  • @buffythevampireslayer hello 👋 and welcome to the Bump. So sorry you have had quite the journey TTC. I hope your stay here won’t be long. How do you like your Ava bracelet? I’ve been considering if I should get one or not but it has a high price tag and not sure if it’s worth it. I look forward to getting to know you. Everyone here is great.

  • @mindyb2019 thank you for the welcome! Re: Ava, at the time I rationalized the cost as being less than fertility treatments, so I figured if there was any chance it would help, it was worth a shot. It was useful for temping but if I could go back in time I wouldn’t have bought it, and I stopped using it once I started treatments since I was being monitored. Now that I’ve tried Ava, temping and OPKs, I don’t think Ava tells you anything of significance that you can’t get from temping and OPKs. I did buy the fancy fertility monitor from clear blue and found that more useful than Ava, so if you are considering a purchase, I might recommend that. I took the probably regretful approach of just buying whatever I thought would help me!

  • @buffythevampireslayer hmmm ok good to know. Thank you for that info on the Ava bracelet. I do use OPKs from Clearblue and I like them. I had looked into buying the fancy fertility monitor from Clearblue as well and if you found that more useful maybe I’ll just do that Instead of Ava. Does it tell you anything more useful than the advanced digital OPK’s do?
  • @mindyb2019 I believe that the monitor compares both luteinizing and estrogen levels to the the past stick to show result, whereas the advanced digital is just looking for certain standard levels. So I guess the theory it is more based on what your specific body does in terms of hormone levels. The monitor also saves your data for 6 cycles.
  • @keeponknittingon welcome! I hope you have a short sweet stay! I feel you about the other ttc forums! They get wild. 😂
