Let's Talk About Sex Baby!

Reveal baby's sex (anatomy) here! Great place to let up know results, talk about how you found out, any fun reveal plans/stories/photos, etc.

But, please don't post photos of your baby's actual genitals in real life or ultrasound. That's weird.

Quick reminder- gender does not equal sex. Sex is the actual anatomy of baby, and gender is masculine/feminine, or how they choose to express themselves. Also, intersex people do exist, and some research suggests they may be as many as 1 in 250 people with some slight physical variation away from a strict binary sex appearance. Gender expression also is unrelated to sexuality. Thanks for listening to my quick Ted Talk

Our social circle on hubby's side favors boys. Between his cousins and family friends that we regularly hang out with, there are 8 boys to 1 girl. I'm hoping number 10 swings girl 🤣

@mariabele It seems to come in waves. One group of friends had almost exclusively girls (except one poor couple with two boys the girls gang up on). Another group is mostly boys.
  • I asked during our NT today at 13 weeks 1 day, and we are having a boy!! He's already rowdy and moving a lot in there, we are going tk have an active one on our hands! I need help with names! We have so many picked for a girl but none for a boy!
  • Doing your part to restore some gender balance to this board @FigTreeMama. :p:p  :)
  • @diagonalley also our third boy - hoping my husband will be up for trying for a girl again, but who knows. We'll see how things are with three cutest wilds running around
  • My husband was so pumped when we found out we are having a boy.  Everyone in the family was hoping for a girl and he just accepted that a boy wouldn't be in the cards for him since he wanted one so bad. I was looking forward to seeing a little girl soften him up but I'm glad he got his little fishing and hunting buddy 😊
  • We found out yesterday we will have our first boy. We already have two girls! I'm looking at the world through new eyes today!

@ladybird5617 we hate pink too. It's so hard to find clothes that aren't pink! And then I have relatives who buy pink because they know I hate it. Oh well! Congrats on your sweet girl!
  • @kimber308 Right! I’m pretty sure my side will be okay with it but I already know his won’t. His aunt has three boys and is going to be so excited for all the pink and glitter 🤮 I am excited for their excitement tho! I’ll be looking for greys, yellows and teals! Congrats on your baby boy!
  • I was anti-pink when DD was born.  Her nursery was gray and yellow.  Now she is the most girly.  She loves all things pink and sparkly.
  • We didn't find out with our kids to avoid a bunch of relatives buying everything pink, frilly, and utterly useless in the functional department.

Our oldest (our son) though decided at 3 that pink and sparkly is his favorite. So that's super hilarious. His sister mostly wears his old hand me downs- which are generally as neutral as we could, but others bought strictly blue, black, green, and covered in trucks/dinosaurs. They both have long hair though, so even if they both go out dressed in super stereotypical any stuff, people see her pigtails and his long blond curls and call them both girls. We just don't care anymore. I do understand why our son gets called a girl in his hot pink snow boots and hot pink SPARKLY backpack. But I promised that as much as I hate pink, I will encourage all my kids to wear what they want, so long as it's seasonally appropriate.

  • @kerco925 @pourmeanothermocktail oh I’m totally cool with whatever she decides to like when we get there. I work with kids so I 100% understand that they will like what they like. But while she’s small and we are the only ones caring what she’s wearing, it won’t be pink.
  • Found out this morning that baby is a boy. I'm excited for L to have a brother but I'm a little sad about not having a girl. And now to find a name!

  • Hello Mamas

So I received the much-watied call this morning. Let me start by saying and most importantly the NIPT results were negative.  Then the nurse asks me if I wanted to hear the gender results, I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and said yes, she said are you ready? Yes, I am. Ok, It's.....A...Boy! I took another deep breath opening my teary eyes and said OK thank you!!!! I was hoping for a girl but that's perfect. As I got off the phone I had to get my emotions under control and be grateful our son is healthy.  I have two sons age 23 and 9 and I've always dreamed of having a daughter, so right now I'm still processing.  I hope that isn't selfish of me, but I just have to process the news. My husband was also praying for a daughter and he was the first person I called. He took the news well and was just as happy to have another son.

No gender reveal planned, I called and texted all the important people in our lives to tell them the news. TEAM BLUE :)

  • NIPT test back today. It's a girl! ♥️
Bad news is I tested positive as a carrier for fragile x syndrome. they are doing further testing and I'll see the doc in a few days. Reading up on it now. I have 2 girls that are normal and a son with autism (going to have pediatrician do some genetic testing on him now).
A little nervous but would be more nervous if I didn't have normal girls already or if it were going to be a boy.
  • I did a private scan two days ago and found out we are having a baby girl! We have five boys and three girls. The last singleton daughter we had was 19 years ago, and our twin daughters will be 12 right after this baby is born so we are thrilled! It’s been a really long time since we’ve had a baby girl in our house, so everyone is extremely excited. It’s made that much sweeter since our oldest daughter is getting married in two weeks.

Got my NIPT back this afternoon -- everything looks good and baby #3 is a BOY!!  And for good measure, baby boy decided to make himself known and kick hard enough to be certain it's him for the first time.
  • @netanyadeloach2017 love your baby girl name! We’re leaning toward Raena Reece, sorta similar
  • We got our NIPT results on Christmas Eve. Everything came back very low risk and we found out we are having a 3rd boy! We waited to share that information with family until Christmas morning!
  • @alli392 - My husband has two brothers and there are 5 nephews on his side...his family doesn't make girls!  I was in disbelief when our second was a girl.  Now, poor DD will have 7 boy cousins and 2 bothers...NO girls in her generation...and this is likely the last baby.  Enjoy your girls!!
  • It's a Girl.  This is my second and last baby.  My first is also a girl.  So glad to give her a sister.
