  DH just sent me this link.  How tragic!  Please take a moment to make sure your kids' furniture is not recalled!

  I have something to share here, that I came across today! Not exactly a recall, but it’s an important “heads up!”
  
  It’s a link to a CNN article about the trend of fake/counterfeit products being sold on Amazon (and on a smaller scale, other e-commerce websites) by third parties. 

  
  

  This is especially important as it relates to car seats, cribs, and other devices meant to keep our children safe, as well as anything that could pose a choking hazard if not properly manufactured to ensure that small parts don’t come off. In many instances, these counterfeit products can be faulty and allow, or even cause, harm to the child.

  
  

  According to the article, Amazon cannot legally be held liable if anyone gets hurt due to a fake/faulty product sold on their site by a third party. Only the third-party seller can be held liable.
  
  I have personally seen many fake products on Amazon. I even saw a crib that had many reviews saying the parts didn’t fit together properly, and they suspected that it was a counterfeit. 

  
  

  So just be careful what you buy on Amazon and other e-commerce websites. Make sure you’re buying from a reputable seller with good reviews, or even the original manufacturer whenever possible. And remember if the price is too good to be true, it probably is.

  It made me very wary of getting any pre-packaged food with hard boiled eggs.

  Also, holy moly, they are recalling everything that even LOOKS like a rock n play! 😱 I just hope my bright starts rocking seat and the bouncer that came with my PnP are still good, because those were both EVERYTHING with DD.  Hoping they will work again for this bub.
