Infertility

Feb FET

Hi all!hello all! I know it might be a little early for some. I’m currently waiting to start my period so we can do an FET in February. We currently have a 2 yr old from a FET 3 years ago. I’m excited to see how many will join me in this journey.

Re: Feb FET

  • Good luck! We also have 19 months old from our first round of FET, so the chances are good!
I’m in tww from Dec FET with our last embryo, which doesn’t seem to work (still bfn on FRER test 7dp6dt), so I’ll probably be hanging out at this board around Feb doing another round of IVF 😖

  • Hi ladies 🙂 there's probably a very slim chance for a very late February FET for me, but figure I'd say hello just in case.

I'm about a week and a half away from a mock transfer/biopsy (Jan 6) and hope to go right into the FET cycle. This is assuming the biopsy results show I don't need the depot Lupron shot for a few months. My clinic always does BC for minimum 18 days so depending on when AF comes after the biopsy (and clinic availability) I'm expecting a late February to mid or late March transfer date, but we'll see! Hoping it doesn't have to get pushed back into April. Been waiting too darn long for this!

  • Good luck @FuzzyDust we got this!

@inthewoods23 I hope you get to go right into it and don’t have to wait any longer. They wait is rough. My first was a 7 year TTC then we went into IVF. I then had to have fibroids removed in 2016 then I have to wait 6 months. So I feel your pain!
  • Hi all!
My FET #2 Beta is tomorrow but I’m still getting negative HPT tests at 10dpt so I’m not optimistic.
My 35th bday is in February, hoping for a miracle!
We have 3 embryos left from 6. We didn’t do genetic testing and I’m starting to think maybe we should’ve to avoid all of these failed transfers.

  • Hello all! I’m hoping for another FET in February after a failed fresh cycle this month. I have a meeting scheduled with my RE in two weeks to go over my schedule/plan. FX that February will be our month!
  • @covergirl2985 how did your beta go?

@vetgirl2011 I hope your appointment goes well. I’m just waiting on AF over here then I will start BC.

I hope we all get our little miracles!

  • @covergirl2985 I hope you have good luck at the new clinic. I’m sorry about your beta! May 2020 bring us all babies!
  • @covergirl2985 Sorry about your beta results. It’s hard, even when you are expecting it. Hopefully you will have better luck at your new clinic!

@inthewoods23 good luck on your biopsy next week! Are you doing ERA testing or a regular biopsy? Hopefully you will get results quickly and can move forward soon.

@Bharvey10 How is the wait going? Hopefully the holidays kept you busy and made the time go faster!

AFM, I can’t wait for my consult to find out what my RE recommends and when we can get started. We have done ERA testing and adjusted accordingly already, and I had a biopsy 2 years ago when I had a fibroid removed. I’m hoping the third time is the charm!

    Happy New Year!
  • @vetgirl2011 the biopsy is for both ERA and Receptiva so they're checking both our timing and for inflammation. Hope your consult goes well!

  • @vetgirl2011 the wait is going okay. I’ve never been so ready to start AF. I’m also worried about my Pap smear. I have to have it done. I have it scheduled for the 13th. I’m scared AF is going to get in the way of that or I’m not getting the results in time. My checklist due date is 1-22😢.
  • I have to have a cervical polyp removed. Has anyone ever had this done? What is the recovery like? Any pain after?

  • @covergirl2985 I had a hysteroscopy and polypectomy done at the same time. I was put under for the procedure and went home same day. Bleeding was about the same as a period post-procedure, maybe a little heavier for the rest of the day but it tapered off after a day or 2 to only needing pantiliners changed a few times a day. My paperwork said bleeding could happen for up to 2 weeks (and it did for me). I mostly just had some uncomfortable cramping in terms of pain. And some wooziness from the anaesthesia which doesn't last long for me.

I can also eat completely normal afterwards. Same with the egg retrieval. I had dinner with my dad and sister the evening of my egg retrieval and ate a greasy burger like nothing had happened earlier in the day. I also went back to work the following days post-procedure.

  • Today was such an inspiring, hope-filled day! I went in for a consult for my cervical polyp, thinking that I'd have to schedule a surgery, etc, but the MD ended up being able to take it off in the office with minimal pain and recovery time. Yay!

Then I met with my new Fertility Clinic. What a breath of fresh air! They have 2 nurses, a coordinator and the MD on just YOUR team. No overlapping coordinators, no cross-communication! They have a portal that they actually use. The MD even gave me his cell phone number! They also offer a 100% money back package that includes up to 6 IVF cycles with unlimited FETs from those cycles. If you are not pregnant or use all embryos from a cycle and wish to stop, you get your $$ back! All for $23k! Overall, I am sold!

    Next steps:
We have 3 remaining embryos and he would like to transfer 2 in February...if that FET doesn't work, he would have me do a fresh IVF cycle, and do a fresh transfer on the remaining frozen embryo we have, then do PGS testing on the new IVF cycle embryos.

I will be 35 on Feb 9 and I am finally feeling hopeful for the future! I hope everyone has this feeling at some point!

  • Great news @covergirl2985 ! Sounds like your new clinic is a much better match for you!
  • @covergirl2985 that’s great news!! I have my own team at my clinic and love it. AF is showing up now! I got my flowchart today and start BC Sunday! I hope and pray this works for us both!
  • @covergirl2985 that's awesome! GL!

AFM, after the biopsy yesterday I was told that we'd be skipping a cycle before moving into the next FET (let the body reset a little) so I should be getting AF soon, go through that cycle doing nothing, then once the next AF comes I'll go on BC to start the FET cycle so 0% chance of a FET in February. It's looking more like a late March/early April transfer time.

So consider me a lurker now, but I'll be rooting for you all!

  • @covergirl2985 my fertility clinic (RMA of Philly) has something similar- CareShare program. Though there is a time-limit so even if i never used all 6 cycles (i didnt) they can end the contract and give you the money back (they were going to do with me after 2 retrievals and 9 transfers- they were losing too much money) luckily the 10th transfer was our lucky one. our contract also stated that if we decided to quit we only got whatever money was left after they charged us full price for each retrieval and FET.

im glad you are getting a fresh start and better care. Im hoping your next transfer is the one that works 😀

  • covergirl2985 - that new clinic sounds amazing!!! Keeping fingers crossed that your next transfer with 2 embies will be a BFP!
I can't wait wait till the consultation with my new clinic next week! Hoping that they can get the ball rolling on a next round of IVF soon. My old doctor called me to ask how I feel and if I want to come back to discuss the next step. I honestly told her that I'm looking for a new clinic, although I only mentioned the reason that we moved and their clinic is really out of the way now. She was very nice about it, and even recommended a place with multiple locations (actually, the one I'm going to!).

  • I finally got the insurance approval for my meds and got them ordered. They should be here Thursday!🥰
  • I had my consultation today. I should have my baseline bloodwork and U/S this weekend or early next week, then will start meds!! I’m so excited that the wait is almost over!
@Bharvey10 When do you start your meds? Hopefully we will be on a similar schedule. It would be nice to have a transfer buddy!
@FuzzyDust Good luck at your appointment tomorrow! Let us know how it goes.
@covergirl2985 Do you know when you start meds?
  • @vetgirl2011 I start meds on the 24th. I’m currently waiting on insurance to Pre Auth my SIS/TT US.
  • Eeeee! you guys are so close to starting the prepping for the FET!!! So exciting :)
I'm addicted to lurking here, so I'm definitely going to follow the process for all of you :)

I just went to my initial consultation with the new clinic - loved it! Granted, hubby and I are pretty easy clients - we know the process, we've done it before, we know exactly what the problem is (I don't produce FSH) and what we want right now (one more child), and we're not pressured on time or limited by cycles (I don't have cycles :D ) The clinic itself was nice, everyone super friendly, they can work directly with my OBGYN (same building). They did US and bloodwork right away. Ultrasound confirmed our story, blood results showed up in my patient portal the same day (all numbers are just as expected - yay!), so now we just need to do the consent forms (online through DocuSign!), plus hubby needs to give away his sample, and then we're planning to schedule IVF in March (they are limited by the embryology department capacity).  It sounds like I don't have to do any extra test of any kind (that was my biggest fear - to have to repeat all the painful and invasive stuff). The plan is to do the same we did with the first round - retrieval + PGS + freeze all now, then relax and travel during summer, FET in Sept/Oct. Fingers crossed!
I don't know what future holds, but right now I'm pretty excited and content with the process.

  • @FuzzyDust that sounds like a great plan!
@vetgirl2011 we are still waiting on confirmation that the new clinic will accept my 3 remaining embryos. The MD has been out this week, so hopefully we'll know early next week.
I am waiting on my period to start so we can go for the baseline and bloodwork appt at the new clinic. It may be an early March transfer pending cycle...getting excited and ready to get this moving!

  • @FuzzyDust I’m glad you don’t have to repeat a lot of tests. Hopefully your new clinic makes all the difference. FX for lots of embryos next month.

@covergirl2985 I’m getting excited too! The waiting is the hardest part for me, but the last month has gone by surprisingly fast.

  • Hi ladies! Joining in on the FET fun in February, for round 3. I'm turning 40 this year, and we have 2 frozen embryos left of our original 4 (failed fresh transfer Oct 2018, failed FET Sept 2019). I do recognize a couple names here from September, and I'm happy to be on this journey with you again as well as all you other fab ladies.
I should be transferring sometime in the first week of February; a natural FET for me again with the addition of an oral steroid this round. I had baseline BW and US on Sunday following my 'gentle endometrial biopsy' on Thursday. FX that 3 is my lucky number.
Catching up on all the previous messages and enjoying reading about your protocols and experiences to date! Happy Hump Day!
  • Welcome @vanessa_lynne. Where is everyone at in there cycle. I start Lupron shots tomorrow!
  • Hey all! I might be squeezing in at the end of February (depending when my cycle decides to show up next month) and am emailing my nurse today to let her know we're moving full steam ahead after a failed FET in Oct. We decided to take the holidays off and it was nice to not think about any of that stuff for a few months! This is our last frozen embryo, so if it doesn't work, we'll have to go through a retrieval again if we decide to keep trying to add to our family - we have a 20 month old from a FET.

  • Hi all! I'm moving over here from the January board. I was scheduled for an FET 1/22, but due to a thin lining I'm benched until next month. Now I'm just waiting for my period to begin so we can get started. I've got my fingers crossed that February is the month for us all!
  • Hi ladies! Happy Monday! Got the call yesterday that we're booked for FET on Saturday! My estrogen is at 734, LH at 7, a 20mm follicle and lining at 9mm. Everything looks good. Took my HCG shot last night, starting Endometrin (3x daily) and PIO (every 2 days) today. 3rd try, here we go... 3 is my lucky/favourite number, and we have 2 frozen embryos left at this point. FX!
  • Good luck @vanessa_lynne we will be praying for you!

We just got news we were accepted into the new clinic! Right on time bc my period started today, which is 5 days early. I’ll likely start BC this week, which is a new protocol for me. I've never had to start BC once I get my period prior to transfer...is that standard? I've only had to take estradiol leading up to it, prior to PIO shots.
Fingers crossed that 3rd time's the charm this FET :)

  • @vanessa_lynne Good luck!!!
    @covergirl2985 Perfect timing!!

AFM, I’m waiting impatiently for AF so that I can start my medication and get this cycle started!
  • @covergirl2985 starting BC after AF was in all 3 of my protocols. I’ve also heard a lot of people do BC. Today was actually my last day of BC for this cycle. I think that puts them in more control of your body. I think that’s pretty standard. I hope all goes well. I’m happy that you get a new start with a new clinic!

@vetgirl2011 I hope AF is soon for you!
  • jumping over here from the January FET board since my transfer has been tentatively moved to 2/5. I've had issues with thin lining my last 2 attempts so we are trying a different protocol this time to see what I can do on my own with some Femara/Letrozole. My ultrasound yesterday showed my lining at 6.3mm and two follicles at 18mm. I go back in tomorrow for a final check...my RE wants to see 7mm lining and on follicle at 20mm. crossing my fingers!!

@covergirl2985 BC has been standard for me too every time! I think it keeps your ovaries "quiet"...at least that's what has been explained to me!
    July - September 2016 - 3 negative IUIs
    December 2016 IVF cycle - 12 retrieved, 5 fertilized, 2 frozen, 1 transferred
    August 2017 - baby boy
September 2019 - FET cancelled due to thin lining (tried pills)
November 2019 - FET cancelled due to thin lining (tried patches)
    February 2020 - FET February 6, EDD 10/25/2020

  • Good luck @vanessa_lynne

    @covergirl2985 what great timing!

@vetgirl2011 FX for you AF starts soon. Mine started Saturday night and I've never been so excited to see it before lol

AFM, I'm going in for my baseline ultrasound tomorrow with 2/17 on the calendar as a tentative transfer date. I'm ready to get the ball rolling again!
  • Hi. I’m new here. I had my first egg retrieval on January 18. I’m just waiting for my period to proceed to a transfer! Prob mid February.
