My department went out for a long team lunch today at a nice restaurant to "test it out" for our larger group holiday dinner on Monday. We bumped into our CFO while we were there, but yolo. Zero regrets, ladies. I work my @$$ off for this company.

@mvt2003 I went out for a longer lunch to meet up with DH today. My boss doesn't care as long as hour+ lunches aren't our norm. To be honest, I almost always try to have lunch with DH on days my boss isn't in the office because I drive 20 minutes to meet up with him and it never takes less than 20 minutes to order and eat. Lunches with DH are almost always an hour and 15 or 20 minutes.
A coworker of mine who retired last year used to be so critical of when people would come in to the office and how long they'd be out for lunch. Big whoop man, nobody cares.

@inthewoods23 I love that you get to have lunch together!!! Long lunches are just not possible regularly here, I get calls constantly, so it's a treat when we go out as a team because I basically have permission to ignore everything!
I hate when people judge others' lunchtimes! We mostly don't do that, I just get so many calls/emails it's hard for me to be gone for longer than an hour.

@mvt2003 our calls are much busier in the spring and summer time. The months of Nov and Dec have a huge drop in the calls we get so me being gone extra time doesn't matter, especially when there's 3 of us to handle all the calls.
