Symptoms/Cravings: Just like last pregnancy, my 3rd trimester milk craving has returned! The only time I find milk thirst-quenching.
Rants/Raves: Rant- I forgot to turn off my alarm from last week so I woke up at 5:45 for no reason. Rave- I have an appt. with my stylist to get a cut and wax for the first time since spring. I’ve really been neglecting myself.
GTKY- I hate winter/snow. But since I live here, I do occasionally enjoy snowmobiling.
Symptoms/Cravings: not much. Cold Water, I’m always so thirsty.
Rants/Raves: becoming more and more uncomfortable but overall feeling pretty good. I scheduled my next three two week appointments and after that is every week! we talked about inducing if I make it to 39 weeks- my kids are large and I’ve never actually made it that long with my other 2.
The reality of this kid arriving is starting to hit and I’m in a bit of a panic. The logistics of having a three year old, 20 month old, and a newborn is starting to terrify me as a sahm with a h that rarely gets home from work before 7:30pm.
Questions:
GTKY- What is your favorite winter/snow activity? (If you’ve never lived in a cold winter climate, what do you think you’d love?) observing it from inside my warm house.
Baby Size: Mad Hatter's teapot from Alice in Wonderland
Upcoming Appts: December 16th!
Symptoms/Cravings:I just don't want anything food-wise. I want cold drinks but having myself to eat with the nausea.
Rants/Raves: I think I passed my 3 hour glucose! I was super worried but waiting to hear from the doctor for confirmation! We ended up putting an offer on a house last week but ended up pulling our offer yesterday... so a bit bummed out. The panic is setting in that it's a real possibility we won't be in a new house by the time baby girl comes. Space-wise it sucks and we can deal but our rental has a mold issue and my usual bleaching has halted so I've been using vinegar to clean. Praying by some miracle we can find another home this week to put an offer on!
Questions: Nope!
GTKY- What is your favorite winter/snow activity? (If you’ve never lived in a cold winter climate, what do you think you’d love?) Sledding lol
Upcoming Appts: 12/10- every 2 weeks appointments have started
Symptoms/Cravings: Heartburn with curry/spicy food
Rants/Raves: Rant is that I'm annoyed with my workload for not slowing down. Rave is that physically I feel fantastic.
Questions:
GTKY- What is your favorite winter/snow activity? (If you’ve never lived in a cold winter climate, what do you think you’d love?) Snowboarding!! I'm bummed to be missing this season, although honestly if anyone comes to visit me during my maternity leave after 6 weeks I'll likely try to get in some spring skiing (you can't bring a baby on the hill, but if you have someone to trade off with you can take turns and even share a lift ticket).
Symptoms/Cravings: Shes kicking like crazy alllll the time. And I think shes finally head down since the kicks have now moved north on my belly
Rants/Raves:
Questions:
GTKY- What is your favorite winter/snow activity? (If you’ve never lived in a cold winter climate, what do you think you’d love?) Sitting inside by the fire drinking wine
Symptoms/Cravings: not craving too much, not a whole lot sounds good these days.
Rants/Raves:Broke out into a rash all over last week so been taking Benadryl, Claritin and oatmeal baths daily! Seems to be getting better and hoping it’s not PUPPP!
Questions: none at this time
GTKY- What is your favorite winter/snow activity? (If you’ve never lived in a cold winter climate, what do you think you’d love?) snowmobiling! I’m originally from Montana and miss the snow so much!
@brookert615- so glad you passed the 3 hour! It’s such a relief!
Symptoms/Cravings: My hips, back and right leg HURT
Rants/Raves: This boy keeps making himself comfortable on my bladder. But whatever makes him happy makes me happy
Questions: None
GTKY- What is your favorite winter/snow activity? (If you’ve never lived in a cold winter climate, what do you think you’d love?) Wearing winter clothes and hats and enjoying it not being hot.
Baby Size: Zucchini? (I'm not sure how that makes sense), As tall as a piece of paper!
Upcoming Appts: Dec. 16
Symptoms/Cravings: I haven't been sleeping well the last couple of nights. I hope it doesn't stay like this for the rest of the time.
Rants/Raves: Rant: I've officially been kicked in the ribs a few times, haha. Rave: My hair is phenomenal right now, nice and thick!
Questions: None this week
GTKY- What is your favorite winter/snow activity? (If you’ve never lived in a cold winter climate, what do you think you’d love?) I love snowboarding, I've been on the mountain since I was a kid. I tried snowshoeing last year for the first time and I enjoyed it!
Symptoms/Cravings: Lots of heartburn. Sore abdominal muscles. Tired.
Rants/Raves: Rave - first snowfall of the season! Work has a delayed opening today. The last time we lived somewhere that saw consistent snow was 2013, so I'm pretty excited.
@kiwi2628 I've noticed something similar as well. The majority of the kicks are against the top of the bump, though occasionally I get a rolling sensation followed by some kicks lower down.
@burr1371 I went to a new hairstylist two weeks ago and she asked if I felt like pregnancy was affecting my hair. I said it's hard to tell - I normally have pretty thick, frizzy hair. Like in teenage movies during the "before" scenes when the girl has really thick hair and ugly glasses. The stylist laughed and said "I'm sure it's not that bad". Cue 30 minutes later when she's blow drying it and she remarks, "Wow, your hair is so much thicker than I thought it was going to be. You have really thick hair!". Yup. Hubby also has pretty thick hair so this kid is doomed.
Symptoms/Cravings: Heartburn. Tailbone pain when sitting (love the donut I got though!)
Rants/Raves: Pseudo-rant... I tried a light jog on the treadmill last week in lieu of running since that proved a bit too ache-inducing a couple weeks prior. Turns out even a light jog on a treadmill is not in the cards. Oh well! Rave... loving having our Christmas tree up and doing our giant advent calendar stuffed with tiny goodies I picked out each day 🎄
GTKY- What is your favorite winter/snow activity? (If you’ve never lived in a cold winter climate, what do you think you’d love?) Mine is probably not walking to work in blistering cold wind now that I live in a warmer climate
@burr1371 hope you get some rest soon... I went to my first breastfeeding class this week and the realization of the upcoming sleep deprivation is starting to sink in... FX yours can hold off a bit longer!
@um_thor I can’t jog either not even with tape and a belly band. Even walking gets me achey. Weight lifting and rowing all day, but something about the downward pull and hip strain of walking/running is a bad combo for pregnancy. The other side of all this is starting to sound so appealing! It’s the biological imperative- we’re supposed to be desperate to be done at the end!
@brookert615 yay for passing the 3-hour glucose test! Are there a lot of houses on the market right now? It must be so stressful.
TTC#1 10/2018: MFI (2 SA under 9 million/ml) 11/2018: HSG shows right Fallopian tube slightly damaged 1/2019: Husband diagnosed with grade 3 varicocele 4/05/2019: varicocele repair surgery 6/13/2019: BFP!!! EDD: 2/22/2020 Baby girl born 2/27/2020 7/18/2019: Total Motile Count at 3 months post surgery = 51 millions!! (number must be >20 millions to conceive naturally).
Symptoms/Cravings: Charlie horses a few nights a week while I’m sleeping
Rants/Raves: my ob yesterday called my baby girl a linebacker for already being so big and I’m so small still. Worried about delivering a 12 lb baby.
Questions:
GTKY- What is your favorite winter/snow activity? (If you’ve never lived in a cold winter climate, what do you think you’d love?) I live in Florida so we don’t get much of a winter but anytime the temp hits the 60s, I get excited to wear comfy sweaters!
@sunsetseeker02 my brother and I were both huge babies... and neither of us turned out to be linebackers 😂 Sorry you’re stressing! ❤️
@craftywitch I tried rowing but it feels so awkward with my belly in the way! Been sticking to bikes and ellipticals mostly. Agreed... by the end I will be so excited to be less restricted in my physical activities!
@rikiteacup Thank you!!! Yes, super happy about the 3-hour test lol! And that's a part of the problem, not many houses on the market and when one pops up - everyone wants it!
@sunsetseeker02 My brother was a huge baby but ultimately he is barely average height for a guy. And he was terrible at football when my parents tried to sign him up as a kid.
