  • My pregnant self is eating everything right now. If it's anything like my last two pregnancies I know the morning sickness will hit hard in about 2 weeks and I won't be able to eat anything for a couple months so I'm just embracing the all-day hunger while it lasts haha.

  • I had never ending hunger all last week. I could not believe how unsatisfied I was after eating a meal. Now the morning sickness has arrived and although I need to eat nothing sounds good.

I did have a craving for apple juice on Saturday, so I ordered some when out to breakfast. I haven't had it in months, and it was the most delicious thing I've ever drank.
  • I impulse bought pickles yesterday and then ate one in the car. Such a cliche 😂

Otherwise it’s just carbs and cheese, and a weird craving for lentils. My non-pregnant self was such a healthy eater...
  • @winnie1122 how far along are you? I am also RAVENOUS but I'm only 4w3days so I feel like it must just be in my head. Tell me I'm not crazy! lol
  • I think I may need to stay off the food threads until this morning sickness has passed. Not sure if it is because I am now in my 30s and pregnant (priors pregnancies were in my 20s) but morning sickness this time around has hit me like a truck! Canada Dry, La Croix and Saltines are about all I have been able to stomach the past 2 weeks. This too shall pass ...

I'm still early (3w5d) so eating everything.  I'm feeling hungrier today, but that could be a fluke!

Currently enjoying a hazelnut decaf with a choc chip cookie (gift to our office) on this snowy afternoon.

    ETA snack now  :D

  • @gladmamma I'm only 5w4, but pretty sure this was my first symptom this time around because I was ravenous before I got the BFP. Ravenous and cranky lol. Fully expect the switch to flip soon and be sick and hate food any day now.

For all the ladies craving pickles, I just made this dill pickle potato salad. It was satisfying in so many ways.

    ETA: Fixed broken link.
  • I’ve moved into a constant snacking phase and holy cow I can’t stop eating.
  • Water has tasted terrible to me the last few days. I scrubbed my water bottle and made new ice cubes and it still tastes horrible. Hoping this phase passes quickly.

Canada Dry Ginger Ale is my new bff. That and ritz crackers. I've realized I need to eat constantly or I feel terrible, but all I want is junk food.
  • I want avacados badly. I lucked out and aldi had them on sale for 33 cents each. I bought a ton with the intention of cutting and freezing them.

But I've been eating them the last 2 days thrown in a bowl of spanish rice and sour cream on top.

I've also been drinking beet and cherry smoothies. Which tasted terrible until i switched vanilla almond milk for chocolate cashew milk.
I could drink it all day now.

We were running late for speech therapy today at we stopped at taco bell. The 2 shredded chicken burritos I got left me satisifed. But I want lemon heads to eat and I dont have any and I dont want to brave the stores this time of year.

  • @psychobutthead What a deal on avocados!!  Would you mind sharing the beet-cherry smoothie recipe?  I drink vanilla almond milk as well... costco sells organic by the case.

  • @ziggymama06 sure! I have a screen shot of it.
I'm lactose intolerant so its always almond or cashew milk for me. But the chocolate cashew milk made it taste amazing.

  • @psychobutthead Yum this sounds so good, thanks for sharing it!!  These are raw beets, right?  I've juiced beets before, but not blended them. I'm excited to try this.   :#

  • @psychobutthead all of that sounds delicious!
  • @ziggymama06 yep raw. I bought fresh beets. Washed and peeled them and then diced them small and cut all my fruit up. Divided everything into sandwich bags and froze for smoothie bags.

I do a lot of food prepping to save money every week so it was just an extra thing to make. I'm going to try a differeng smoothie once i run out. Theres a orange and spinach one high in folate.

  • @psychobutthead Oh that's awesome!!  I've prepped two smoothies at once and put the next day in ziplocs, but never thought about freezing for additional days... great idea!!  Thanks for sharing!!  I love green smoothies and usually add  spinach/ kale to whatever I'm making... and flax seed.

  • I haven't really had a lot of cravings/aversions, but I have noticed two so far. Yesterday I was really craving eggs. I ate them as two different meals. Last week, I suddenly had an aversion to mint for a few days. It's gotten a little better though; at least my toothpaste isn't making me feel sick anymore.
