Um whatever hospital in your area has better resources. If there is a chance they may be in NICU do they both have one? Or will they have to be transferred, if needed?
Who does your doctor affiliate with? Which one is covered by your insurance?
Ask Round to friends, co workers, etc who delivered where and get their experience. Even if a singleton.
Maybe doing some research of the two hospitals will benefit you - as private vs. Public really means nothing in the grand scheme if thing .
When I delivered my twins my doctor wanted me at the hospital with the highest level NICU in the area. There were 2 in the area with similar capabilities but I ended up at the private hospital only because it was the only one of the 2 that she had privileges. I would have been fine with either though. I knew several people that had great experiences at both. So basically everything pp said!
