Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Wednesday 11/13

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. • Staying here until tomorrow, I'm pretty sure O was yesterday or today!

    Month/Cycle: 15/15

    CD:14

    WAYDTGKU: IF Testing

R/R: I've got a crazy day today - tons of work (plus a mid-day RU appt for MH :# ) and then after work I have to go home and cook (keto means takeout is a thing of the past!) and then I have to run to Kohls to pick up the order for my MiL's bday tomorrow. Her bday gift was a SAGA, but glad we're done with our piece.

I also have to work out again tonight because my co-worker challenged me to another Apple Watch competition, so I've got to win! :D

CS/Q: Last night, I noticed I had a TON of brown CM, which I never see mid-cycle. Has anyone seen that before? It was weird, but some light research told me sometimes you can get that during O.

  • @kpearse99 I'm holding firm on the keto for MH too - he would definitely waver more if I wasn't on top of it! I also refuse to cook multiple meals so I feel you! I feel like if I wasn't using a cup (post HIO, gotta keep whatever I can up in there! :D ) I would not have seen so much CM - it would have been slight spotting but not much. So who knows? I'm glad Lola did well out of the crate!!!! Also, just my opinion, but I think you're right to ask to add progesterone. At this point, I think you've got nothing to lose and it's not going to hurt anything so why not!

  • @bluetickgal I hate that about OPK's too... there are so many things that can affect the result, it's annoying and frustrating!

  • @inthewoods23 I’m hoping it’s just a busy time of year for everyone because it does feel too quiet in here!
  • @inthewoods23 I had the same realization with the October Grad Check-in thread and while it makes me happy to know them and their journeys it stings quite a bit that I'm still here  :(  sigh. And there have been a few newbies that graduated.

@kmalls winter hit here too today, and it SUCKS!!!! I hope that heated water bowl comes soon!!

  • Month/Cycle: 3/3? (We started trying mid-September, so I guess this is 3rd month...)

    CD: 1 (BOOOOO)

WAYDTGKU: Tracking BBT, OPK, apps on phone, doin' it a ton.

R/R: I was hoping to be pregnant this month so I could announce it at Christmas, but it seems the universe doesn't care about what I want. I am in a horrible depressed mood today and just want to drown my sorrows in hard cider. On the bright side, I get my copy of Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch this weekend, so that should distract me a little bit. I feel so pathetic today :(

CS/Q: None yet. Seems pointless to show a CD1 chart lol

  • @jtdamm2018 haha I've had that dream too. The perfect Christmas present then 👎

Family birthdays also work out with announcing in either October or April for a due date in April or October. Like hey Dad here's your gift. It's also an early gift for mom. Boom, best birthday gift ever of another grandkid.

Our next FET may be close to this becoming a reality though! I've got hope.

  • @mvt2003 I do sometimes get brown CM around O. Not sure why.

@kpearse99 yeah keto is hard. My husband and I have tried to do it a few times and we have never stuck with it for more than maybe 2 months. One of us ends up caving and giving in to carbs and whoever it is ends up luring the other to the dark side of carbs also.

@bluetickgal I was reading something the other day that said that it doesn't matter if you are chugging water because the LH surge produces so much LH that you'll get a positive OPK without a hold and without restricting fluids. I was kinda annoyed with whoever wrote that because yeah that might be  true for some people but plenty of other ladies aren't going to have such a massive LH spike. Or maybe the author was greatly underestimating how much water some people drink? Either way. At least you still have time, probably, to catch the LH surge!

@inthewoods23 I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like the threads have been weirdly quiet lately. I was wondering the same thing about how maybe a lot of people graduated. Or maybe just a cee very chatty people graduated? Or maybe a lot of people have just been slammed with work and life nonsense so they haven't had time to post? I don't know but it has been quiet.

@kmalls ugh yes to winter arriving like the koolaid man yesterday. It went from being in the 50s or 60s lately to suddenly being 12 with snow. I was not prepared. That's annoying about the chickens. Hopefully you get the new water thing soon so you can stop needing to run out in the cold.

    @jtdamm2018 sorry about CD1.

  • @inthewoods23 yes, and I have definitely not figured out that balance! I think quite a few newbies have graduated...it is very quiet in the dailies lately! We’ll be cheering you on, even in March!
@kmalls haha, yes...I would pay a premium for those OPK’s! Ugh, winter hit out of nowhere here too, we actually did get snow yesterday! Hope your heated watering container arrives soon!
@jtdamm2018 so sorry for CD1! I also thought how nice it would be to announce to family at Christmas...but that ship has sailed! Enjoy Skyrim...MH is a gamer and is a Skyrim fan!
@NamelessAria that’s interesting! I did a 3 hour hold with limited water today and still didn’t get a great control line...so I don’t think I fall into that camp of people! With PCOS, I almost always have a slight test line...and I also think I have a pretty short surge, so I’m not a fan of doing OPK’s in general! We are in KY and our weather sounds just like yours...are you close to KY?
  • @jtdamm2018 sorry about cd 1.
@kpearse99 good luck with your appointment tomorrow. Fx she keeps doing well outside of the crate!
@kmalls single digit temperatures sound brutal. We are cold but not that cold. I fee like winter came out of the blue. It was 70 on Monday and now it’s in the low 20’s at night and in the morning.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 18

    WAYDTGKU: pnv, sex

R/R: I’m tired AF and want to go to bed at 7pm. Good thing I telework tomorrow.

CS/Q: I’m also crampy today and I believe, crossing fingers, that I’m ovulating today or tomorrow.

  • @mvt2003 Good luck with your Apple Watch competition! I used to do those with friends via my Fitbit, but now I have an Apple Watch and I feel left out haha

@kpearse99 Hope your RE visit refreshes you, but you had a rough weekend. You might just have to feel it for a few days. Glad your pup did well out of the crate!

@bluetickgal That was my problem with OPKs, and then last month I started using them just first thing in the morning so I didn't have to deal with all the varying colors throughout every day. It made me feel way less confused and stressed, buttt I didn't get KU so I can't necessarily say it's the best strategy...

@inthewoods23 I don't know about other people, but sometimes it's hard for me to get here until the end of the day, and then to take the time to keep up with all the threads. But I really want to and y'all are awesome, so I'm coming back as much as I can.

@kmalls Your comment about things you never thought you'd be doing made me smile. Life is weird that way!

@jtdamm2018 Sorry for CD1. Drown those sorrows accordingly.

    Month/Cycle: 9/9

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: Vitamins, sleep, yoga, meditation, waiting, sex just for fun because I'm starting to forget what that's like  :|

R/R: I got a consultation for Smile Direct today and it was really cool! I got a free whitening kit and an Amazon gift card, and the scanning technology they have now is so interesting. They use a camera to map out your whole mouth. (I had braces when I was a kid and I remember gagging on those disgusting impressions the dentist always had to take.) I'm waiting to see how much my insurance will cover before I commit. I figure (since I can't get rid of TTC brain and everything always comes back to that) if I can't be KU at least I can have straighter teeth.

    CS/Q: Nada.

  • @blackgirlmagic I wanna go to bed already too!!

@ssbl ugh those puddy molding trays are the WORST!!! I gagged so much from them!!
