  I’m sure they get weird gender reveal requests all the time. I feel like most people get the sex of their child put on a paper in an envelope and have someone they know and trust do the weird reveal planning.

  I'm sure people ask, but it's not their job - their job is to take measurements to see if your baby is healthy, and that your kid has all the right parts in the right positions. That is their main job.  Not to put together a weird reveal bag. They dont have time for that. 
  Honestly, they cant tell you the gender of your kid - they can tell you the sex.

  I believe sex and gender are the same thing 😃
   and yes, this is SUCH a weird concept to have gender reveal parties. Or using an item to reveal gender. I mean NO ONE does that 😂  🙄

  And if you're so confident, then why are you worried about the tech being "weird or rude" about it?

  Yes, many people think that reveal parties are weird - I went to one and oh my goodness your baby has a vagina - how awesome is that!  Haven't been to one since, and I will graciously decline any others in the future.  No one cared, but the parents and grandparents - they were the only ones who celebrated and cheered.  
  
  I'm sorry, but science completely debunks your feeling gender =/= sex.  Hopefully your little one isn't nonbinary or intersex because they do exist. Hence why gender does not equal sex.

  I told my nurse we were ready to know the gender, but I wanted to find out with my husband who was not at the appointment.  Apparently this is not uncommon.  They put a special card in an envelope for us to open together at the time of our choosing.  It was not just a hand scrawled note on a post it, but more like a proper greeting card.  You could tell the office already had a stash of them made up specifically for this.
