscopy. Hoping the next week and a half go by quickly for you and with minimal pain. Also, all the wine.
    @kpearse99 we just got our first pup back in April 2019! We are still working on training him, but I can definitely see me lobbying for dog#2 if TTC becomes difficult.
    @emeraldduchess I support all the Disney planning! FX your hubby will give in on that one!
    @abarr723 your husband sounds like mine. LOL.
    @bows22 hurray for your Disney trip!!! You deserve it!
    @emeraldduchess there is a beautiful area near the falls called Niagara on the Lake. If you like wine they have TONS of wine tasting there. Even Wayne Gretsky has a winery there! Its gorgeous in summer and there is a theater festival every year called the Shaw festival if you are into theater.

  • @emeraldduchess oooh the Canadian side of Niagara Falls is so nice! I've been there many times and always enjoy it. There's some great wineries around there and I'm seconding what @krystrist2014 said about Niagara-on-the-Lake.
  • @kpearse99 bet your a** when we get out of this apartment and buy a house I will bring home all the puppers!

    @krystrist2014 hahaha 😂

  • @bows22 Aaaand this is why we're friends. Impulse Disney trips are my love language :D

    @emeraldduchess We went up to Niagara a few years ago for an anniversary long weekend! We broke up the drive up by stopping in Buffalo, but the drive back we went straight and DANG it was long haha! In hindsight I wish we had only done a night at Niagara and had hit Toronto as well. The Falls was a bit touristy for me, but I really loved Niagara-on-the-Lake. The wineries were beautiful, and Lake Ontario was fun to see!
