Dating scan 9 days off

I know exactly when I ovulated but the ultrasound is about 9 days behind. The heartbeat was 148bpm. My OB told me due to my age and the drastic difference in estimates of due date she wasn’t optimistic the pregnancy would be viable. She didn’t do bloodwork or anything. Anyone else have something like this happen?

Are you temping? Just because you ovulated on a certain day might not mean that the egg implanted that day. Without any bloodwork to go off of I’d try to hope for the best, prepare for the worst and wait for the follow up.

I had this exact same thing happen to me with my last pregnancy. I was measuring behind where I should have been by 9 days. I was told to expect a miscarriage, so I prepared for the worst. I must have implanted much later and thankfully now have a healthy 4 month old. I know it's scary, but try not to be too discouraged until you know for sure. Hugs.
