This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): 50mg of Clomid, Trigger, IUI #5 and Progesterone after O
How are things going?: Pretty good! I'm still feeling really pumped about this cycle, although a little nervous that the Clomid will effect my lining and make it thinner than it usually is, but my RE is optimistic and said we'll cross that bridge if/when we get to it and then go back to Letrozole if we need to. I had my baseline appointment this morning and everything looked great, so I'll start the Clomid tonight.
Any questions?: Nope!
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? Just taking things one moment at a time, to be honest! It doesn't matter if it's a crazy busy day, or a day filled with housework and laundry or a day of just browsing the stores... I like to just try and enjoy each moment or activity because I know the weekends just go by so quickly. I'm most happy when I'm with my family! DH likes to have Sunday Funday's... meaning, super lazy Sunday's where we binge TV and take naps haha!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Waiting for a surgery date for DH ( varicocele surgery)
How are things going?: It’s been a rough month for us with both fertility and personal things. DH’s grandma is in palliative care right now and doesn’t look like she has a lot of time.. we have been spending as much time with her as we can. We are all registered for IVF in case surgery doesn’t improve DH’s count, we will be able to jump right in. And we are playing the waiting game with getting a surgery date.. I’ve called a few times already and we have been waiting for a month now. My counselor has suggested I stop temping and taking OPK’s for a few months so I’ll try that with the next cycle.
Any questions?: Not right now
@kpearse99 Lazy days are amazing! I like being able to get in either yoga or a workout but other than that, just hanging out and watching Netflix and ordering pizza is my fav thing to do on a weekend.
Me: 35 DH: 35 TTC since 9/2018
Dx: MFI 10/19- First RE visit 2/20- DH had surgery for bilateral varicoceles 7/20- IUI with 5 mg letrozole- BFN 9/20- IVF. 9 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, 7 blasts, 4 PGT-A normal 11/20- Mock transfer/ERA 12/20- FET #1- transferred one 4AB- BFN 3/21- FET #2- transferred one 3AB- BFP! Due Dec 2021 12/21- Baby girl born!
@misshelen86 mmmmm ordering pizza!! So good! I can't believe it's been a month and you still can't get a date set for that surgery!! What's the hold up? Do you know? That's so frustrating. I think what your counselor has suggested, about not temping or doing OPK's is a GREAT idea! It will take some added stress off of you and I think you'll be happy to learn how much calmer the month(s) will be without the hassle of tracking and you guys can just enjoy each other again

Diagnosis (if you've been): endometriosis, borderline PCOS, unexplained IF
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Testing cycle
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Met with the doctor on Friday and we are going to take this cycle to do some additional testing. I have a hysteroscopy scheduled for this Friday, and then we will be doing a biopsy cycle with ERA testing and something else that happens during the biopsy? The ERA test isn't covered by insurance, but we're going to pay OOP for it because I'd rather know everything we can. For now, we've opted not to PGS test the frozen embryos, because he said in my age group only 25% are likely to be abnormal. He said we could do it, but we would also have to pay OOP for it, so we're going to wait to see how the rest of the testing goes. He also agreed to start transferring 2 embryos to help our odds.
How are things going?: I feel more optimistic after our meeting Friday. I know generally you want test results to come back normal, but I'm actually hoping something isn't quite right so that we will know why it's not working.
Any questions?: nope
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? Lately - relax on the couch and read or binge watch a show! lol Typically I get bored easily and can't do that, but with everything going on the past few months, my body and brain just constantly craves downtime.
@misshelen86 - What's the hold up with the scheduling? Can you call a different hospital and try to have it done sooner somewhere else? I'm so impatient and would be calling every day to see when I could be scheduled.
@feather_heather I'm really happy you got to ask all of your questions and that you got answers to them all. I'm happier to hear that you are feeling better and more optimistic now that you have those answers! It's so nice when our RE's can reassure us and help us feel like the plan in place for us is the right one. I think you guys have a great new plan in place for you with the additional testing and I know the feeling of wanting something to be slightly off so that you have some answers, while at the same time knowing that it's good for everything to come back "normal".

@kpearse99@feather_heather I don’t really know what’s going on, other than we were told the surgeon is very busy. MH was told it could be a 4 month wait, which would mean we can’t do any treatment for 7 months since we have to give the sperm 3 months to go through a cycle. I did get DH put on a cancellation list last week and was told we should hear about a date soon. I called again this morning so FX we get a date very soon. Just so frustrating because we were told by the surgeon to expect a 6-8 week wait.
@feather_heather Sounds like you have a great plan moving forward! GL with the rest of your testing. Makes sense to skip the PGS testing for now if your embryos are more likely to be normal.

@kpearse99 aww friend, your update made me smile this morning. I'm glad you're feeling good about this cycle and I love YH's Sunday Funday idea. That's how weekends should be. @misshelen86 Wow that's a lot to deal with all at once. That's good that you have a plan in place just in case, I hope that brings you some reassurance. And I'm so so sorry to hear about YH's grandma. That's so tough and brings back memories. When my Grampy went into palliative care we were devastated, but it also brought the family together and we really treasure those last memories. I hope you and your family are able to cherish the time you have left with her.
Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOS, high AMH, some MFI
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Just waiting this cycle out and we do our 1st FET next cycle!
How are things going?: Better than expected. Now that we don't have the PGT results looming over our heads we're starting to maybe let ourselves get a little excited (and nervous) about our upcoming FET.
Any questions?: Any advice on traveling with meds (specifically injectables)? I'm looking at surprising MH with a trip to Portugal the first week of March, which will potentially be 2-3 weeks after our FET and if all goes well I may still be on PIO at that point.... Will they let me on the plane with my ice packs and needles?
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? Putter around the house. I love doing laundry but am so bad at doing it during the week so it ends up sitting in the dryer or basket and doesn't get put away, then the cat(s) turn it into a bed and I have to wash it again because it's all furry lol. I strip the beds, we go to costco, get little projects done, sleep in... it doesn't happen often but when it does it's the best thing. This past weekend we even watched 4 movies (trying to get caught up on the Marvel/Avengers films, we only just finished Avengers: Age of Ultron). It's been months since we've watched a movie other than Hallmark Christmas movies. We want to go see Bombshell this weekend.

@kpearse99 I am glad you're feeling so good about this cycle. You know I have EVERYTHING crossed for you, friend!
@misshelen86 hi, friend! I am so sorry that it's taking so long to schedule your H's surgery. Glad everything is lined up for your next steps post surgery, though.
@feather_heather I am glad you feel better after your meeting on Friday. That must take a lot off your mind.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): letrozole, trigger, progesterone post-O
How are things going?: I had a temp drop this AM after a 3 day rise, so that was a bummer and put me in a sad mood. I vented a bit in the TTCAL thread. Angry/sad/bitter that I am still on this rollercoaster after 18 months.
Any questions?: What are some of the reasons the RE might order an endometrial biopsy? I am thinking about bringing that up at my next appointment, but I want to do my homework first before asking. If this cycle is a bust, I wonder if I should take a cycle off from meds just to give my body a break. On the other hand, I seem to respond better each cycle, so I don't want to slow the momentum.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? I love starting the day having coffee/tea in bed with DH, snuggled up with our pup and watching the news. Knitting and listening to podcasts/watching movies is also a favorite lazy-day activity!
@kiki047 I LOVE that you're looking to surprise YH with a trip away!! I traveled with my trigger shot once and had no problems. I bought a cold pack that used typically for insulin. I bought it at CVS, it's like a gel pack sleeve that you soak with cold water and then it keeps the meds cold for like 24 hours or something like that. I had a note from my doctor ready in case TSA had any questions but I had no problems with it. I'll try to look up the name of what it was that I bought and I'll let you know!
@emeraldduchess gah, I'm sorry about the dreaded temp drop... but maybe it's just a fluke, I don't want to fill you with false hope or anything like that but you never know until you know and temps can't always be reliable.

@kpearse99 Sundays are often lazy for us too, especially after last week. Man it was a rough full week back at work. Happy to things looking optimistic this cycle!
@misshelen86 *hugs* I really hope the surgery happens soon and does the trick. You've been through so much.
@feather_heather as with me, I'm hoping our failures are just a simple timing issue! Which of course really is not a simple thing.
@kiki047 what meds need the ice packs? None of my FET related meds need refrigeration. If yours does, I would just call the airport (or TSA I guess?) and ask how to properly transport those. There might be some kind of prior approval or you need a doctor's note with you. Definitely check online. They can definitely go with you in your carry on.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): nothiiing. Au naturale baby!
How are things going?: still waiting on the darn test results! But maybe no news is good news?? Last week really sucked so hoping I can get back on track on the happy train instead of the struggle bus
Any questions?: Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? We tend to spend the weekends lounging. I'll work on sweeping/cleaning and getting some laundry done (not folded or put away of course unless I'm being super ambitious and productive), maybe run out for items that we need at home. In the summers we spend more time outside and/or have bonfires, but winter is a lot of couch potato-ing.

How are things going?: Things are getting emotionally harder the closer I get to IVF. I have a lot of emotions about everything, I'm anxious it won't work, I'm afraid of the pain, I'm stressed about the prescriptions still. And yes, insurance is still screwing around on me - now they're saying they can't see the authorization requests in the system but there's a multi-day backlog so they should know more by around Wednesday. Yet I'm getting phone calls from the specialty pharmacy going over details to schedule my prescription shipping, so who the eff knows what's even happening here.

@feather_heather Glad you got to ask your questions, and I'm glad they're going to do additional testing. It's also interesting to me to hear the stats about normal embryos. I'm hoping that they figure out what has been going on so you can do your next FET with confidence and hope!
@kiki047 That trip sounds AMAZING!!! And it sounds like a really great way to pass the TWW time!

@feather_heather glad you were able to get some answers from your doctor, it sounds like you've got a good plan in place to move forward. @emeraldduchess I hope that temp drop was just a fluke too. I stopped temping a few months ago and I don't miss that rollercoaster of anticipation every morning. @kpearse99 I bought one of these for my stims but I didn't think about a doctor's note, I will ask about that, thank you! @inthewoods23 my progesterone suppositories need to be refrigerated or they'll melt. The PIO doesn't need to stay cold but I'll still need to take it with me since we'd be taking a red-eye flight and I'll need to do my shot either at the airport or on the plane. @mvt2003 how annoying about the insurance BS, I'm so sorry that's compounding your stress! How are things going?: Im okay. DHs grandparents are in the process of moving to assisted living, unwillingly, and we are going down next weekend to help, and let them see their great grandson. So on top of IVF news, this is going on, and work is really stressful as well, I am not really sleeping. I feel really crappy because I am so tired, and I just want things to calm down.
Any questions?: I am sure I will have some once my next cycle starts, but none right now.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? I go rock climbing with DH every weekend. I really love going with him, and its a kid friendly place, so we can go together. I love that part of my weekend.
@kpearse99 I have everything crossed for you. It is always nice when your RE feels confident too.
@misshelen86 I stopped temping and I dont think I will ever go back. It is so freeing. I know that I can track things with other signs, and I just cant have that stress anymore.
@feather_heather It sounds like you are feeling really optimistic, so much optimism going around. FX you can figure something out with your additional testing.
@emeraldduchess I am sorry about the temp drop. All of this is such a mindfuck. I feel so much less stressed about these cycles because im not temping. While I was waiting for AF to show, it was nice to just wait, and not panic about every fluctuation.
@inthewoods23 I hope you get your results back soon. The waiting is the worst!
@mvt2003 I know what you mean about the emotional rollercoaster. My husband keeps asking me if I really want to do this, and I dont really know how to tell him that I just cant try naturally anymore. The thought of going through another loss, when we could have done more to prevent that is too hard. This whole thing is so hard on your emotions. Im sorry insurance is giving you the run around though. That is super annoying.

@littlebug2010 good luck to YH's grandparents with their move. That's a really tough transition for everyone involved, especially if it's against their wishes. MH works for a seniors residence so we see a lot of that. The one thing that does help is having the support of family so that's really nice that you're going to go help them with the big move. And I hate to be that person but can I ask you to please use a *TW* or spoiler when you mention your son outside of the TFAS thread? I know it might seem unfair because your kid is undoubtedly a massive part of your life and it is second nature to talk about them, but it can be very triggering for some so we have those rules in place to protect those in our community who are still trying for their first THB. Hope you can understand.

@emeraldduchess besides the 2 tests they're doing with my biopsy, I'm not sure if there are others. They might be helpful with determining cause of losses, but that's a complete guess on my part. FX that temp goes back up!
@mvt2003 hope everything gets sorted out soon to relieve you of all that anxiety! It's hard enough dealing with IF, no one wants insurances woes on top of that!
@kiki047 ah yes, the suppositories. I had those for IUIs but they put me on Endometrin inserts for the FETs, no idea why do one over the other. GL doing PIO on the plane if it comes to that! Sounds like an anxiety nightmare to me. What if there's turbulence as you go to stab yourself? 😱
@littlebug2010 sorry to hear you're going through so much. Take some moments for yourself. ❤️

Diagnosis (if you've been): potential PCOS? Working up
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Just waiting
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): day 3&21 bloodwork & Ultrasounds, HSG on 12/17.
How are things going?: there okay. I’ve been kind of down lately. I didn’t think the getting pregnant stuff would bother me the way it does.
Any questions?: has anyone had an HSG? I’ve heard it’s painful, I hope not!
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? Sleep! Haha I’m in my last 5 months of nursing school so I like to rest any chance i get, between school and work my sleep is far and few between haha
May Siggy Challenge: It's Gonna be N*SYNC!
TTC #1: 1/2019 Dx: 1/2020 Borderline PCOS Rx: Femara &Trigger with IUI IUI#1 2/26/2020- BETA 3/11 (AF arrived 3/11) 3/20/2020- Benched due to COVID-19
@abarr723 - I think the HSG is different for everybody, but in my case it was not painful. I had a bit of cramping with the balloon but it was over in 30 seconds.
@kiki047 - A suprise trip sounds awesome! Like others have suggested, I would call the airline directly and ask how they recommend traveling with medication that needs to be refrigerated.
@emeraldduchess - I hope the temp drop is a fluke thing. My doctor just ordered a biopsy due to repeated implantation failures. I don't think it hurts to ask and have that conversation with your doctor.
@inthewoods23 - I hope your test results come back soon! I have you to thank for knowing to even ask about the ERA! My office doesn't typically do them, but he agreed to take an extra sample and send it off to that company for their testing!
@mvt2003 - I'm sorry that your feeling this way! IF sucks and is so draining. Make sure you take some extra YOU time and pamper yourself - you deserve it!
@littlebug2010 - That's awesome that you guys do that together every weekend! DH and I keep wanting to go try that, but I'm intimidated to go and not have a clue how to do anything! I need to just push thru the intimidation and give it a try one of these days!
@abarr723 The HSG for me was pretty simple and just like a regular OB exam. I did not have a balloon inserted, it was just the speculum and the catheter to inject the dye. It was super quick and pretty painless. I may have had some very mild cramping after but it was pretty easy peasy.

@abarr723 The HSG procedure was uncomfortable, I wouldn't call it pain. I took Tylenol before the procedure, and I think it helped me a lot. It essentially felt like bad period cramps for me. Once the catheter was out, I felt pretty normal, and went right back to work. Unfortunately, I assumed I was fine and stopped my Tylenol in the afternoon, which is why I now recommend that other people continue their Tylenol through the night. I had a pretty un-fun reaction involving intense stomach cramps, which I found out happens to some women. I think if I had kept up with my Tylenol, I would have felt better.

Hey! Sorry for missing out on last week. I was lurking but between jet lag and a nasty cold I didn't get a chance to update.
@kpearse99 yay for renewed hope! Fingers crossed Clomid is the magic for you! @misshelen86 Sorry about YH grandmother, it is so hard juggling IF with the other stresses of life. @feather_heather I hope you get some answers that are easy fixes with the additional tests! @kiki047 I was just texting H that we need to get caught up on movies now that life is getting a bit more normal again after traveling! Let me know how Bombshell is! @emeraldduchess I think every RE treats endo biopsy differently. My first RE it wasn't even on the radar, the second, it was the first test she did. A friend had an RE do it the first test as well. I think having a history of losses is one of the factors (knowing that the problem isn't the egg and sperm meeting eliminates a lot of problems) so my RE was looking elsewhere for the problem. @inthewoods23 I hope you can find a reason for happiness this week! @mvt2003 Girl, I would have lost it by now with the insurance. Sending you all the patience I have! @abarr723 My HSG was painful, but I think it had to do with the endo I have as well as cramping in one of my tubes, on top of that my cervix sits funny so the speculum and balloon can be pretty uncomfortable for me if the doc doesn't know what they are doing. In the end, it is over in minutes though. Just remember to breath and like others said, take some tylenol before. @littlebug2010 Hope you find a way to reduce your stress during this waiting period. It is hard, but finding something to refocus and remind you to breathe really helps. Best of luck with the move for the grandparents too!
Diagnosis (if you've been): chronic endo
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW! See below!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Gonal F, Ovidrel, IUI, progesterone, all the vitamins and maybe some pineapple and pomegranate too!
How are things going?: Crazy! So we were traveling and my last update was that the doc cancelled this cycle because we would miss the CD3 checkup. When we got back I emailed the doc to say hey I think we fell through the cracks because no one responded to my emails. She called right away and said she had no idea any of it was going on, the nurse had cancelled the cycle not her. She got me in the next day (CD9 last Thursday) for an ultrasound and I had good lining and a great follie almost ready to go! The plan was 4 days of gonal f injections, then ultrasound, trigger and IUI this Wed, but I ended up getting a peak ovulation on Saturday, so we did trigger that night and IUI yesterday!
Any questions?: NATM
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? Home improvements, enjoying the pool during warm weather, or bumming around with family.
@kpearse99 yay for starting clomid! I was on clomid for 2 cycles, and it did thin down my linings a little. Worth trying a cycle or two!
@misshelen86 hope the clinic can get YH’s surgery scheduled soon! Waiting is so hard...
@feather_heather glad that your RE is willing to transfer two to help with the odds! Hope the ERA gives you some answers, like the best transfer date etc. I totally feel you that sometimes “completely normal” result gives more frustrations...
@kiki047 yay for all of the embryos passing PGT! I hope they make it with you to the Portugal trip
@emeraldduchess hugs to you it’s so unfair it’s also been more than 18 months since me and DH started trying... I hope the temp drop means nothing and tomorrow it’s gonna rise back again!
@inthewoods23 hope you get the results back soon! Sorry if I missed it in previous threads; were you and YH trying during the biopsy cycle? Or you have to be benched for the biopsy?
@mvt2003 ugh insurance! I would be pissed too that the authorization still wasn’t figured out. I think we may be IVF cycle buddy as I am also waiting for my insurance...
@littlebug2010 sorry about all the stressful things lately I hope things get slow down a little for you!
@abarr723 Hi! Welcome and sorry you find yourself here. I had a HyCoSy which is similar to HSG. It can be painful for some people, so make sure you take some painkiller beforehand! For me it was like the worst period cramp, but I also didn’t take any pain killers beforehand...
@ramzlau oh wow! I am glad that you were able to make it this cycle! Fingers crossed for you that this IUI did the trick!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): testing; trying on our own
How are things going?: I took a break from all the TTC stuff (though I still lurked all the time here) for two weeks, and it indeed helped! I was so bumped after our failed IUI in November *TW* and learned that a couple of DH’s friends’ wives got knocked up *TW*. I shut down all my social media.
Now I feel much better! Today I got my pituitary gland MRI scan done. Guess how fast the radiologist turned around with the report? Within one hour! I told the nice tech that I have my doctor’s visit at 3pm, and the tech said she will ask for an urgent read of my images. And then I got my result almost immediately
I had my RE appointment this afternoon. He is very responsive over patient portal, but I just had too much questions for him that I wanted to ask all of them at once, in person. The appointment went well; we discussed the protocol he planned to use (antagonist), doing half ICSI and half IVF, freeze-all cycle, doing PGT-A and all the schedule And OOP costs associated.
And! Me and DH are going to Hawaii later this week. Doctor agreed to not put me on BC for this cycle. We will just wait until my next period to start IVF!
Any questions?: nope
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? Man, I am so lazy. I just love lying in my cozy bed and watch YouTube!
edit: agh I forgot to mentioned that my MRI came back normal I also got my blood drawn again to see if my prolactin is lowered after taking the minimum dose of cabergoline.
Diagnosis (if you've been): None yet. Scheduled for Femvue, bloodwork, and SA.
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): I've come down with a virus or something and I've been glued to my bed
and running a low grade fever since yesterday morning. My hubby and I were scheduled to have our Femvue, bloodwork, and SA this Thursday, so I'm waiting to hear back on whether we
will have to wait another cycle to do that. I'm so pissed right now!
How are things going?: Dreadfully slow haha!
Any questions?: To anyone here that has had a Femvue: how painful was it for you?
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? Hiking, exploring, photographing/documenting plants, animals, and fungi.

@kpearse99@mvt2003 I just got a call back, and they said that my condition should NOT affect the procedure. They said to start my antibiotics tomorrow and come anyway in if I was feeling up to it. So, basically if I'm feeling too under the weather tomorrow, I can call and cancel. Gonna try my best to rest up so I can get this testing out of the way and figure out what is going on. I've also heard really good things about the fallopian tube "flushing" and chances of conception in the months following the procedure!

@kiki047 Thanks so much for the kind words you are right, it has brought us all a bit closer and is a good reminder how important family is. I’m so glad to hear that you’re pgs testing came back normal and you are ready to move forward with the FET!
@emeraldduchess I hear you on feeling all the emotions of hitting the 18 month mark. Sending hugs!
@inthewoods23 Hope you get those results very soon and that this week is better!
@mvt2003 Thanks so much Sorry to hear you’re dealing with so many issues on top of trying to deal with the emotions of your upcoming IVF. You’ve got this!
@littlebug2010 Glad to hear that not temping was helpful for you! I’m going to struggle with giving up that control but I think it’s necessary at this point. Sorry to hear you are going through so much right now. Hugs!
@abarr723 I have had 2 HSG’s done and I had a moderate amount of cramping during the procedure but felt okay after. With my first one it was more painful because the dr used 4 syringes of contrast. If you can take ibuprofen an hour before that should help.
@ramzlau Great that your doc got you in ASAP. FX for this IUI to be the one!
@pom9207 So glad your got your results so quickly and have a solid plan in place. Have so much fun in Hawaii!!!

@inthewoods23 my darling wimpy husband claims he wants to be "more involved" and wants to help with the PIO... I laughed in his face. This is the man who turns green at the sight of the tiny little SC needles or even listening to our NP describe how to do the shots he had his head between his knees. I said hellll no to him jabbing me with the big butt needle and now he's all pouty. Not a chance I'm letting him do that on a plane, lol. Not to mention the looks we'd get if we both crowded into one of the airplane bathrooms to do it. @abarr723 Definitely take the painkiller before and after your HSG. It not only helps with the pain but it will help relax your cervix to allow for easier insertion of the catheter. Hopefully it will shed some light on what's going on. I also have PCOS, was also an-ovulatory and with a lot of cysts when I got my DX about a year and a half ago so feel free to reach out if you have any questions! @feather_heather thank you! MH's birthday is the first week of March and instead of xmas/bday gifts we usually plan a trip but this will be the first time I get to surprise him with something. @ramzlau what what, that's so great the timing ended up working out for you after all. Good on you for advocating for yourself and sorting it out with your doctor. Huge WTF for that nurse that cancelled it in the first place. @pom9207 my eyes just welled up at the idea of one of our embies getting to come to Portugal with us. My heart doesn't usually let my brain think that far ahead. And that's AMAZING news about the MRI results!! FX that your prolactin levels have gone down too. Exciting things in your future, friend!! @flowntheloop oh no, sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope you get lots of rest before Thursday and the meds help clear it up soon!
Question, did anyone else take an antibiotic before/after their HSG/HyCoSy or ER? I did for both, to reduce the risk of infection. MH had to take it before the ER too because they don't want any kind of infection in his semen. I'd never heard of it before but my RE swears by it.

@kiki047 The antibiotic is actually prescribed for my FemVue procedure (not for my illness). It is meant to reduce the risk of infection as it is somewhat invasive. I hate taking antibiotics (this is maybe my second time in 10 years?), but I don't want to take any risks!
Me: 38 DH:38. Dating Anniversary: 1999. Marriage Anniversary: 2001. TTC #1 since 3/2019

@abarr723 as everyone else has said, it's not too bad if you take some tylenol or ibuprofen ahead of time! It'll hurt or be uncomfortable during, but the pain doesn't linger.
@feather_heather so glad I could be of help! Sometimes the time tweak is only 6 hours but it really makes a difference in getting an embryo to implant!
@ramzlau that's awesome that you were able to get an IUI in! Win!
@pom9207 we're technically benched during the biopsy since I was on the same meds as the FET cycle. They prevent you from ovulating. We're in a free cycle now so getting KU is possible, although our real odds are probably like 0.1% lol. Hurray for a normal MRI!
@kiki047 omg can you imagine stepping out of the airplane bathroom together and you awkwardly lock eyes with a flight attendant who happens to be standing just outside the door? I'd be like *holds up bag of meds and needles* "uhhh I needed to have a medication injected" and scurrying to my seat as fast as possible.
If you don't read the dailies - I'm in the WTO now! AF lightly started yesterday evening so I better call the clinic just to let them know. Although they don't care about this cycle, they just need to know when the next AF comes. Hopefully my OPKs aren't stark white this time 😅 I might take one tonight or tomorrow morning just to check how the line is. If there's decent color I'll feel better believing the cycle will progress quicker this time. Only had the PIO for 5-6 days so hopefully that is less screwy on my body than 15 days.

I called the clinic about CD1 and the results and had to leave a message. The nurse called me back, no results yet BUT!!! She's like, we can have you go on BC even though we don't know if you need the depot Lupron yet and I'm like, wait at the biopsy they (a different nurse) said I would sit out a month and then at the next AF go on the BC to start the FET. She got confirmation from the RE that I don't need to sit out a month so OMG we're starting sooner!! FX depot Lupron isn't needed! She said they're currently scheduled out to early April and has me penciled in for a transfer date of 3/31!

I like being able to get in either yoga or a workout but other than that, just hanging out and watching Netflix and ordering pizza is my fav thing to do on a weekend.TTC since 9/2018
10/19- First RE visit
2/20- DH had surgery for bilateral varicoceles
7/20- IUI with 5 mg letrozole- BFN
9/20- IVF. 9 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, 7 blasts, 4 PGT-A normal
11/20- Mock transfer/ERA
12/20- FET #1- transferred one 4AB- BFN
3/21- FET #2- transferred one 3AB- BFP! Due Dec 2021
12/21- Baby girl born!

@misshelen86 hi, friend! I am so sorry that it's taking so long to schedule your H's surgery. Glad everything is lined up for your next steps post surgery, though.
@feather_heather I am glad you feel better after your meeting on Friday. That must take a lot off your mind.
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained IF, unexplained RPL, possible luteal phase defect/low progesterone
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
@emeraldduchess gah, I'm sorry about the dreaded temp drop... but maybe it's just a fluke, I don't want to fill you with false hope or anything like that but you never know until you know and temps can't always be reliable.

Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained, low morph
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW

Any questions?: Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekend or on your day(s) off from work? I love to just curl up and knit, it's my favorite thing to do ever. It relaxes me, and I love feeling productive!

@misshelen86 So glad to see you! I'm so sorry about YH's grandma, sending you and strength! I would be freaking the eff out about getting the surgery scheduled, I'll keep my fingers crossed that they have a cancellation and can get him in!!
@emeraldduchess So many hugs, friend. I'm so sorry you're still on this rollercoaster. Has your RE mentioned further testing?

@mvt2003 ahhhh I"m sorry for the mind F that insurance and the pharmacy are playing on you! What is going on with your insurance's system?! I can only imagine all of the emotions and feelings you have right now as you get ready to dive into IVF. Just try to take it one day at a time, and if that's still overwhelming, then just take it one hour at a time.

All of your emotions are completely valid and normal. There are no guarantees in this crazy ride we're on, but one thing is for certain and that is you're doing everything you can for your miracle baby, even the scary, expensive, invasive stuff you never thought you'd have to do. You are stronger than you think, and you will have our support every step of the way if you need it

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Technically WTO, but we aren't trying as our egg retrieval cycle will be next month, hopefully.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Waiting. Ugh.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):
I've come down with a virus or something and I've been glued to my bed and running a low grade fever since yesterday morning. My hubby and I were scheduled to have our Femvue, bloodwork, and SA this Thursday, so I'm waiting to hear back on whether we will have to wait another cycle to do that. I'm so pissed right now!
How are things going?:
Dreadfully slow haha!
Any questions?:
To anyone here that has had a Femvue: how painful was it for you?

@flowntheloop yes!! Great news!
